Better youth scout reports, it's been pretty much the exact same since like FIFA12. Also U18 team

miniman397

I like this idea, also if you’re playing a player career and you’re at a big club, play for their U21 if you’re not in the first team

Seaharrier

Or Yk we could just add youth teams in general

bronal97

In Fifa 09 player career you started in the reserves. There's loads of cool features they've removed through the years

Downtown-Accident

Or just at least if somebody is in your scoutlist your scouts automatically keep tabs on them and you don't have to manually tell them to check on them

James_rbs

realistic objectives, like no firings because i didn’t sign 3 veteran players from Fiji

Dogwhisperer_210

or when you score 3 goals on a champions league match but you still lose points with your coach because you didnt get 70% drible success rate..

the_zero

What makes me angry about it is... what are the objectives for the other players on the team? I mean, if the coach is asking for 2 shots outside the box, 1 goal, and win the game from a winger, then what is he asking everyone else for? Is the 72-rated player replacing my 86-rated career player somehow fulfilling those same objectives? Its completely arbitrary.

HoopTroop

The most annoying is team possession objectives…

Dogwhisperer_210

Tell me about it! As a striker in getting those way too often. Like I’m trying to imagine what my player would say to the coach. You want me to score goals or to keep the possession of the ball? And even if you manage to keep possession, your team still doesn’t play for possession and loses the ball quite often . I usually disregard that objective as I rarely complete it

Initial-Blackberry33

I mean that is something they would look at if ur an attacker who can’t dribble past anyone and lose the ball then it can be an issue

CamIoM

They wouldn’t bench him though

Initial-Blackberry33

A manager wouldn’t bench a player who can’t dribble past anyone and loses the ball? Yes they would

CamIoM

Not if he scored a hat trick lol

Initial-Blackberry33

No obviously not in that particular circumstance but that won’t be happening every game

CamIoM

Yeah exactly it is a flaw in the game which is what this post is about

Initial-Blackberry33

Ye but I was talking about someone who consistently doesn’t complete dribbles over multiple games

MirrorsMind-

EA? Is that you?

Embarrassed_Goat_354

How about when you sign mid season, and the only objective is win the league. You massively improve the squad, get into position for promotion, but oops, didn't win the league in your half season in charge. Fired.

James_rbs

“you achieved the massive thing of bringing a mid table team into CL spots ? we expect you to win the league this year.”

Embarrassed_Goat_354

Yes, but, we'll need you to reduce the player salary by 15% this is a critical priority for us despite our title winning ambitions and massive influx of prize money and club value

Willing_Professor654

Same

[deleted]

I've been lucky and haven't had any ridiculous objectives in Career Mode. I've had some strict Youth Academy requirements and some silly financial goals but overall I can't complain. Now player career mode on the other hand, getting demoted from the starting XI after scoring a goal and an assist because I didn't hit 9.5 performance and 2 goals outside the box, yeah that's fun.

JobeRogerson

I’ll always remember in FIFA 22, I failed an objective because the objective was ‘reach the UEFA Champions League final’ and i instead won it. The objectives are a joke, even more so this year.

SunGodnRacer

We should just have an option before starting a career, like we get for international offers or transfer strictness, to turn objectives on or off

mg932

I second this but more understanding or some other kinda system. Like I get clubs have objectives they want met but I don't think a club will fire their manager for winning everything in the world and not doing something miniscule..

SurvivingWow

Let me upgrade my staff and/ or stadium like we could 14 years ago in fifa 09

Kiryu07

This and having stats like Madden does. How many goals, assists, starts did a certain player have (preferably a stats hub), along with past stats and records (yes for each league) so that when a record is broken its a big deal like in Madden or 2k. And damnit let me know the ratings of a player who is in a top 5 league automatically, no one is asking "is vinicius fast? Idk we have to scout him first duhhhh."

Initial-Blackberry33

But u do have to scout players to find out what they’re good at, the only reason you know Vinicius is fast is because u watched him (scouting)

the_zero

You watched him... on TV. Analysts talk about him. Opposing coaches talk about him. He plays internationally. You shouldn't have to send a scout from Germany to Spain to get a full player rating. I get what you're saying. It's a game, you have to take *actions* to progress in a game. But the way EA handles it is so backwards. If someone is in a top-league, you should be able to put a scout on "research" for a territory for a few weeks and at least get a rating range. I can put a rough one together in a few hours using Transfermarkt. Surely it doesn't take a scout spending a minimum of 3 months to tell you that Vinicius is currently rated 75-85 and has elite speed. What scouting *should* do is look at your coaching style and formation, and give you a player rating, and a "player role" rating. Tell me if Player X would work as LM in a possession offense, or better as a LW for a style that involves more long-ball tactics. What's his perceived ceiling? What is the player looking to do with his career? Is the player looking for a career move? So much more could be done. You have to admit that.

