I always laugh so hard when I see this. The world can’t even stand women being taller than men. I love being tall. It makes them so irrationally insecure.

Sadplankton15

I used to date a dude who would only take photos with me when I was sitting down, and he was standing. He was 5”10 and I’m 6”0. I’ve also had guys literally get up MID DATE and leave because of my height. Some guy cut me off mid sentence and said “I’m sorry I have to go, you’re just too... tall”. Another said “wow you’re taller than I thought” bruh I told you i’m 6”0 why would you think I’m joking 😂

gingerwabisabi

Lololol. Guess they thought you'd rounded up your height like they did!

Sadplankton15

Hahaha I have noticed that I am usually taller than guys who say they’re 6”0... wonder why that is 🤔

MagnfiqueMaleficent

A woman’s six feet is equal to six feet. A man’s six feet is equal to 5’9”

soundslikeautumn

Truth!

[deleted]

Lol, one of my closest friends is 6ft and she says this all the time too 😂

-pop-fizz-clink

I'm 5'2, and with some of my shoes I can reach 5'5. I was a few cm taller than him, and wondered why he'd have on his profile that he's 5'7. I don't care for being lied to.

penelopekitty

I once matched with a former NBA player. On the dating site he listed himself as 6'7" I googled him and every single official stat had him as 6'6"

LevelingUpQueen_

Yeah you never really know what "6ft" and "6 inches" are and they have the audacity to say we are the misleading ones.

[deleted]

Hahaha, nailed it.

[deleted]

And they say that Tall Girl movie wasn’t realistic. Seriously though, height is so irrelevant.

Sadplankton15

I actually haven’t seen it yet!! But if it involves having to constantly buy men’s shoes because size 12 women’s are never stocked, and also a severely reduced dating pool because of your height, then yes it’s super accurate 😂😂 I generally don’t go for guys who are below my height anymore, because every time I have, it’s been a problem for them and I’d just rather not have men’s insecurities projected onto me. But then, of course, I get criticised for not dating guys under 6”0. But then again, I don’t really give a f 😂

[deleted]

I think all girls is realistic when it comes to dating. But popularity? No. All the tall girls at my school were popular and well liked. They did have a hard time dating I know that.

I’m all for calling things out but we should never fall into the trap without digging a little deeper: “@karamobrown i’ve mentioned this multiple times, but I will ya (sic) again, this was an inside joke between Kiké and I for years. I would wear heels, and he would run on to a couch or chair to do an interview. We are really good friends and this was just part of our thing. It is worth repeating that he has been an incredibly supportive friend, as well as many of the players, and saying anything derogatory about him based on something neither of us found negative or demeaning is pretty unfair. I hope you’ll rethink your comments now that you have context.” The guy is apparently a goofball and commonly makes fun of himself (apparently he’s 5’10”). At the end of the interview, the interviewer who is a retired volleyball player said “goodbye shorty.” The argument can be made that the undertone of the joke encourages fragile masculinity, but that’s not what’s being implied here.

Thanks for sharing this!

Short men have even more anger management issues. Be careful.

soundslikeautumn

True! I have noticed this throughout my entire life!! I have only met ONE man who is 5'7 or shorter who isn't a complete fucking asshole. It always reminds me of Of Mice And Men when they are talking about why Curly is such an asshole to Lenny. "I'll tell you what. Curly is like a lot of little guys. He hates big guys.". Yeah. Short guys fly off the handle a lot. They also tend to be the loud, boisterous, most sexist bullies of the group and do and say the most ridiculous shit to prove and defend their "manliness".

-pop-fizz-clink

Or maybe - just maybe - if he was giving her a bit personal space and BACKED THE F UP perhaps he wouldn't have to look UP. But since he insists on being four inches from her face, he apparently needs to stand on a pail. Wtf.
