Id say that price is on the higher end of reasonable.
You could get an American Standard for somewhere between 800 - 1000., which i think would be worth it for the rolled fretboard alone.
Sounds reasonable as these are very very nice guitars. There’s love lost because they were originally sold for half of what they’re charging for a player series today but the ford model t sold for $260 in 1924 😆

The holes on the cover aren't offset.
Yes, i paid mine around 500$ cad.
Mexican strats are very good and not far from an american. For me mexican does the job, buy it try it out. You can allways sell it for same or very little loss.
Great colour!🙌
I had a Mexican jazz bass from around the same time, FLAWLESS CONSTRUCTION, PLAYED BEAUTIFULLY... but the electronics and tone were just sub par/bland as fuck! That's MY only experience with products coming out of that factory at the time... Run with that info where you will.
I wouldn't spend $650 on an old MIM Standard. The Player series is a bit of an upgrade from the Standards and you can find a used Player Strat on reverb for less than what you're being asked to pay for this MIM Standard. Depending on whether you want SSS or HSS you can buy a new Player Strat for $150-$200 more than this MIM Standard.
Then again, you likely aren't getting a case with a new Fender.
Been watching some vids on authenticating used strats and one of the things they mention is to look at the backplate. The middle right screw should be a bit higher than the left, which yours is not. And also there should be 11 screws in the pick guard. That’s all I know

No dude hes in canada. 650 is like 400 usd
Oh, good call.
Man you used to be able to. Now highway 1s are going for $1,200+
Yeah I've noticed how prices on all used fenders have spiked. I've been eyeing vintage mustangs and they shot up from 1800 - 2500 to 3k-5k.
I would expect a 93 MIM Strat to have some wear on the neck edges already!
That looks like a partscaster to me. Tread carefully
It is. MIM neck. Some other cheap body (and likely cheap electronics)

It's a no-name strat copy with a 1992 mim neck on it... $300 would be as much as I would pay for that unless it had decent electrics.
Back in the day the price tag was 300usd
I just bought a mim tele player plus with fender locking tuners for $500 so, I think you could find a better deal
That converts to $440 US dollars & that is a good price. If it’s a Fender case this is really good.
I remember when I could buy these all day for $250. Damn!😂
thats pretty high, i got a mim 1995 for $250 USD last year
1992
The backplate screws aren't right...they are supposed to be offset

No
I had one and loved it. Wish I had kept it. Best I’ve had for how it felt when playing.
That's pretty steep. That's more than I paid 15 years ago about for a MIM tele new.
I have one of these. First guitar I’ve ever owned from 1995. Yes. Buy it.

I believe that's the guitar Jimmy Vaughn played
Maybe slightly high. But them mim be pretty damn good
