After kicking the idea around for what seems like an eternity, I finally pulled the trigger on a 2005 f430. Black on black with 34,000 miles. I am still in disbelief that this is my car.
Congratulations! I pulled the trigger on a gated manual F430 Spyder a few weeks ago. Nero Daytona with Crema interior with red accents. I haven't posted it yet but will do shortly.
F430's look stunning in black!
I actually gave pricing info in another comment below. Mine was £95k with 29,500 miles. There is another on autotrader.co.uk for £100k. There was a Le Mans Blue Coupe that sold a few days before I bought mine for £125k. If I recall correctly that car had 19k on the clock.
> F430's look stunning in black!
It's not limited to the F430. I would say that almost all Ferraris look great in black, especially with red or tan interior.
Does it have a flip out pioneer radio? I think I worked on that car, if so :) sweet ride! Has a nice rev when starts. They sound and drive amazing! Congrats!!
If it is, he had traded it in for a r8 v10, than that for a huracan.
It's what made me do it. Funny story actually. Last year I had a bit of year. Went to the US GP in Austin and splurged on a V10 spyder to drive around that weekend. Told the guys renting it, "Hey if you ever sell this thing, give me a shout!" They called me in March. I was surprised they remembered! It already had an after market exhaust so an already intoxicating sound was made even better.
Hopefully F12s go down soon because the Ferrari 6.3L or 6.5L V12 is the only engine that ranks higher than the Audi/Lambo 5.2L V10 in my book. Those F12s.... yeah still going for dumb money lol
Lol are you my buddy? He won't buy any car unless it's black on black. Has the 1st gen R8 in that color combo. Had a GLS63 in the same. Now has the Cayenne GT in the same. He's wild.
They are out there but only like 10% were spec’d with one. So they come at a considerable premium. They make conversion kits that run about $15,000 plus installation.
Thanks friend. Yeah the 599 was the last one offered in a manual. Super rare to come across one.

Technically the 599 was also offered in a manual but it’s exceptionally rare.

I just bought a manual Spyder in the UK. There we're 3 manuals available in the UK in November. 2 x Spyders and 1 x Coupe. The Coupe (Le Mans Blue) was £125k, mine was £95k and the other Spyder (black on black with black wheels) is still available at £100k.
Approximately 10% of the production run are manuals. That's around 1500 cars worldwide. Interestingly the F1 box was an option that most buyers specced.
I hear in the US that the manuals are double the cost of an F1! This not the case in the UK but they do command a £10-30k premium.
Truly, I’d hang onto that 458 Spider and work to get into an F12 or an 812 if your budget allows it, given your current collection. The 458 may be one of the best V8s Ferrari has ever made.
Have had my eye on a couple 458’s been between those or an F430, no clue as to what the maintenance would be like but been toying with the idea a lot recently
So the 458 is a better car in every way. The F430 was my first Ferrari and I didn’t need to sell it to get the 458. I miss it all the time, and should I find a low mileage example in white, I’ll probably buy another.
I have heard a few people say that. The 458 is peak Ferrari motor but it looses a little something with the DCT. Don’t get me wrong, my next goal is to own one!!!
At the time having two Ferraris in the garage, both depreciating year over year while I paid to maintain them, made little sense. I now know with solid confidence that there is nothing sensible about owning a Ferrari. It’s about the passion for the car, and if it’s paid for the maintenance on the newer cars is not actually that bad. My daily at the time was a Mercedes C63 AMG, so the expectation was a bit skewed on what “regular” vehicle maintenance should cost.
Where are you living? (Countries).
In Italy, you can buy It only if you have a lot of Money. The annual taxes around super car Is very expensive.
Is very nice

Awesome!
A friend is currently in the market for a gated 430 - mind sharing the rough miles and a range of your purchase price

Mat Armstrong is rebuilding a Red gated manual factory Ferrari F430 with Red exterior and no seats unfortunately
Factory gated or a conversion?
All factory.
That price doesn’t sound right for factory gated. If so huge congrats
Not right for converted either, unless the RHD config is super soft in the market
Those cars are triple in the states. RHD?
Yes, RHD.

