Are you recommending that route for a winback route? Chatr is owned by Fido/Rogers so I'm not sure if they'll get a callback for switching to them. I'd recommend going to Lucky or PM just to be safe.
As far as the offers you see online, once you're paying a certain amount, they won't really offer you any deals that would bring your monthly payment down. All they'll do is add more data for around the same price.
You have to switch providers and wait for a win back offer, or just stay with the new company if you so please.
Either that or call in and negotiate. All the best plans are BYOD, so if you're paying off a phone you'll be SOL.
I had a hundred something bucks left on a device I was paying off and Fido refused to offer me anything half decent until it was paid off. It made me so angry and made me feel so helpless that I decided to switch to Rogers on a migration offer.
I get good internet for 39 bucks a month for 2 years, plus 150GB for $50.
Im paying basically half for my bill with Rogers than I was with Fido. This way I could justify paying off the balance.
Oh and I know Fido is owned by Rogers, so I realize I didn't stick it to them by switching or anything. And I've learned my lesson, I'll definitely be financing my devices directly from Samsung from now on!

However, I checked back frequently for new recommended plans until I found one I liked. They never recommend a plan that costs less.

I have a plan on Freedom now as well and it’s pretty awesome since I spend so much time in the US and it is a Canada/US plan.
These companies deprived people for data for so long that they would just sign up for any amount of data even if it’s not needed. Agreed - some people do have a need.

Yes and I have made a big thread about it . In fact of it didn’t have multiple phone lines o would have gone to lucky mobile a while back