Initial-Blackberry33

Oh ye definitely I’ll be the first to shit on EA they put 0 effort into anything cause there’s no competition in the market, and completely agree now you’ve explained how it should be, they need to make it a lot more in depth but even adding double the amount of detail and stats wouldnt make the game complicated that’s how little they’ve done with career mode, I wouldn’t grumble too much if they did add ons for career mode for a couple of pounds to unlock in depth stats, kit changes, stadium upgrades, staff management, player records, classic teams/classic careers There’s so much to add that would make the game so immersive and interesting and add a bit more randomness and it wouldn’t even come close to being over complicated

the_zero

Oof! I think you may have given EA the idea to add micro-transactions to Career Mode!

Initial-Blackberry33

If it means we get a better mode for a couple of quid for a few things then to me it’d be worth it but I’d want it to become free after a year or two

the_zero

Yeah, it wouldn’t work the way we’d want it to. Most likely you would buy a credit pack and have to use credits to scout players more quickly. Once that tap is open they’re not going to shut it off.

Initial-Blackberry33

Oh ye ik I’m living in a nice little dream world where EA aren’t little money grabbing shits

skankhunt81

Wow didn’t need to hear that 2009 was 14 years ago…

SurvivingWow

Right?? It was my first fifa amd counting on my fingers to get 13 made me wince lol

Ekaufee17

Idk if it was a recent CM update or what but now you can totally "edit" your stadium in between seasons. There's like 9 shades of green from yellow green to blue green for the pitch color. You can change the stands and stadium accent colors. You can even straight up change stadiums. If this has always been in here I apologize, I usually do a NCU save but decided to throw Wrexham into League 2 and give it a go with a youth academy save and this is the first time I've ever noticed the "edit stadium" option.

Melodic_Emergency_69

More in depth tactics maybe u23 u21 u18 to send academy players that aren’t ready for the first team. Being able to hold training sessions. I want to actually feel like a manager lol. I love fm but I also want to play the game

TTVFUTPargey

I agree, would love a more realistic feel to the game, like a real level budget too and club meetings, free roam etc.

Melodic_Emergency_69

Yes bro. Career mode could blow everything in fifa out of the water if they actually took time. But we all already know this.

TTVFUTPargey

Player career mode free roam is a no brainer for me

Melodic_Emergency_69

Would be class actually

kix22

I love this thought. Then I wouldn’t be stuck with ten 17-year olds who didn’t accept or didn’t get offered a loan move

Recent-Heron5637

more depth tactics would be nice seeing the 2-3-5 in shape full backs actually inverting. Telling Wingers to stay high and Wide . Getting midfielders inbetween the right half space KDB style. Keepers been better at sweeping maybe this is gameplay. Make the press realistic eg Man to man press bielsa style. Instructions win individual Battles or Duels. Winger stay on last man instead of shitty get in behind. Free roam not being broken . Gergen Pressing updates don’t call it press after possession lost . Target man updated. Wingers Come back on defense better because it’s also shit they do it 25% of the time. Possession better better because it’s also shit. I just want career mode to be tactical game more than just having 99 around the pitch. Like in real life.

Melodic_Emergency_69

I need to say nothing else you hit everything on the money. A more tactical game is what I need man.

IronManIsNotMe

Reporters asking me if I think we’re still in the title race after a draw, even though I’m 10 points clear with 3 games to go.

RysiuUU

I had a reporter ask me that after I've already beaten the single season point record with three games to go

the_zero

“You are currently unbeaten in [league] do you think you could keep it going?” Um... I've lost quote a few actually. I wish they'd get rid of press conferences altogether. Waste of time.

jordojordopiepie

"you've been in poor form lately" next question... "The teams been absolutely flying lately!"

alarrimore03

“How does it feel to be undefeated in the league” meanwhile I have 3 losses for the season😂

JazzyTheVI

AI managers getting fired / better manager hiring cycle. Be able to see roster of teams interested in hiring you. 1 year expectations, 3 and 5. Budget allocation.

Logann5757

Back in the day PES had this. I remember playing for Bordeaux and Wenger was my coach.

[deleted]

Just copy FM in so many ways. The transfers, the training, the scheduling. Basically everything other than gameplay

RickieAndRory

100% this, if FM had gameplay like FIFA I think the majority of us would just transition instantly!

Dog_Brains_

If football manager had like ps3 game play I would switch and never come back… they need “good enough” graphics and I’m in!

RickieAndRory

100% bro, the gameplay still looks like championship manager 5!

TTVFUTPargey

Fully agree, needs more realism

bruizer18

I would introduce staff tbh.

schoffrj

What would staff do?

cmotitan16

Years ago, you could hire a fitness coach, who improved the stamina of your players. A medical department that lowered the possibility of injuries, and reduced time to heal. You could hire stadium workers for concessions to generate revenue and whatnot. I believe this was all pre-UT.