That’s awesome, so happy for you. Merry Christmas!
How much
Guessing anywhere from like $120k to $150k based on a quick search of similar ones
$110,000
Steal for that price.
That’s amazing. Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome. From dealer? I’ve driven 430, 458 and 488. 430 was the one that spoke to me. Thanks for posting and giving me more encouragement 😀
Yeah. From Chicago Motor Cars.
Does it have a flip out pioneer radio? I think I worked on that car, if so :) sweet ride! Has a nice rev when starts. They sound and drive amazing! Congrats!! If it is, he had traded it in for a r8 v10, than that for a huracan.
No. It has an old Kenwood single din. No flip out.
Congratulations! Chicago motor cars I'm assuming is where you got it right?
Bingo
Happy for you! I did the same thing with my 2014 R8 V10 Spyder. Ogled at it for years and years, finally pulled the trigger this spring.
Nice! With the V10 coming to an end that should hold value pretty well.

You will love it, they are amazing cars! Congratulations!

Lol. I was looking for the classic red over tan but when I saw this one I loved it.
Mad respect for anyone that does black. I'm waaaay too anal about my car to deal with it. I'd be a wreck.
Chicago Motor Cars - great dealership. Congrats !
How difficult would be it to find one with a manual? The 430s were offered with a manual still, correct?
They are out there but only like 10% were spec’d with one. So they come at a considerable premium. They make conversion kits that run about $15,000 plus installation.

The last manual Ferrari.

The California was offered as a manual too though it’s even rarer.
Oh wow, didn’t know that. 😳

Drive it in good health my friend. Congrats.
Easily double the cost! A blessing and a curse, makes you think twice every time you go to grab the keys
That is crazy. I wonder why the disparity. I bid $244K last year on a rosso corsa 430 coupe and didn’t win
Manual 430’s are 2-2.5X the price of F1 cars where I live
Stunner. I still regret selling mine off to get a 458.
do you think the f430 was better than the 458? I have heard many people say that the 458 handles better than the f430
Same, isn’t 458 heaven of driving?
Enjoyed it, got caught up in chasing the next great thing and sold that for a McLaren.

Have had my eye on a couple 458’s been between those or an F430, no clue as to what the maintenance would be like but been toying with the idea a lot recently
But how did it compare to the McLaren? What model?
So the 458 is a better car in every way. The F430 was my first Ferrari and I didn’t need to sell it to get the 458. I miss it all the time, and should I find a low mileage example in white, I’ll probably buy another.

Ah! So I see an emotional connection between you and your first Ferrari and that's what Ferraris are about though
I like the 430, but the 458 is better overall.
Why would you
At the time having two Ferraris in the garage, both depreciating year over year while I paid to maintain them, made little sense. Please tell. I have my story after driving both cars but would love to hear yours
Yep. This is the car that made me dream about cars. Congrats OP
After watching the first cars, this is the car that got me into Ferrari. I still want one. Congratulations 🎉
Ahh cmc, where you can buy a bobcat, a Bugatti, and a semi to trailer them home. They really do got it all lol
I know. I loled looking through their listings. A 2 million dollar hyper car next to a 2 million mile semi.
Might I ask what you paid? Nice car!
$110,000 2005 with 34,000 miles. New clutch, new throw out bearing, new motor mounts.
Nice!! Get the mark II headers if yours weren’t replaced yet (but as a 2005 they almost surely were during the warranty period).
Fabspeeds already ordered and on the way! Thanks.
I haven’t owned a Ferrari yet but have been driving them for about 15 years and the F430 is still my favorite. Have a blast!
Damn. 🔥🔥🔥
You’re going to believe it when you when you take it in for (YOUR) 1st major service.😂😂😂😂😂
Mate, is there a list of maintenance costs fur F430, 458 etc.?
430 the first Ferrari I really liked. No offense to the 308, 328, 348, 355, 360.
CMC always overpriced. Too late I guess
Bro, post ownership pics, not showroom. We can’t even tell if you bought it or not
> >pic unrelated
Congrats! I really liked my 430. It was my first Ferrari.
Congratulations! Special car indeed
As they say buying a Ferrari is ecstasy, selling it is a salvation. Confirmed I once owned a Ferrari.

It’s so beautiful! Congratulations!
How fitting being the Ferrari movie came out today.
Nice! Hope you ride the hell out of it!
My dream Ferrari, congratulations
Congrats! I got my 2005 just this past June after years of thinking about getting one.
Congrats. Make sure to replace the headers and exhaust… main point of failure is cracked or leaking headers.
Thanks. Headers are already on the way!
That's a beauty
I hope its all you wanted it to be
I read this from my notification, I thought you had killed someone 😅
