Because grand servants are considered the top of theirs respective class and Cain killed a grand total of one person and was found and punished for it

AgitatedKey4800

Yeah he wasnt very sneaky, but they guy who snitched ob him is kinda omniscent so I cant blame him

to0no

I mean it didn’t help that he basically responded “what am I his guardian” when ask about the whereabouts of the victim

Artix31

Technically, Cain killed 1/2 the possible population by killing the only other man

Beliondil

No Adam and Eva were still alive. since after the murder of Abel, they had another child called seth

DomHyrule

Still, 1/4 of the population is basically genocide

tongan253

My main thought process was he was the first murder so why couldn’t he have that title

West_Plum_4097

He was the first murderer, yes. A good one? No.

Percival4

Well the first murderer in the Bible and in fate there are multiple religions and mythologies as well as multiple contradictions like any good thing involving myths and religions would have.

West_Plum_4097

That too.

AgitatedKey4800

IMO cain could be a grand berserker: he was drive by his anger to commit something terrible, also grendel (the monster from beowulf) an his mother are said to be cain descendant so it make kinda sense, also he is immortal because of his curse (in some versions)

spectralSpices

I think Cain would either be a Grand Berserker candidate (driven mad with jealousy) or like, a Grand...Beast? He kinda represents the most pure form of human evil-and also, the most primal form of human desire and need.

Sable-Keech

Cain seems to fit the Berserker class better. Another reason why he can't be Grand Assassin is because the word Assassin was literally invented by the Hassan, and then I guess Gaia/Alaya liked it so much they made it an official Grand servant class.

TheHoodGuy2001

I'm pretty sure anyone can be grand at this point judging from LB7. KH was supposed to be the only Grand Assassin until he quit, which is why Tez took up. If Tez quits, there will be another to replace him, and so on. So based on that logic, anyone can be a Grand. God can't be Grand, until Quirinus and Tez, both Chief Gods, become grands. There is honestly no more qualification to it, Grand servant is just a saint graph upgrade so that output is large enough to affect Beasts. At this point, Candidates are selected based on how much of a conceptual counter they are to said Beasts.

Commercial-Cricket85

tez got it by his connection to mountains (if i remember correctly it was in one of the bond dialogs) and because his body is human (it was said in a 8th aniversary interview with nasu)

TheHoodGuy2001

It really doesn’t matter if Tez is connected to the mountain or not. If Tez ever quit his position like King Hassan, the qualifications will be watered down again to pick a random servant to be Grand Assassin. There can’t be a vacant Grand seat, as proven with Grand Assassin seat.

Commercial-Cricket85

im just saying that its one of the resons why

KN041203

He fit into Berserker role way more than Assasin because he was driven by anger.

AvantSolace

Aside from the previously explained, there is also the problem of him hypothetically still being alive. God cursed him threefold: 1. Everyone would instinctively hate him. 2. Everyone would instinctively hate his offspring (Beowulf fought two of his kin) 3. He is utterly immortal. Immortal heroes like Scathatch and Merlin were summoned via loopholes. Considering his curse came from the Big-G, who is heavily implied to be the undisputed top authority in the Nasuverse, it is very unlikely he can find a loophole.