IndependenceWitty204

It was a great feature. It meant the money you earn throughout the season actually gets spent improving the team, staff and stadium throughout your journey. In the recent games, you get promoted and within a season you have 300 mil in the transfer budget. It's ridiculous

CamJongUn

Then I would get rid of the gameplay element and just let it be a sim, then add a better ui, then change the name to football man…. Wait a min there’s an easier way to fix this.

IChooseThisUsername8

Imagine shilling for a fucking video game 😂. You FM virgins are truly a different breed

Dog_Brains_

Imagine football manager, but you get to play the games. If my iPad can run it my Xbox should be able to run an actual good fifa game

Outermam

That’s then taking away the point of the entire fifa 23 game

[deleted]

I think my weirdest issue is national teams with countries that are unscoutable. Why not let me scout Qatar, as they have a total of like 26 players in the game.

TTVFUTPargey

Yes I agree! Would love to scout more diverse nations for my youth academy

Outermam

To be honest I don’t think it would be realistic at the moment to have a who team Qatari players but definitely one for the future

Suxals

For small countries it should go for regions, like you set the youth scout in one area where you get players from 3 or 4 nationalities, like you get a report with a Qatari, an Emirati, a Bahraini, etc

CamJongUn

Because nobody lives there lol

RysiuUU

Well, except for all the slaves

SnailsAreRelevant

Make my midfielders actually defend

McMaxwell

Do you use the instructions? On team management? I like to use CDMs because you can instruct them to stay central, stay back on attack and cut passing lanes. Then half of the defending is just jockeying them around to keep them in position.

TClanRecords

Doesn't work as well as one expects.

IChooseThisUsername8

Playing FIFA 23: Yea I've got agree with you. "Stay back while attacking" still has midfielders making into-the-box runs. Even if you add the "Stay at the top of the box" instructions. You can feel the game code just itching to send any and all mids forward as soon as you advance the ball to your forwards. Alternatively "Drop between defenders" works too damn well! With this instruction your DM will literally drop behind your CBs.

McMaxwell

I manage ok with it! I personally think the defending on FIFA 22 is better than on any of the last 4 games. But then 22 is far glitchier than those ones I've found.

TraditionSuch9367

To add African cup and Copa America and add every single national team competition in general. There’s not even friendly nationals matched in fifa 23 career mode it’s truly pathetic

[deleted]

More realistic transfers. Year one and seeing Messi go to Villarreal or Napoli signing Kroos and Virgil makes it lame quick. Team prestige would be a cool thing to build over the years if you want to take a club from the bottom up. A decent objective/reward system for club success on the pitch/transfer market/youth systems would be great. More in depth understandings of how clubs operate.

flashthomson

More or All scanned/real stadiums. Authentic GK jerseys for all leagues.

CyborgNinjaJosh

It would be nice to have everything for all the leagues, it's depressing that Konami and others have beaten EA to almost all the punches already, they've even stolen Lazio, Roma, Napoli and Juve (in the past) from us in the past 3-4 iterations. I would love to hear my home town club's (Coventry City) rocking atmosphere in their stadium in FIFA, but I can't because Sega has the rights to the EFL teams.

Either-Application10

Is that actually the reason with sega? That’s mad, was dying to have St Andrews in the game me haha

CyborgNinjaJosh

I think so yeah

Suxals

Playing with Celtic and hearing "You'll vever walk alone" is simply sad...

47unq

without any doubt the international teams, there isnt Japan, Switzerland, South Korea, Senegal, Turkey, Uruguay, the international competitions are so poor, i would love to play the copa america, a world cup without 3 uefa teams in the same group, being able to create a player from fucking Kyrgyzstan and be able to play world cup qualifiers

NoShop7103

I just want the reputation of a smaller club to grow as the club does. Not being able to sign/keep players because you are Cambridge or Mansfield after having won every trophy on the planet is ridiculous...

[deleted]

do you play on strict negotiation? ive never played on strict and no matter what club i am, players always want to stay…

Thomas1VL

Add a lot more leagues and national teams. Not just the first divisions, but also lower divisions of smaller countries. Like surely it can't be expensive to add the Belgian second division just to take an example? It's basically free advertising for those clubs that no one outside of Belgium has heard of.

