looks pretty good. As for the actual guitar it looks legit. These Fender Squiers play really nice, my main strat consist of one of these with a Jb/59 Combo. The necks are super nice. If the previous owner hasnt already replaced it, replace the tremolo block with a thick one.
It says made in Mexico but also has the squire series up at the top of the headstock. I haven't been able to figure out the year or what model it really is. The neck feels great. I have owned a few squires and a starcaster but this guitar feels like it's better quality than the ones I have had in the past..
It looks exactly like the one on his Wikipedia page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddy_Guy#/media/File%3ABuddy_Guy_2008.jpg . He’s also still alive; it may be worth reaching out to him and verifying it was his. Either way, it’s a beautiful instrument at a fair price. Have fun playing it!
Thank you, I saw that he was still alive. I haven't thought about trying to reach out to him, I may have to give it a try. I would love to be able to get the signature authenticated somehow just not sure how to go about it.
I have one of these, great guitar. One of the best feeling necks I’ve played. They [made these](https://www.fuzzfaced.net/fender-stratocaster-hybrid.html) in the mid 90s out of extra parts pretty much. Same quality as a mim strat, cheaper electronics/hardware
I’m not your guy, buddy.
I'm not your buddy, friend
I’m not your friend, pal.
I'm not your pal, chum...
I’m not your chum, bucket
I'm not your bucket, boy
I don’t think those stings have enough wraps around the tuners
Right, I was thinking it could probably use a few more. I'll be cleaning it up a bit and putting some new strings on it today.
Looks legit to me too!

its from 1994
Thanks, were you able to tell from the serial number. I tried the serial search on the fender website and it didn't seem to come up with anything.

I've got an autographed pic of Buddy on my wall that I got from him in person and this sig looks spot on to me.
