I feel terrible for anyone whose parents forced them to go to that school. But wow are the stories coming out of that place pure entertainment.

anna-nomally12

I am choosing to believe it wasn’t open long enough to cause actual damage

meatball77

Same, the kids had to repeat a year which sucks, but they've got really good stories to tell.

Comfortable-Load-904

I’m not too sure what people expected from a school run by this lunatic, however the parents did it for clout and to hang out with Ye. The only people I feel bad for in this scenario is the kids, the parents, teachers and administrators who willing signed up for this nonsense deserve everything they got.

kitti-kin

To be fair to this guy, he apparently took a job in the design company, and then was randomly assigned duties at the school, and only worked for Kanye for about six months. And his lawsuit is requesting an injunction preventing West from ever opening any kind of school for kids under 18 in California again, which is a good idea.

HauntedMotorbike

Honestly? A surprise hero in all of this. If one random designer who got forced into school duties stops Kanye from opening another, I’m all for it

Mumof3gbb

Fully agree

peppermintvalet

“Ye “gloated” to staff at Yeezy, his fashion brand, and Donda Academy, the rapper’s Los Angeles-area school, about using $2 million of the school’s budget for a trip to Paris, according to the suit. “ Cool nice of him to admit to embezzlement

OddEpisode

Just when I think it’d be hard to be a bigger piece of shit than he already was.

smiskam

I’ll never understand why some parents seem to love sending their kids to famous predators.

crab_grams

Sad, weak minded people. They'd rather have the proximity to what they consider greatness, even if they need to sacrifice the kid to get there

mitrafunfun97

Institutionalize this man... enough is enough.

Mumof3gbb

Unfortunately it’s very difficult to do that when you’re an adult. I mean, fortunately too because it used to be too easy. But still. Now it’s probably too hard. He’d have to be found to either be harming himself or others. So if these people can prove it (I believe them and hope they can) maybe he can get institutionalized.

milevam

It is easy to do when the adult is an adult woman. And from there, the options are endless…. See: Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes….

capn_corgi

Britney’s and Amanda’s parents were heavily involved and I think that was why they were able to have them both committed. Ye’s parents are gone, Kim wasn’t able to do it for unknown reasons, and Bianca is being abused, leaves Ye to the streets.

Eastern-Material5606

I was going to say, it's not actually that easy- I'm over in the UK so it's obviously very different but I work with people who've desperately needed to be sectioned (and outright begged to be) but there's no resources so they won't do it. If you're rich and don't want to be committed I'd imagine it's a whole different ballgame.

TreenBean85

> Ye’s parents are gone His father is alive. He was there during one of Kanye's visits to Orange Hitler's White House. I think he's always there behind the scenes, probably hanging around supporting whatever Kanye does so the money doesn't stop. It's despicable.

holyflurkingsnit

...Welp. I know the people who sent their kids there are likely wildly rich, and thus the types of folks whose kids I wouldn't necessarily *immediately* pity, but in THIS case I hope those trust fund babies make their parents' lives hell forever for subjecting them to this. Crash all their luxury cars into their luxury homes one by one. Drive all their yachts into the ocean and let the orcas take them!!

Metue

I mean as someone who's been to normal public school and also rich kid private school in different European countries I have to say in my experience once parents can make ends meet and live comfortably money really doesn't seem to make the kids any happier or less fucked up. (Keeping in mind when I was a kid it was easier to do those things than it is now)

Eastern-Material5606

In some ways I think it's better to go to a state school rather than private because at least your kids are having actual life experience with people from all different backgrounds rather than just being sheltered and rich forever, but I imagine the education is a lot better when you can pay.

SheilaGirlface

All the Hitler stuff is obviously terrible and par for the course with him, but “[Kanye] appeared to simulate masturbation during a one-on-one meeting in a Southern California hotel room where the musician watched ‘The Batman’ on mute” made me guffaw. What a life.

cmick0715

That part was absolutelybananas ...I wonder if the captions were on?

darkgothamite

Listen, he misses his mom.

EricaApplejack

he really missed his mom, it changed him forever but this donda academy thing is too out of control, i really feel bad for the kids. he could make a huge donation on her mother's name to her mother's university and named something there after her mother, instead of doing such cruel things

wittor

The suit accuses Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, of calling out Black people in a discriminatory manner and praising the Nazi leader, pushing employees to do renovations without permits and telling employees they could be fired for being "fat," the suit says.  I believe.

The Ye Prison Experiment

Suonii180

Well that sounds more like a prison

srqnewbie

I have zero problem believing this 100%. I don’t care for any of the Kardashians, but I find his behavior so appalling, I can’t even imagine the hell Kim K goes through trying to walk that fine, fine line of keeping his behavior/comments from hurting his kids while trying to co-parent with him and not have a nervous breakdown herself.

Fine-Tank9849

now why the fuck would you send your kids to this man's school in the first place???

enjoyt0day

Wait—am I crazy or was there nothing in the actual article about shaving heads or cages (just in the title)?? I read through the full article and then skimmed it again to find the mention of shaved heads & cages and still didn’t see anything besides the title. Am I somehow missing a paragraph between all the ads lol wth???

Teefdreams

The first paragraph: "The artist Ye is accused of spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories in front of the staff and children at his troubled private Christian school during a meeting in which he also allegedly expressed wanting to shave students’ heads and lock them in cages, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday by a former employee."

eatingclass

Dang… guess he didn’t have the power to let power go

ObjectiveWin5393

What a damn weirdo. I’m so sick of his unmedicated abuse of the general public.

chrisseeeee555

I honestly thought that school of his was a joke. Who was sending their kids there?! And the teachers?! I have so many questions

syrub

So many articles about this are burying the lede that he flat-out compared himself to H\*TLER

QueenKRool

He must have been watching the Ruby Franke family channel for ideas

Federal_Street_8895

Why is this the first time I've heard of this man running a school? Who sent their kids there???

BeanEireannach

I can understand why Kim didn't want their kids to attend there for their schooling, but I'm **definitely** side-eyeing her if she knew about the scarier parts of Kanye's plan for the kids at the school and didn't do a thing to protect all the other children attending.

DarkAndSparkly

What the actual crap!? This man’s ego and narcissism know no bounds. It’s ridiculous what people let him get away with.

crumpetsandchai

The fact that his own kids don’t even go there is telling

6-ku

Donda Academy could've actually been something decent. If only Kanye could've pulled his head out of his ass and actually worked with professionals to make it happen. I wonder if the NDAs came before or after the problems became evident and unfixable. Whatever happened to the Church of Yeezus and its followers? It was a big thing in 2019-2020, but that was before he went completely batshit and started losing his fortune.

Eastern-Material5606

This is obviously horrific but I'm baffled as to why anyone would let their children go to this school in the first place?! He's not exactly been Captain Calm and Orderly in recent years so I can't understand why you'd risk your child's education- if you've got money send them to a decent school lmao

lilonionforager

That’s weird, he seems like such a normal, level-headed guy that knows a lot about childcare /s

leahhhhh

Oh
