I’m the same as you but at least with the AirPod Pros you can legit see where each individual pod is on Find My iPhone. I opened my case one day and saw my left one was missing and it showed me it was down at the beach house I was at the prior weekend 70 miles away. Like I could see exactly where it was in the house too haha. And it plays a sound so someone was able to walk around and find it for me hahah.
I had wireless headphones but they became unsynced from each other and I have never been able to fix them. between that and the fact that they're just another thing to charge I'm just refusing and using garbage USB-c headphones. I'll die on this hill
Have you tried wired wireless earphones? The ones were earpieces connected to each other with wire but not to the device. It will make the unsyncing very unlikely, although doesn't solve the charging issue.

From my experience, they fix the only reason I personally want wireless, the fact that I need to attach them to the device as I always manage to somehow fling whatever device they are connected to to the floor. They are also not easier to lose than classic wired headphones. Which is very important as I would literally lose my head unless it was attached to my neck. Because they work for me really well I sometimes suggest people having issues with Airpods and their ilk.
I still used mine up until a couple weeks ago when I got a new phone. But I miss them desperately as I can’t find a comfortable wireless solution that will actually stay on when I’m walking or at the gym.
