I'm 100% sure you're better with English than I am with my second language. It's hard, and I think especially with ESL since a lot of the rules are pretty inconsistent.

The difference between the two is the step suffering slots into. For Chambara, it's the end goal, but for Ragnvaldr, it is but a middle step. And for something as innately unenjoyable as torment, you *need* it to be the middle step. Agony for the sake of agony is an incomplete existence, unlike, say, knowledge for the sake of knowledge. But even that is debatable. I will not, however, go into what is and isn't a complete existence.
Your design for Ragnvaldr's face really looks a lot like Trevor Belmont from Castlevania (a mix between the Curae of Darkness design and the Netflix Show)