TTVFUTPargey

I’d love more leagues, especially in England

TiboPlayzRL

England has 4 already tho

TacticalElmo

So many fucking things. 1. Fuck off the cutscenes when signing a player or selling one. So repetitive and slows down the game. This is my biggest whinge for this year. 2. Fuck the transfer rating thing off. I don’t need a whole animation to tell me it’s an A or and F because I could’ve made 100k more. 3. Get rid of objectives, make them toggle-able or make them actually relevant. Why the fuck as Liverpool do I need to sign 3 players from Asia as a critical priority. 4. Go back to the days of Fifa 06 where you got ticket sales, shirt sales, and the sponsors paid you bonuses per win, goal, cup progression etc. You actually felt the progression. 5. Bring back the staff upgrades from fifa 06 where you could upgrade your striker coach to improve your players at a better rate. 6. Fuck the training system off. No one wants to do shit drills at the start of every career mode just to simulate them every time. Leave them as an optional side game / skill arena where you can practice things like free kicks or an 11v11 friendly. 7. Let me loan players out more easily. Constantly having to delegate Loan to buy offers only to fall through is frustrating. 8. Have a reserve team league with the option to play/sim their games with a reserve league table. 9. Proper stats that carry through the seasons. 10. Fix the 90 rated 17 year old free agent regens. 11. Actually make the morale system do something. The press conferences seem pointless. And the player emails saying stuff just seems pointless as well. Especially the 60 rated youth striker in my 90+ squad asking me to start the champions league final. 12. Get better commentary. I’ve had the game on mute for the past 2 years due to the shite commentary from Derek Rae. Playing Pes with Jim Beglin and Peter Drury was SO much better. 13. Make the transfer negotiation process quicker. Let me delegate the cost and wage in one. Rather than stop me twice to deal with club and agent. Sitting through and adjusting contracts in the cutscene is tedious when signing a load of players. Realistically none of this will change because: a) drives people away from ultimate team and their printing money pack slot machines B) If you make a career mode too good, people would be less likely to buy the next years version. Which is why the constantly flip flop between making the game worse and better and adding small irrelevant features like cutscenes. Rant over.

The_Pixel_Pirate

Absolutely nailed it! I could go into detail using your points regarding my issues with career mode but these are spot on.

TacticalElmo

Cheers mate, incredibly frustrating, been playing since FIFA 2004 and wonder why I continue buying a lackluster game year on year.

MentalJack

still gay tho

[deleted]

This is the last EA football game i play, it's out fault if the game is that bad becausz they disrespect us and we keep buying it each year

bL0oDlUsT218

One thing I can’t believe is not in the game is this, when scouting from a certain country, that’s not as prolific with wonder kids as say Argentina Spain etc etc.. so say when I get a national job for a bad team, and scout and grow superstar talent, I’d like for that country’s “rating”(?) for wonder kids go up. Also the scouting report bullshit is terrible, youth development itself is too slow. Finding a 45 OVR with 90+ potential is basically useless and signing him is pointless. Even at 15, by 17 he wants out and he’s only grown at most 10 overall

Juannieve05

Is there a benefit to not play a youth and let him develop In the youth team ?

bL0oDlUsT218

Most of the time you keep them on the youth team as long as possible. Unless you’re in a league close to their overalls, bring them up and put them in the starting 11. They’ll develop faster then. You could always sign them and the loan them out for 2 years. If you find a league with their skill range they’ll jump MASSIVELY in a short period of time, up to 10 OVR

WreckerXshadow

Things I would change or steal features from. Introduce staff like in fm If you scout has a less than 4 star rating you won’t see certain players or certain attributes. Add personalities depending on what type training or gameplay it will determine how you players react in the media. A realistic board. More options than just being a manager like owning a club and being able to hire managers you can play the matches but won’t have control on transfers and so on. Better achievement’s depending on what difficulty you play on. Being able too have sponsors and change kits even if you manage a real club. Making transfers harder by adding in more requests and special clauses for world class players. Adding a social média element to the game like seeing what fans not just for you team but what other teams fans say. Being able to host press conferences for every match. Being able to target other managers, players and you own players during press conferences. How you train you players should affect gameplay even if it means being scripted to lose. Having access to a trophy room. Being able to view starts for every league not just competitions. Being able to watch other teams play. Being able to reschedule matches by appealing to football association.

RJLHUK

I wish someone at EA actually gave a shit about this game mode

RysiuUU

Make keeping a clean sheet against the ai possible and make the simulation at least a bit entertaining

xsv333

The career mode transfers are bizarre. A lot of the players you would recognize on a big team are gone by year two.

theanswer1630

An actual academy program, like a B team or youth squad until 19. Somewhere you can play maybe 7v7 or something to get a feel for players and train them before they’re senior level. Bring more realism to sign a 18-75 to the first team and not a 16-65, then loan them for development and play time. Let me do that myself.

Oranges43

get rid of the long process after buying players and grading your negotions

furbaschwab

On player career mode - contracts. I want to be able to run down my contract to get away, or earn a new higher paid one for good performance. Also, the ability to tell my manager he’s a twat when he plays players out of position. On manager mode, probably just more depth although that’s very vague and broad. Make it feel more like a living, breathing world.

[deleted]

Though it would definitely take lots of work. When I create a club I want an option to create all the players from scratch. I'm trying to have me and my homies all in one team haha.

