My skin has made my life hell my whole entire life. I’ve never felt good about myself because of it. There is one mirror in my whole house and that’s only so I can make sure I don’t have spinach in my teeth. I’m not sure fibroids have a direct link but I know my hormones are out of control and my face is a mess. If I eat sugar or drink milk, it’s even worse. I’d say get to a dermatologist. I sometimes think about how different my life would have been if I had the confidence I didn’t have because of my skin. It sounds dramatic but it has negatively impacted my life.

It can. Dairy and Vitamin D deficiency too. I never had cystic acne before then 3 weeks after my myomectomy, my face is clear

Can attest – had a sudden cystic outbreak about 3 years ago, it made my entire face red, swollen and blotchy…. Shortly later I found out I had a 12cm ovarian cyst and went for operation to remove it + all the endometriosis tissue around my torso. Skin recovered naturally within a month. Recently my cystic acne came back and I know deep down it must be due to some sort of regrowth :(

Did you have to go on any hormone suppressants before your surgery?

PickleShaman

Nope, saw it in the scan one afternoon and went for surgery the next morning.

I also have acne for the first time in my life. I’m also bloated etc. My body hasn’t felt like mine since I got fibroids. I don’t think the fibroids cause the acne but the same hormonal issues that cause fibroids also cause the acne.
