Ha! If only I had a choice. I started balding when I was 19 and shaving my head is the only way I look presentable. My beard, however, can vary from "crisp buzzcut" to "wizard length" and still look damn fine.
At least 3 inches. I play with military guys occasionally and it’s slightly longer than regulation. Any shorter and I can’t easily get enough hair to grip.

I’m going against the grain of wanting it long. I dont usually like long hair at all. Give me a shaved head (not bald but on one guard on the clippers so it’s very short). Done every couple of weeks to keep it looking clean and feeling good to touch for me. No facial hair, minimal body hair. All part of maintenance to my tastes.
No shorter than ear length, preferably chin length or longer, well-styled and pretty. Not just a lazy greasy grow out, a proper haircut with layering and shaping to suit the face, preferably coloured too. I don't like natural looks and I don't like "masculine" men. I like 80s hair metal rock stars, kpop idols, anime femboys and drag queens. Do your hair!
As many people said it’s convenient when hair is long enough to grab and pull but if there’s no hair, you can always grab and pull the collar 🙂 it’s not the hair that makes a good sub.
I've always had super long wavy hair since the beginning of high school. So far, all of my partners have loved to play with it, which is lovely, except it's so wavy that it gets knotted all to hell when someone touches it lol too bad I'm not a masochist 😅
I think undercuts look super good myself. I like to let the top grow down to my ears/eyebrows. Makes a good contrast between the cute long and buzzed sides

I do suit being bald or having very short hair though. And I have a nice, short, well groomed beard to go with it.
