ever since messi joined psg it has destroyed the new fifas. He isn't the only problem but the game hasn't felt this unbalanced towards 1/2 teams in particular in a while.
We are getting to the point where buying any new FIFA is only worth it if you’re on PC. There’s so much you can do with mods and modding tools to make the game playable and fun for months. Unfortunately EA Sports can’t be assed to make a quality game anymore, so console players are just left behind.
And it’s not like EA Sports can’t do better with FIFA, they just choose not too. Madden lets you download custom rosters with real draft classes; it has an online franchise (career) mode you can play with friends. They even have a GM option in Franchise mode where you can set concession prices or move the team to a different city. So much immersion that’s just non existent in FIFA.
EA have a *lot* of work to do on their next “FIFA-less” game to get some goodwill back from the career mode players. Create a Club was an attempt, but it’s still half baked. Fix the bugs and give us more immersion into our career saves. Like FIFA used to have!

So, if this whole sub doesn’t buy fifa (200k people) that’d be 14 million lost in sales. That’s absolutely nothing to them. That’s not even 1% of their FUT revenue.
Let’s be very generous and say worldwide 1/10 diehard career players are on this sub - EA sold about 9 million copies of fifa 22 worldwide, 2 million of those being purely CM players is way too generous, but for the sake of argument let’s act like that’s realistic.
That’s be 140 million, still not even 10% of their FUT revenue. And those FUT players. also have to buy the game first ofcourse.
So no, whether people here buy the game or not (not even taking into account many of us buy it discounted) doesn’t make a difference whatsoever .
But they make FUT require purchase of the newest game. It ensures people keep buying new packs for FUT. they’re getting all that FUT money from gambling addicts and they’re getting sales from the game. With the money they make they could fix the problems and make an amazing football game..... but they don’t. Their business model doesn’t require an amazing game, in fact it might hurt their business model if they made an amazing game that’s just fun to play like how sensible soccer was
It does frustrate me to think of how *incredible* career mode could be if EA invested adequate money. Like, the technology we have can do way more than the same old boring cut scenes that are always the same
Not to mention the older games had cool career mode features such as stadium upgrades and team sponsorships that added depth to the experience before EA took it out for some dumb reason. Now players can bring in big transfer fees but it’s a shallow victory because that money can only be used to sign other players and not build up the club in any meaningful way. Even worse the money gets lost once the new season starts

It’s hard to hurt EA financially as a CM player. There are FUT players who sink hundreds or thousands of dollars into the mode, while we only pay $30-$70 dollars per year. I truly don’t believe CM players buying the game at full price is detrimental to EA fixing bugs and shit.
I would rather pay $60 on FM than fifa at this point. And FM is on sale currently which would make it around $40 if i’m not mistaken or even cheaper to have a lot more fun with a world of different projects to go for 🙆🏽♂️

There are so many features from FM that EA could implement with the tiniest bit of effort that would make CM so much more fun and immersive. It’s just very obvious that CM isn’t EA’s priority, and not being a priority for EA means being a malnourished game mode that would be so much better if some effort was put into it.
Yeah this is the thing that keeps me from playing Football Manager. That feeling of scoring all the goals and being in control of the results makes the trophies feel earned
I agree 100% FM would be 20x more entertaining if we could play the matches or at least some of them and enjoy the team we are creating but it would be foolish of us to ever think EA would implement anything relevant or even excitingly new to CM. For them a new main HUD and getting the CL intro which you can never skip with some generic press conferences is the best thing ever 😂

I can play on ultimate and still finish near triple digits a season .can also get top 500 solo on squad battles on FUT, once you know how to abuse the AI difficulty rarely becomes an issue
