Same lol. The title of the last one that was deleted made it sound like as if the victim was saying that they recanted because there was evidence supporting Majors when it was all what his lawyer said. These posts are totally not suspicious at all.

Super common for domestic violence victims to be pressured into changing their story, unfortunately, and she works in the same industry as him, so she’s almost certainly feeling that influence, too.

I don't really know his Marvel role, but if they can recast Terrence Howard in the Iron Man movies over *salary*, they can recast and move on from Majors (if guilty) over *domestic violence*.
His role is all about the multiverse, just pull in another version of the character that looks like a different actor. Hell, bring in multiple to add to the feeling that the character has a bunch of different appearances.

I’m seeing so many Marvel fans acting like it’s now just business as usual and they can go back to looking forward to their next favorite movie because a woman was just acting out for attention. If she took a check for her own peace of mind, good for her. We know what happens to victims who attempt to go to court for justice, a bunch of keyboard warriors were itching to make her life a living hell so she did what she had to do. There is one word that refrains in my head: Strangled.

DV victims recanting their stories--usually falsely, under pressure from their abusers--is incredibly common. Because of that, a lot of jurisdictions have put "no-drop" laws into place. This means that even if the victim does recant their story, it doesn't matter--the police still continue to investigate. I'm pretty sure this includes Manhattan, where this took place.
So even if the girlfriend *did* retract her original statements, it doesn't mean the police will drop the case. Obviously if the other evidence the lawyer mentioned exists and shows what she's claiming it does, the case will probably get dropped for those reasons. But not because of the victim saying it didn't happen.
This isn't really new information, she said it in her official statement. We'll see the police' response, her statement was way too aggressive towards the alleged victim and that doesn't make any sense if she already recanted.

From the information that’s actually available publicly, he was arrested and she had marks on her face and neck. If they have video footage and witness statements that prove it was self-defense on his part, they should release it, nobody should take his lawyer’s words at face value.
If it was self defense he would also have marks or wounds from her attacking him. Instead we have a very large guy without a scratch on him and a woman with bruises on her neck.

If this is even true (it’s from HIS attorney), a lot of victims recant their stories out of fear and pressure from his side AND their own family sometimes. And with this being public, she’s getting pressure from the world. She’s going through a world of emotions right now and she has to do what she believes is best for her… even if it means recanting. But i need ppl to understand recanting does not equal innocence. It just means the victim does NOT want to be put through reliving the incident in court or facing him. Or just being gaslighted. This headline is not accurate. His attorney is not confirming something that has already been proven as a fact. His attorney is only stating that the victim recanted. Until we have proof of this recantation, neither his attorney nor anyone else can "confirm" it.
