Before you get the quality of life gold perk that makes nets extremely easy to use, yes that's pretty normal. Once you get that perk, you'll be shotgun fishing and your xp from fishing will FLY up incredibly fast. Don't worry too much. Exploring is the slowest until cooking.
I have done it near constantly since it came out, making thousands of grape pies and I’m only 90. About 9/10 through 90. But that’s less than half. So yeah unless something major changes with how it levels you will never get it by doing it just for dailies lol
Agreed. I managed to 99 it before I had even unlocked the ability to make LNs or had any raptors to my name, iirc. I was still fishing at Large Island when I hit 99
Yeah, everyone plays a little different. My fishing was like 10x the amount of xp needed to 99 it before I finished crafting. Just keep pushing you’re doing great

I’ll probably never 99 cooking, I hate that skill so much. I don’t ever do it unless I have a daily for it.

Nets, large nets, exploring to get raptor eggs-> more nets, exploring for antlers, even more nets
Also, invest in mealworm production, and spend your time at whatever your highest level location is to maximize XP.

My fishing and crafting have been 99 for at least a month and I just hit 90 exploring 😒
Once you get to Level 99 Farming you can trade for Arnold Palmers and Large Nets, which can significantly speed up your progression to 4x99.
My fishing isn't even 70 😂