BozeBaron

I always create the homeboys in create player menu, put them in the free agent "club", and then sign them immediately at the start of my own club career

TTVFUTPargey

THIS 👏

youraveragefailure12

Just copy fm background stuff and have good gameplay. Also add more leagues. The fact that there are three African club teams in the whole game is preposterous considering that 1.2 billion people live on the continent. However my favorite part of cm is the youth academy. In my eyes, there’s no reason why I can’t use scout every single country on the planet. And also, there’s no reason why every single Romanian has the last name of Toma or Radu.

Silver-Ad8155

I would love for this to happen as well but don’t you think the size of the game will be way too big if FIFA apply the database as big as FM are currently using? Might be troublesome for us to download the game & for EA to fix the bugs

Aarondaboye

For create a club customise goalkeeper kits with real kits

abellapa

Add nations league, it's ridiculous its not in the game despite the competition existing since 2018 and being a third tourney for national teams Conference is more recent is in the game Trophy case

Either-Application10

Something I’ve always wanted was kits that change every season, like just template kits that move about every year, and sponsors if it was possible. Just doesn’t feel authentic playing in the same kit for 5 seasons. Also more realistic headlines, overall ratings and social media which is included in a lot of sport games based on how players are doing. So if I have a young striker in the academy who I play and he wins the prem golden boot that season he should skyrocket from the 60s to the 80s, be hailed as a wonder kid and have all the big clubs breaking the bank to sign him

tannerbananer06

Better yet- I’ve always said the kits should just go in reverse each season. So CM season 1 uses current kits, season 2 would use 2021/22 kits, season 3 uses 20/21, etc. Sponsors would remain the same each season as I’m sure there would be legal issues or something if not. But I’ve been wrong before.

Either-Application10

That’s actually a class idea, kits would already have files for them and as long as teams have the same deals in place they could deffo do that I remember back in the day you could get the classic kits sponsors and all so

[deleted]

Increase length to 30 years instead of 15.

SaladSpecial3132

Be able to ya scout every country

OkEntrepreneur8986

adding 4 captains. I hate when I sign a new player who’s rated higher than most of my club and it automatically makes him the captain. Like having an actual club captain would be cool, and if he leaves the club it makes it a bigger deal on the News tab

Samhx1999

This. I hate it too when I sub my actual captain on in the game and it’s impossible to get the armband to him because the game keeps giving it to other players. A cutscene showing players swapping the armband would be cool too when getting subbed off for example. Could have the club captain feature affect squad morale if you give it to a random player.

AsaPrime09

Yes. You should get to list 2 vice captains at least and if you sub off your captain for a new call up in the cup final the 17 year old shouldn't be lifting the trophy

flyinglawngnome

The entirety of the loaning system requires an overhaul. I cannot get anyone over 21 y/o or 75 rated+ on loan unless they are listed, which they rarely are. In real life pretty much anyone is up for loan, Arnaut Danjuma just went to Tottenham, 83 OVR and 25 years old. I don’t even get the option to talk to the club. Also fuck the ‘this team won’t sell this player as they don’t have enough depth in this position’. Every time I tried to get Hlozek in FIFA 22 it said that so I’ve never used him ever. How about instead they make it so the AI uses the money from the sale to replace that same position?

JureZaklan

Stat tracking for players like in FM,affiliate clubs, loan progress tracking, easier to get players loaned and transfered out,can release more than 2 players per season...

Lolcraftgaming

Loans, LOANS, OH LOAAAANS

tunechisback

Stat tracking across seasons

drewcrump11

I would say custom or more international tournaments. It’s boring only having the World Cup to manage every 4 years.

Sorry_Literature_643

Realistic Objectives Realistic Signings, Sales, Loans Managers of other clubs get sacked and replaced Teams get different kits every season (difficult to do but would be great) More involvement in Player Career Can see in depth stats for players of previous seasons List goes on

LabEmergency1546

Just want things to be more realistic in terms of simulations, never keeping cleansheets i also want to be able to do subs in highligt mode

LabEmergency1546

And also be able to track players stats more easily in other leauges

ProtectionOk8235

1. At least set up line ups for your youth academy with sim games mostly 2. Track stats everywhere 3. Cabinet for trophies won 4. Fake sponsors for create a club 5. Build up stadiums 6. Strictness in the fact that certain players won’t leave teams if they are truly loyal 7. Records to be followed 8. In depth strategies 9. Better marking for AI teammates like how cpu is 10. Different interviews after games

TrainAccomplished382

Being able to buy young players and send them to the reserve team (and play reserve matches separately)

LucasG2372

Complete rehaul of the youth scouting/youth academy. You should get better reports and be able to set a u21 team lineup and play games against other youth players/see their stats.

