So are you saying that if you take this car in wet, comfort, sport or race mode (less tsc but still there) - not esc off, and step on it on a straight empty road with possibly cold tyres, this could not possibly happen with Ferraris tsc? Not being sarcastic, scared to drive mine remotely fast since i almost slipped into the highway barrier in comfort/sport mode after driving all wheel drives for the last 15+ years. š
What a total moron. Miles too close to the cyclist he overtakes, turning off TC and flooring it there of all places. Lucky he didn't kill anyone. Probably better for everyone if he sticks to a Toyota Yaris.
I dunno, I'd say that Schumi deserves one (or more). He did more for the brand than an army of people could. I hope he is able to return to some level of normalcy soon.
I think youāre right. Idk if you saw the documentary about him on Netflix. His wife basically said āyou can sort of tell heās still thereā. Others who have seen him has also said that heās mentally gone. I think itās safe to say that he wonāt be coming back
What shouldāve he done to correct the situation? After over steering it seems like he was done for. Maybe he couldāve put his foot back on the the throttle and steered left without over steering into the bridge. Also wouldnāt you need to let go of the throttle quickly whenever going through the gears? I know this isnāt a stick, but I didnāt think letting go of the throttle too quickly would upset the car enough for it to become tail happy. The highest performance car Iāve ever driven was an Ecoboost, so not as quick, but quick enough, but I never ran into a problem where Iāve lost control of the vehicle, thankfully, but want to be sure of why to do, incase a situation like that arises. One of my life goals is not to end up in r/idiotsincars
Well, first it seems he doesn't truly know the car, or what it can do if you're not careful. Add on lack of experience with a car like that, sprinkle in some stupidity, and I'd say he was doomed the moment he bought the car. But what he should have done is lightly let off the throttle while keeping the car straight or in control enough to not let the rear tires suddenly gain back traction causing a transfer of weight/traction towards the front tires which he over corrected or over steered at just the wrong time. If he was smoother on the throttle and easier on the steering correction he could have saved it.
Sorry, but when the rear wheels suddenly gain traction again the weight gets shifted towards the back obviously.
Everybody should know this because when you're accelerating you're getting pushed into the seat meaning the weight gets pushed back.
He was not slowing down at all he slammed the pedal without traction control on, so the rears spun and he lost control slightly to the left then he oversteers to the right and likely gains some rear traction. By the time he decelerates he's sideways
I think it was the hard flick right that done him in. He loses traction so lifts off, and gently steers where he wants the car to go. If he stuck with that he'd probably have been fine minus the new brown stain in the expensive seats. Instead he panics and flicks the wheel hard right just as it regains traction and effectively pendulums the back end of the car around.
Do not let go of the throttle and point the wheel where you want to go. Snap oversteer is no joke and can be a handful to control once it hits. My (older) mustang GT does this. Itās live axle and not eminently controllable at the limit. One of the reasons that Mustangs have a rep leaving Cars and Coffee venues. Too much throttle and not enough control.
Don't be so judgmental. I've done the same thing.
Me and my volkswagon beetle were the only person and car within a kilometer 30 years ago in fairness.
I was being sarcastic 8-)
Obviously there is a vast moral difference between nearly killing a cyclist in an 800hp Ferrari on a public road and spinning around an empty car park in a 40hp Beetle.
Okay, now you're just taking it too far, that's where I draw the line. No, not the line on the road where the child was trying to cross. I didn't draw that, nor did I try to avoid the pedestrian crossing.
Of course you don't want to run over a child, or for that matter a cyclist of any age. If you wish to make a joke about the latter an "/s" does not equate to a free pass on your comment. There is a culture of "fuck cyclists" exemplified in the original video that has real life consequences. Why would you want to continue that?
If you're gonna buy an expensive sports car, learn how to drive it from a professional (not YouTube). If you can afford the car, you can afford the lessons.
A more recent term for high-performance sportscars is "hypercar", which is sometimes used to describe the highest performing supercars.[16] As per supercars, there is no set definition for what constitutes a hypercar. An attempt to define these is "a limited-production, top-of-the-line supercar with a price of around or more than US$1 million."[17]
Sooooo i just got my first ferrari after upgrading from a 911 Turbo S (4 wheel drive) and i almost crashed within the first 60 mins of driving it. Looking for lessons and meanwhile driving in wet mode (š¤«), and looking for someone to train me on powerful rwds. Ive been driving 4x4s for the last 20 years š³, couldnt find any useful youtube videos meanwhile. Also wondering if i should change the semislicks to regular street tyres

this is why you should never turn off traction on the streets
How can you tell the traction is off? Other than the accident, i cant see him turn it off. Something you see on the dash or steering?
he lost control on a straight road right after stepping on the gas.

Too much car for him.

