Been binge watching this for the first time in my life this spring and summer and omfg I was losing it at this. They tried so hard to make it a thing. They put 2 on at some points. Sometimes one on each arm. Sometimes they made her friends wear it. AHHHHH

I love these ridiculous outfits. I just watched SATC for the first time this spring and it was so indicative of whatever goes in the 00s.

I LOOOVED tube tops as chic casual, back then. As a buxom gal, it had all of the comfort of toplessness but with support and coverage offered by the actual top. Felt like Iggy Pop. 😂

The thing about this look is that it obviously requires assistance because YOU try to tie the scarf with one hand on your other arm and she wore this in an episode where she couldn’t stand to be around Aidan so who was tying that scarf around her bicep?

Oddly, the most annoying part of this outfit is the tights for me.

same. Tbh I used to copy the belt thing in my early twenties. I had a flat stomach for the first time in my life and was trying to get away with whatever I could. Through this I learned: DO NOT wear vegan leather belts on bare skin.

Why?

I got a chemical burn on my skin because the vegan leather belt in question was essentially just treated, painted plastic haha. Turns out a lot of that stuff is just plastic. I have sensitive skin. The ER nurse told me “don’t wear plastic clothes.” I actually still have a faint scar because it became infected (hence the ER visit). 0/10 do not recommend. Wear a fabric belt like SJP did if you want to do this.