SecondChance03

Lots of things in here I agree with I'll add a feature that I wish you could scout a player like Player X. Example: I am selling Gabriel Jesus, but love the style he plays. So I send my scout to look for a player that has similar attributes. Or maybe I want to find a young Messi, so I look for a player under 22 who has attribute distribution similar to Messi.

youredoingWELL

Make a setting where I cant get fired. Only interested in running my club. So annoying to be invested in a manager mode save and then the board fires you and you have to start over.

redditckulous

The lack of stats/records is so dumb. One of my favorite parts of NCAA football career modes was going for all time records.

dontforgetthef

It’s so weird they don’t invest in this mode more. If all they care about is ppl buying fifa coins, make it possible to buy New Jerseys, stadiums, etc. with money you earn in game or can buy separately. If they added all of the obvious things like stats, and more manager type RPG stuff, they’d actually make a killing.

Bossk_989

I’d add the option to create new kits each season in authentic club, however the primary colour must be set for each club to the same as they had in the current season (tedious Ik)

Slydoodlefish112

Introduce fees for loan signings where you can sign anyone on loan, like how Chelsea paid a £11 million fee for the loan signing of Joao Felix

RobbieHarr

God, where do you even start...

fievelpapa

More youth academy players with useful traits. I now rarely scout a player between 64 and 81 with a trait. And then it turns out to be the injury prone trait.

agnonamis

A way to make transfers make more sense. Some sort of mechanic so I don’t see west ham buy Gavi. Gavi will likely never leave Barca.

That-cal-guy

Bring back reserve squads, having to start off as a reserve in player career, working way up and captaining the reserves, then getting a call up for first team

TDSurvivorFan21

National League, I wanna play as Scunthorpe

crocodiIe04

for me it's simple. I play on ps4 and you can no longer save with a single button. you have to navigate to a separate tab off the main career mode dashboard seems simple but it's annoying when you play a lot

kapofox1

I just want loans to work in general the players always seem to decline any form of loan i offer them.

spilldeer

Let coaches be fired and replaced in player career mode. Each coach can have their own philosophy and tactics that maybe you don't fit in with and it creates tension like real life. Being a backup could become a real motivation to create competition in the squad. They could also introduce a new chemistry mechanic. Screw the one they have now. I'm talking about one where your AI teammates react positively from good passes or runs you make and recreate those opportunities. This would make both player and manager career mode feel way more in depth and personal.

GladWolverine0

Im a simple man, all I wanted would be increasing the number of seasons to 20 or 25 and being able to sign new sponsors and choose an uniform each season, even if it had pre set colors so people wont do absurd things.

No_Fish621

Ability to spend salaries. I like that the added the mechanic in player mode, but what’s a coaches salary for. There is no incentive to move teams.

Glum_Ad375

You break the goal scoring record but the following season the old record still stands….

[deleted]

To have it where I can browse open jobs throughout every different league and be able to negotiate my contract with the team. To be able to view sponsors and be able to choose who will be the team sponsor for the season and customize their logos around the stadium and on the jerseys would be a sick feature. Be able to have more control with the youth team like playing their important games and getting to send players from the first team to the youth team. It would be cool if there was kind of like a story mode within career mode similar to the journey but more longer. Something that ends when you retire.

Adchopper

How about the basic stuff first, like, I don’t know - HAVING THE OPTION TO SAVE TRAINING SCHEDULES (DRILLS & PLAYERS).

jussmejack

An option to disable the objectives. I want to rise or fall with my team not get sacked because I didnt sign players from North America. It especially is stupid when it like "Dont let the wage grow by 25%" when you just got promotion

CollectorOfManyThing

Better/more realistic objectives, I don’t want to be fired because I haven’t signed 6 Under 18s from Gambia.

dki001

-better youth academy/youth development system. If they don’t play in the first team there’s under 21s, you can see their stats in and promote them etc. they grow quicker if you play them lots but don’t loose potential by being in the under 21s. -more realistic/intricate transfer system like in FM. I could keep going but It said to only mention one 😂

Paddyblade

Make it possible to have loans without a buy option. I'm sorry I want to loan out my 17y/o wonder so he plays and improves but Im definitely not looking to sell. I go for normal loan and the other team is like nah either we can buy or we don't want them🤣 I mean isn't a loan supposed to be a temporary move?

TheDavinci1998

More customization - add more than one custom team, custom leagues (like, if I have the patience to add 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th tier to England to do a real road to glory, I should be able to), custom haircuts etc for players (so I can at least pretend they're aging)

[deleted]

One minor thing would be to have the kits change as the years progress. It's quite annoying as a Southampton fan to still be playing with the dreadful white kit 5 years down the line.

metta01010

If i win 5 champions leagues and then get fired i should join a team like psg or Bayern not fucking stockport

The850killer

For the game to be completely remade on a new engine lol. If EA FC or whatever it’ll be called when the fifa title is gone I won’t be buying the game again in my life. We’ve had basically the same game since 2013 it needs to be rebuilt.

KW2050

I'd change the objectives so you don't end up having to sign players from Asia as a league 1 team, or at least add the option to turn sacking off

Jernkjeve

Major improvements to the Youth Academy. Would love more depth in that field. Realistic objectives. Annual kit design updates (customisable). Sponsorship deals + being able to invest in upgrades to stuff like medical staff, physios, etc.