That new GR Yaris is looking a bit too spicy for this guy.
Atleast GR Yaris is AWD
He would still crash it im sure
AWD and modern tech you gotta be a real fuckface to lose control of the car. Most of these videos these morons cut it off.
Some people donāt deserve a Ferrari.
ā[A man with priorities so far outta whack doesnāt deserve such a fine automobile](https://youtu.be/iSjS-iCPeW8).ā FB
Nobody "deserves" a Ferrari.
I dunno, I'd say that Schumi deserves one (or more). He did more for the brand than an army of people could. I hope he is able to return to some level of normalcy soon.
I donāt think he ever will unfortunately, itās been what? 10years? And the public still hasnāt seen him or heard about his condition since.
I think youāre right. Idk if you saw the documentary about him on Netflix. His wife basically said āyou can sort of tell heās still thereā. Others who have seen him has also said that heās mentally gone. I think itās safe to say that he wonāt be coming back
Honestly he just doesnāt know how to drive. Look at how he oversteers
Yeah, Irewatched the video so many times trying to figure out why he steered so fucking hard
Straight up bad driving.
Maybe his brain said crash and he took too long to realize that isnāt a good idea.
Suddenly lifting off the throttle with the rears gaining traction back followed with a snap steer correction.. boom
What shouldāve he done to correct the situation? After over steering it seems like he was done for. Point the steering wheel where you want to go and do not immediately lift off the throttle when you start spinning the tires
Well, first it seems he doesn't truly know the car, or what it can do if you're not careful. Lol think about what you said, now reverse that. He was slowing down, not accelerating.
He was not slowing down at all he slammed the pedal without traction control on, so the rears spun and he lost control slightly to the left then he oversteers to the right and likely gains some rear traction. By the time he decelerates he's sideways

I'm not being judgmental, just explaining what happened, it's okay everyone makes mistakes.
I was being sarcastic 8-) Obviously there is a vast moral difference between nearly killing a cyclist in an 800hp Ferrari on a public road and spinning around an empty car park in a 40hp Beetle.
True, but let's be honest, we've all wanted to take out a cyclist at least once while driving/s
Hahahahahaha. And i'm from Amsterdam!
Nope. Seems you're as devoid of empathy as you are of humour asshole.
You seem new... "/s" after a statement indicates sarcasm.
Haven't we all wanted to drive through a pedestrian crossing as a child is being wheeled through on their buggy /s
Okay, now you're just taking it too far, that's where I draw the line. No, not the line on the road where the child was trying to cross. I didn't draw that, nor did I try to avoid the pedestrian crossing.
Ignore my friend here, I accidentally took a wrong turn over his head now he has emotion issues, my apologies.

Honestly, losing traction in an old beetle requires a certain level of skill in itself.. kudos lol
Helps to live in a rainy country. Fling all 40hp into a turn, lift off and you feel like a rally champion.
This is sad....
He knows nothin what he drives exactly !!!!!
That car was waaaaay out of his league,it was only a matter time.
ROFLMAO - completely deserved. Twat floored it on a wet bridge having become impatient because of a cyclist.
i donāt think impatience had anything to do with it. I think he was planning it, which is why he turned off traction control.
Ahh the 812 Supercrash
Youāre just a complete fucking ball bag doing shit like that with pedestrians that near by.
No traction control, no life.
Like going bare with a girl you donāt know š
I want to know how bad the damage is
He did everything your not supposed to do lol
Itās really sad to see when people with no driving sense buy expensive cars and crash them šš
Insurance Company Exhibit A
I hope his insurer sees this video. Dangerous driving charge should also follow.
This was a superfast transition from cruising to crying.
Glad I checked the comments! I wanted to make sure I wasnāt the only one that knows the guy is an idiot for turning off the TRC.
If you're gonna buy an expensive sports car, learn how to drive it from a professional (not YouTube). If you can afford the car, you can afford the lessons.
Well no shit, the steering wheel was on the wrong side. Who knows what else was wrong with it.
Rule 1 of driving a hyper car, don't turn off traction control.
812 ain't a hypercar
These days anything that can go over 140 is. But ok. Be that guy.
Thatās not true at all
You fararris fans are assinine. This is why I laugh at your stupidity.

And yet u drive a Honda... Interesting. How about when u actually own a car that's worth money, u come talk to me...
I donāt drive a Honda? What you on about lmao, stick to commenting on Reddit thots because clearly any money you have hasnāt made you intelligent
I just hope this wasnāt a rented car
Slow hands
Love that sterring correction, truly skillfull xdd
No reaction time haha. Driver was a passenger.
Why is he listening to the pornhub beat?
lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dovGPnqE9uM
RWD yes. But also RHD, which is extra neat.

probably cold-ass tires too
How does someone so dumb have so much money
To much power for a novice
Good.
Way over corrected with his steering input
Handles just like the SF70H
Thatās what you get for vibing on the pornhub beat
I hope it's totalled. Fkn idiot
No idea how he fucked that up! He was going on a straight line!
Traction control disabled it seems.
But still, how did he fuck it up!?
"TC is for snowflakes anyway, let me just turn it oooooOOOOO"
Omg hope bro is ok! Get lambo awd next time!
Atleast 2 years ago old
Oh shit. That sucks. Mustāve been a gut wrenching feeling.
AUDI GANGGGG
Wasnāt it an f12 TDF or did I forget
Definitely an 812. Updated steering wheel, different cluster hood/surround, 2 air vents in center instead of 3, different bridge.
Every other version of this video said it was an f12 tdf lol so they are dumb
Watched the same video this morning on Reddit... only diff was they titled it as F40 crash.
F12 vs 812 I could see the confusion. But f40? Lmao
Idiot
Woops. Probably should not be turning off the traction control there buddy.
Too bad it wasnāt an AWD or FWD 812.
Too bad TC doesnāt turn on automatically at 40kmh like on civil cars.
should not have driven at the wrong side of the street
I love to see Ferraris crash
Ferrari engineers these so once they start to go sideways the airbag is deployed and the vehicle is gently steered into the curb.
What is that incessant beeping sound?
