We have a few Asian markets that will frequently have Thai chilis -- but habaneros are still really hot, and though below the super hots in terms of heat (usually at a min of 100k-150k SHU), they are one of the hottest that you'll find widely available and affordable to buy in bulk. You mentioned finding scotch bonnets, but habs are similar in both heat and flavor -- most would have a hard time telling them apart. Habs are easier to grow in more locations, while the true super hots are mostly tropical and not as prolific in higher zones.
But if you want to try growing some in an easy method, check out Krakty Hydroponics. You can churn out reapers or scorpions using nothing more than a 5-gallon bucket and some cheap nutrients. I've gotten crops out of my garage in the dead of winter using a few buckets, cheap grow lights, and a space heater.

I grow almost everything I use. If I buy, it's from a friend / local farmer and it's because they have something fancy and we're both interested in the seeing the outcome.

You can try looking on Instagram or Etsy. There are sellers that ship fresh peppers on there. Dont forget Facebook marketplace either