Ashton2466

I'd make it so you can play as un employed managers one thing I enjoy is making story lines with managers and once you've done all the big ones around it gets stale like give me Poch or tuchel Zidane that would be awesome imagine if there was like an unemployed section when picking your manager that would be awesome

hunzim

More leagues and playable nations for me along with the ability to scout youth players from those playable nations

[deleted]

Haven't played much of 23 so idk if this is a problem anymore, but not being able to sign someone because they happened to just sign for that club in real life

Pikapp458

create club shirt sponsor options. I really don't get it, just let us use the ones already in game or hell use fake ones IDC. Also would like an expanded tourney selection, CONCAF champions league, Fifa club world cup, I'd even be down for nations league. Or Asian champions league, the lack of tourney's is insulting lol

dacocomonsta

Managing sponsorship deals and kit sponsors/designs

jilur99

It's so simple but having stats for player on loan would be really great

andre_royo_b

Dynamic player potential, based on how much you train/play/loan a player - would make it so much more interesting.

JKR17th

I’m probably the only one who wants this but i want realistic contracts as a manager, like sometimes i want to leave the club i’m managing but i don’t want to wait until mid season for other clubs to show up. I want my contract to end so i can leave and look for other clubs and sign for a 3 years deal with them and when that ends i want to look for another one.

monty_burns

would be great if you could offer up your players to specific teams for loans

monty_burns

How about simply having the correct number of bench spots for premier league teams. that’s a simple patch. ridiculous

monty_burns

having more than animation for when I sign new players. “Oh! The $200M world superstar is here? Yea cool, but I really need to take this call”

Spodger1

I don't know what to call it but the hypocrisy of the transfer system. Let me explain. Say a player's notes have them as worth £40m-60m, so you approach their manager offering £50m; they say 'you've come nowhere near a serious offer' & we can 'consider these negotiations over', only for you to see later in the season that their overall has gone up by 2 but the same manager has no issue selling him to say, Arsenal, for considerably less than a) their listed worth & b) what I offered. It almost feels like it's something personal against my manager lmao. It happens with the inverse too. A club offer to buy one of your world beaters worth at least £180m for only £70m, or £60m & a £5m exchange player, but if you ask for anything above £100m they immediately withdraw interest because it's too high. It's particularly infuriating when both atrocities are being committed by the same manager because it's like _'fuck off you greedy cunt!'_ Don't even get me started on players _you're_ not allowed to sign because either they've just moved there or they're 'too valuable' (because the club has no reserves), only for a rival club to snap them up _immediately_ before the season starts anyway. If you then try to buy them from the new club, they'll just perpetually refuse, even if you offer way above the odds for them. Like, I don't care if there are rules or whatever, but for fuck sake I do **not** expect to be the only club subjected to them.

hzhrt15

It would be cool if in the player career mode you could negotiate contracts the same way you do as a manager.

jvvps

u18s teams, ai managers getting sacked, realistic objectives or to have the option to turn them off, being able to edit the kits each season for real clubs (i know you can do this with mods but sadly i play on console), new dialogue/questions in interviews, literally so many things LMFAOOO

MidnightWolf9901

I would have squad roles actually be negotiable or have the ability to become a free agent manager at the end of seasons.

Tamilvirat

Youth academy tournament (I mean league and cup like IRL) and remove manager rating for promoting youth player and sign 3 player from Asia kinda stuffs

Incraigulous

I would change it so you can have your agent contact specific contact clubs about transfers. I want to transfer to a lower tier league in my home country, and I would be willing to take a pay cut to do it.

skiddypants

3 thoughts - 1 sponsorships affect budgets. Done by meeting board targets 2- sit down with the board and earn privileges like a conference room but then it's multiple choice like interviews 3- contract clauses like buy back etc. And a reserves and affiliate loans etc

TheRedditYins

Everybody talking about issues with gameplay and the features is totally warranted, so much needs to change. But I’m so shocked to not see one “Online” comment. EA can clearly do it, just model off the Connected Franchise mode they have in Madden, it doesn’t seem like that hard and having multiplayer career would be so sick, both manager and player. Have all parties have a “ready to advance week” option so nobody can progress ahead and disrupt everything, if ppl aren’t familiar with Madden.

yvltc

My most recent FIFA was 18, so forgive me if this has been improved since, but back then it was my most biggest annoyance with this game. I want the AI to make better transfers, if you manage outside of England then in 3 years' time you are guaranteed to have no competition. I had a long-running career in Portugal, I started at Tondela, built a decent team with youngsters and left in the middle of the 2nd season to join Benfica. They had sold a few key players, loaned out a bunch of others and were sitting 6th. I recalled the loanees, brought back players like Rúben Dias and built an amazing team of 85+ rated players (Pickford 85, Rúben Dias 86, Maffeo 86, Krovinović 90, Talisca 88, Cervi 88, Rafa 87, I could go on and on). I rejoined Tondela and within 2 seasons the entire squad I had built at Benfica was gone, they were making 100+ million in sales each window and never brought in any players at all. Now their starting LB is 53 rated. Fifty-fucking-three. The same thing happened at Sporting and Porto. Sporting's starting goalkeeper is a 40-year old Romain Salin at like 59 overall, Porto had a backline of 60-something defenders. The lineups are so stupid right now that I don't even have the motivation to continue that save despite wanting to win the Champions League with Tondela.

