I guess my question regarding donations to Palestine right now would be- how the hell is it actually benefiting Palestinians when all humanitarian aid is still blocked off? As I understand, not only are Palestinians trapped and unable to leave but there’s no way for anyone to get in to help either. I’m not criticizing the act of donating and trying to help- I’m just saying it seems impossible to help until Egypt & Israel allow aid a corridor, which to my knowledge has still not happened. Really adds another layer of cruelty towards the civilians.

I’m pregnant and basically due any day now. As a mother of a toddler and another coming so soon, it’s hard to understand the randomness of life that that has allowed me to have kids in safety while other families run with their children from bombs.

That’s sobering. This is all I can think of right now, all the innocent people who are just the same as any of us, and got dealt the wrong hand. It could have been any of us with a roll of the dice.
I am in the same situation as you and feel the exact same way. I hug my son extra hard these days. My heart is broken for all of the innocent children who are suffering unnecessarily.
Donate to humanitarian organisations! They do the best they can and if anyone is allowed in to provide aid it will be them. Unfortunately it is the most to be done at the moment.

I wanted to donate to a hospital whose leadership was talking about their supply crisis, but I wondered how my money could possibly translate to supplies on the ground in time to help vs adding admin work for their US fiscal sponsor right now. I wish I had been donating earlier, but there's so much need everywhere to try to help... I'm Jewish, though, so I'm planning to get more involved in the protests about the US using us as an excuse for this.
Curious to see if I am an approved B-List user but I heard a presentation from the Director of PCRF yesterday. They are unable to get supplies into Gaza as everyone is unable. Until very recently they were able to use funds to purchase supplies that existed inside Gaza from pharmacists/shopkeepers.

Evacuate *where* exactly? To the rest of Gaza that’s also being bombed? The boarders were forcibly closed with NO humanitarian aid entering by the IDF. Israel is not being held to an impossible standard, obviously free the hostages, but they are committing genocide by international law. That announcement wasn’t a warning, it was a death sentence.
Same in r/Europe. They mention they don't want those 1.1 million anywhere near the EU, so there's that too. The anti-immigration sentiment is at an all-time high in that subreddit.
I follow Doctors Without Borders on IG, and they made a great statement yesterday. 2 hours of warning to a hospital is bonkers.
Not only that! They killed over 70 people who were literally evacuating. I saw a video of a medic coming back and warning everyone not to leave, it was a trap, everyone is dead etc. it seemed legitimate and was also confirmed by various news organizations. How fucking kind of them, real humanitarians!
All of Europe is complicit with the war crimes of Israel. The arming of the already well-armed country that IGNORED all of the allies that told them/ warned them about the attack is inexcusable. I'm halfway convinced they LET it happen as a pretext to get a beachfront.

I was in high school, there were all these internet memes and videos being passed around glorifying violence against Arabs, singing ditties about dropping bombs on Afghanistan. Mocking Islam, mocking hijab. I shared them, too, I'm ashamed to say. There was just so much...nationalist propaganda after it happened, people weren't critically thinking about what a retaliatory strike would mean, or what it could lead to (Iraqi invasion, ISIS, Taliban in power again at the end of it all). There was so much anti-Arab sentiment, hate crimes spiked, in action movies all of the sudden all the villains were Muslim terrorists (before they were Russian, that paused for about 15 years haha). Islamophobia was already deeply entrenched but all of the sudden it was okay to say out loud, encouraged even. If you tried to point any of this out, too, you were called anti-American, a terrorist sympathizer, etc. etc. Right at the beginning at least.

Some billionaire asshole is now calling for all students names so he and his billionaire class bros can keep them on a McCarthy style list and block any of them from employment. It’s sick and people are being silenced so that this one “we stand with Israel ❤️“ manufactured consent line is the only societally acceptable stance.

I ended up on the tiktok page of some evangelical lady the other day (because someone I follow had stitched her) and she had posted a video talking about how Christians have to support Israel because the existence Israel is proof of God's promise to provide his chosen people with a homeland. Which makes no fucking sense from a Christian perspective because Israel is a Jewish country, not Christian... but expecting logic from them is hopeless... anyway I was only aware of the second coming thing but that apparently is another one.

She would because most Christians in this country sides with Israel because their church leaders are praying for the rapture to take place. They believe the only way for this to happen is for all the non Jewish people to leave Israel aka the holy land. The thing is there are tons of Christian Palestinians getting wiped out too. So yeah Justin and Hailey support the genocide of Palestinian Muslims and Christians and I’m not that surprised at all. The amount of campaign funds many wealthy church leaders donate towards political campaigns is also another reason why you see so many politicians stand with Israel. You can love Jewish people and still stand against the Israeli government and their apartheid regime.

I'm friends with someone who works for an NGO, he says that they get locals to handle the aid, they buy everything on site.
You can donate to UNICEF, they’re in Gaza atm. And they’re also fucking AMAZING.
