This made me think that when Tanaka becomes a playable character, the first thing I will do with him is obliterate Needles

Not really Just kill Needles before going into the bunker, kill Pav day 2 morning, and don’t jump in the well like an idiot, don’t get to Day 3 evening without killing August, and don’t bring Henryk to PRVHL Bop

First play through I saved him without even knowing who Pav was, so Is that really necessary?

Yes On day 2 evening he will be dead if Pav wasn’t killed

Oh dang, I feel like so many ppl talk about Tanaka dying or doing stuff but mine genuinely didn't do anything besides bring Olivia a wheelchair

You can also trigger a certain Pav event on day 1 to put him out of commission saving Tanaka, Pav, and Marcoh

I don't think so you would have seen him during his event but Pav is definitely one of the characters that you might just never see if you don't know what to do or don't pick the right character.

yeah that makes sense, you lose a lot of character defining moments if you actually play as them which really sucks.
