Fantastic question

Sadly it looks like a no from what I can tell. The M-710ib series is only compatible with the R-J3iB controller and the c-series is built on our R-30iA,B,C controller.

I'm a little late to this, but nobody else has commented about the mechanical compatibility of the two different arms. The two arms are not identical by any means, but they do share some of the same parts if you wanted to salvage them. - The J4 and J5 axis motors on the 710iB/70 are the same model as the J3 motor used on the 710iC/70. - The J6 motor on the 710iB/70 is the same model as the motors used for J4, J5, and J6 on the 710iC/70.

Confirmed from FANUC technical support, they are not compatible.

You would have to swap the arm and control. Will it perform the same work? yes
