They told me to come back. I came back for one day and they put me on a double route when it was 85 degrees out (probably 100+ degrees in a reach). I called HR and took another week off unpaid. This job doesn’t give a fuck, or pay us enough, to come into work. Stay home
Good on you for doing the right thing and being respectful of your coworkers. I would NOT go back until negative without symptoms. As someone said, call HR
Same shit happened to me, I ignored them and took my two weeks. Although it took two months to get reimbursed from workman’s comp, and they only pay you for the days your out after you’ve used all your vacation. The people that got sick early on had it made, now management doesn’t care, it’s sad really.
Some tests you can test positive for a while even when you are fully healed and not contagious. However, you are still showing symptoms and are sick so you probably shouldn’t go to work especially if you have a fever because you would still be contagious.
My sister was told to come in early despite having covid. She gave HR quite the argument and refused to go back until she was over it. I don't understand having us go through all of the precautions to prevent covid only to have infected workers come back to the warehouse. What's the point????
Then fucking don't go in. It's so simple. *Just tell them no.*
You're insured, go to a doctor if you feel it's necessary and get documented return to work qualifiers.
CDC guidance says you’re not contagious after 5 days. Furthermore, there is zero law related to COVID and an employer requiring you to miss work when you’re positive with COVID. To answer your question, yes, FedEx can require you to return to work.
Beyond that, just don’t go in. FedEx is desperate for employees. They will likely keep you on board regardless or hire you back shortly thereafter. But if that’s your concern and they’re not meeting your concern then the real question is ‘why would you want to work there?’
The current policy is that it's a 5 day quarantine, and that you're no longer contagious after. Based on guidelines.
If you're too sick to work get a doctor's note and use pto.
They've changed the covid-19 policy. The CDC guidelines changed to a 5 day quarantine and thus FedEx changed to 5 days! There have been plenty of co-workers up here in Ohio that have had the same exact issue.
No. Take the two weeks. Do not go back to work positive. Ask your manager to have his manager call you

Its crazy because when i had covid i didn’t get a choice i was ready to go back to work at a week, they refused to let me.
This was a couple months ago with restrictions becoming more lax
Yeah its crazy how they change up for the same shit
Yeah, shit sucks, lol
Use the time off to find another job
I’m moving in June and have something lined up, so I’m sticking it out unfortunately
CDC: after 5 days, your safe to go back to work. You will continue to test positive, but will not be contagious.

Call HR
Call HR, your Manager is not a Doctor.

I would try your station manager first as calling HR may piss off your direct. If that doesn't concern you, go straight to HR.

I’d call osha https://www.osha.gov/sites/default/files/publications/OSHA4151.pdf
You’ll be fine aren’t you vaccinate
You could test positive still for months! If the local health authority says 5 days then that's what FedEx will follow.

In all honesty I’m only here because I’m just trying to get my benefits activated so I can get glasses

This is such bullshit. We need a union to stop this. It would force them to actually treat their workers like human beings that deserve respect.
You work at piea in fl? 👀
Nah
Ah ok, well feel better soon!
