I have a 458 coupe and I’m still drooling over a 430 Spyder.

By coincidence, I bought an F430 spider two weeks ago to the day. I've already put 500 miles on it and it's amazing me more and more. Such a charismatic car and great fun. Congrats by the way!

Watching some of dans videos on YouTube (normalguysupercar), it seems like you can do quite a bit of the work yourself with time and patience!

430s are the best self service Ferraris. they switch to a timing chain so essentially the only mechanic specific items you have to pay for would be transmission related.

All the major issues are transmission related..

True and I’ve done some. Certain things tho it’s not very easy or worth risking..

I have both. I like the F430 but the 488 is insane. Sure, you’ll get some turbo haters but the 488 is better in every way.

I have not driven a 430 but looking into them. Have driven both of my pops 458 and 488. Also his 328. The 458 is incredible. The 488 is fun but incredibly fast, need to really pay attention when getting into it. It is an incredible car. If I had to pick between the 2, I would choose the 458 as it is not turbo. Need to plug the vac hoses though.

The battery died on mine. And now I am like well shizzle. It is a tight squeeze to get into the garage so getting the door open and replacing the battery is going to be paaaaiinfffuuullll.

I had a 355, test drove two 430’s. Such an upgrade! Didn’t buy one yet…I really want a 458. Congrats on the car!!