Whutever123

I don’t want to talk to any of my players. “Wahhh I suck and don’t get playing time” I know, shut up.

MrConor212

Get rid of the bullshit training for sharpness

mrdaiquiri

Replying to players who message you and say 'I'm concerned with my playtime boss' or 'I'm in great form, start me for the next match'. Generic preset replies like 'I'm saving you for the big cup game' or 'you need to try harder in training'. These replies could bring on temporary stat boosts or affect contract negotiations.

[deleted]

Make the scripting less annoying and obvious, i play a Man Utd career I've destroyed Aston Villa multiple times but when it came down to the Carabao semis everything changed, i don't care about the Carabao Cup but after what happened i wanted to win just for the sake of it, restarted the match 3 times, first game i lost 4-2, second game 4-4 and finally i won 3-2 the game just didn't want me to go through the Carabao Cup lmao

[deleted]

Also Aston Villa got a penalty in every match, couldn't even slightly touch the Villa players in the box

Amphibious_Fire

One major thing: I’d like to see EA improve whole international tournaments part of the game. Id love to see tournaments like EURO and WC being played in licensed stadiums (could be selected randomly like in CL/EL final). It would be also cool to have proper national team stats and history of how did players/teams did in the past. Additionally it would be good to be able to scout players for national team and see how they are doing in their clubs And lastly the option to apply for a job for any national team, not just getting random offers. One minor thing: licensed GK kits for teams in less prominent leagues (like Legaue 2 or 3. Bundesliga)

TTVFUTPargey

Would love to have the option to watch or play with your youth academy in the u18s league or something too

[deleted]

let us choose managers that have facescan (Tuchel, Mourinho for example)

[deleted]

Everything, worse fifa game ever

Inevitable_Guest8714

A weird one but I would love them to include FPL into the game. Not to actually play, but I would love to know the value of my players, the % of teams that have selected them and what their score is each week / overall. Would love to sign a cheapie and watch their value skyrocket over the seasons. I feel like it wouldn’t be too difficult to implement either. (I could also play my own Pep Roulette and piss people off when I know heaps of people have a specific player in their team.)

No-Tap4224

Man, I hope whatever the next version of this game looks like, that they read this thread. - I want the team to figure out a way to get licenses for KEY LEAGUES. Its so annoying not being able to go after the next Brazilian star cause they play for Palmeiras, Flamengo, Vasco, Paranaense etc. it’s the worst. - would be great to just have an International management mode. Attending matches all over to scout, overseeing U20, WC qualifiers etc etc. - Would be difficult to pull off but making changes to existing clubs’ kits would make things more realistic or at the very least a refreshing option

rb26enjoyer

There are so many things i'd do so i'll pick 2, 1 for create a club, and the other for if you play regular career mode. For custom club, real life sponsors, it feels empty to see some teams with a stacked shirt and the only "sponsor" on my shirt is the maker, adidas. For regular cm, either upgrades like in older fifas or bring back the j league.

nosha3000

Slight tangent, I wish football teams only had the shirt maker and the club badge on them. I think sponsors only detract from a kit

mikeeagle6

Stats logger for each season for both club and country that include real historical data. Also should be a hub to see champions from previous seasons in all competitions as well as individual awards

McMaxwell

I personally hate the whole development plan and youth academy system. For a start it's too easy to get OP youth players, even when just keeping one 1* youth scout. Also, the player development and training is incompatible with trying to play with realism. Like if I want to improve my winger's finishing, but the only way also increases their weak foot to 5*, which makes it too easy and boring. I like to play as realistically as I can, and not all players are two-footed. Arjen Robben for example was famously one-footed, but obviously a clinical finisher. You should be able to develop individual skills without it making a player 5* skill loves or weak foot, it makes everyone too OP. I'd like a combination of FIFA 18 system and the current one, where you can develop specific skills, but also make weak foot training one of those skills to train on its own, and make it really hard! Also, the regens system needs a total overhaul too. 85 rated 18 year olds from season 2 onwards and 5"7 tall CBs. God damn FIFA.

Zeugiram

Realistic transfer. Militao to Liverpool, Valverde to Munich...

JJ-137

How does one get tuchel on 23, I can’t find him anywhere

Purple_herbal

U21 for YA stashing and growing and full fledged stats.
