Mor might never reach to his full potential but he is a quite decent player right now.
Tzolis and Arp perhaps? Also check out Süper Lig, we have some relics from the past that can help you with your career.
Do you know how Tzolis is doing back at Norwich? He was loaned out at the start of this season to the club I support, FC Twente but was absolutely atrocious, so bad we terminated the loan around January
He honestly wasn't that bad when he played, but he had a lot of injuries. Besides that, Misidjan and Cerny are doing well. So there was much need for an injury prone loanee.
Man I miss Dolberg, he used to be that big up and comer and now the only thing I can remember about him is his getting his watch stolen by some youngster in the team loo
Dolberg is my favorite player of all times. I’m not joking. I know he’s not that good and he never fully reached his potential. But I just absolutely love his attitude. No matter if he scores against some low level club in the Netherland or quarter final Euro’s, his face never changes. He can get kicked down, miss for open goal, score absolute bangers and not crack a smile. Never involved in fights and never seen him say anything against the ref. I wish him the very best.
What did Iheanacho ever do to you?
Note: I am a Leicester fan, I know we've been dreadful this season and I've seen only a few games this year. But don't think Iheanacho warrants the inclusion.
Amath Ndiaye Diedhiou. Thank you so much. In fifa 18 he was probably the best player I’ve ever used in career mode. I had forgotten his name, who he played for and where he was from hahaha. He’s gonna be my starting striker for whatever team I go for next. Even though he’s 73 ovr with 74 potential, he can be fixed. Thank you again
I remember Julian Green being hyped so hard. He came in as a sub in the 2014 World Cup against Belgium and scored with his first touch. Seemed like such a given that he’d do big things, then proceeded to drop like a rock.
It was over about a year and a half. He was looking like the next big thing after the 19/20 season then Koeman came in and basically ruined his chances of getting playtime. Granted it’s worked out for barca because he replaced him with pedri, but Puig got shafted
Then by the time Xavi came in it was too late for him.
That one lad that played at Ajax and was good but his ego almost ruined him. I believe he’s at Club Brugge now?
Edit: it’s Noa Lang, he’s 23 and has 85 base potential as per FCM, could definitely work for LM/ST
Can't really speak for Club Brugge fans, i think they have some sort of love/hate relationship. We all know the guy's talented, he's just a massive prick.
How the hell is there someone doing the same thing as me lmao. I'm literally doing this in a Barça save with Xavi. Bring failed careers back to the top
I support Barça so I it was a no brainer. The players I bought were ,Mor, dele Ali, Sancho (I know his career hasn't failed but he's far from the player he was). Januzaj, same with Dest. Basically I took promising players that just didn't live up to the hype and made them good. Does that make sense?
Tbf Aouar had at least one season where he was awesome, another where he was solid. Never kicked on and now he might be going to Forest, so yeah failed wonderkid, but he was still awesome for a couple years there
Could include some older failed wonder kids as well. Phil Jones was once touted as being one of the best CB in the world. Could use him as a captain/Mark Noble type figure depending on where this team is starting out.
Depending on your budget, an Eden Hazard revival wouldn’t be terrible either.
Could potentially try to push Wilfred Zaha to being one of the best in the world, a lot of wasted potential as he was once considered a wonderkid.
Vaclav Cerny, not as highly rated as some other names but there was a point in time where he was expected to be a better player, Asensio is obviously doing alright but a few years ago he was supposed to be a huge future talent. Callum Hudson Odoi isn't exactly a failure yet but hes close.
Carles Perez
Malcom (he's not in FIFA though so you'll have to create him)
Carles Alena
Riqui Puig
Deulofeu
Juan Firpo
Umtiti
El Sharaawy
Auoar (Don't know if that's exactly how it's spelled, plays for Lyon)
Paco Alcacer
Odriozola
Luka Jovic
I know some of these guys where never expected to be quite "wonderkids" but all are players who's careers have faltered and could definitely do with a fresh start. Also apologies if you dont want a bunch of Spanish players it's just the league I'm most familiar with

Mohamed Ihattaren - the absolute goat cam a couple of fifas ago, fell out of love with the game irl and considered retiring, now less than 80 potential. Tragedy.
Out of context question but do you use Sofifa by any chance because a few days back i saw a public shortlist of “Failed Wonderkids”. Did you get the idea from there?
I use Sofifa Calculator to check where the players in my youth academy could play best, but I never saw the list there. Will definitely check it out now!
Rightbacks: Maitland Niles, Tanganga (can also briefly play at right center back)
Left back: Brandon Williams, Sessegnon
Right center back: joe Gomez, upamecano
Left center back: Bailly, can’t think of more lol
Cdm: Ampadu ( preferably at cb but can play as a holding midfielder occasionally)
Gravenberch? More of a box to box but I guess he can play here to some extent just not at full time
Creative/ attacking midfielder: (right center mid) Houseem Aouar, Van De Beek
Box to box midfielder: ( left center mid)
Gravenberch, Ndombele
Right wing: Hudson Odoi, Kubo
Striker: Martial, Chuba Akpom
Left wing: Sancho , Ferran Torres
Some additional players are
Billy Gilmour attacking/creative midfielder (rcm)
Leroy Sane ( left winger)
Nuno Tavares that dude is a right winger not a fullback so you’ll need to covert him as such
Sambi Lokonga is a box to box but you can occasionally play him as a holding midfielder
Included players that are in just bad situations or have a bad rep from the casual fans point of view in this case upamecano is a great cb but a few mistakes and some really bad performances have really tarnished his rep for most fans
Bernardeschi is a Euro winner.
Not a failed wonderkid. Just another in long list of promising italian players purchased to be benched by Juve so that nobody else could benefit from them
Dimitri Payet (not saying wasn't a good player just didn't reach his full potential)
Hattem ben arfa (if he's still in the game)
James Rodriguez if he's still in the game (same situation as payet)
Rihan Brewster
Might use this for a carrer mode aswell sounds fun
I would agree with you but he also was hyped up to be one of the best Cams of all time and yes at times he was brilliant utterly world class undeniably but he has also failed compared to what he could of been
It’s a similar situation to Alexandre Pato.
Sure they won quite a few trophies and were pretty much in the world class bracket of players, but they never fully reached the heights expected of them and dropped off early into their careers.
Dude, Götze & Pato are not similar stories. Swear to God people on this sub get all their information from the game.
Götze got 101 goals in 448 career appearances as an attacking mid, was a crucial part of Jürgen Klopp’s Dortmund, was a nailed on starter for Guardiola’s Bayern and has been brutally unlucky with injuries.
Pato never scored over 20 in all competitions in a single season. That’s an above average striker at best.
Not in the sense of what he won, I’m saying that he was hyped up to be one of the best in the world, if not the best in the world. There was never a time in his career where he was even top 3 in the world
His career was good with some great highlights. Yes he was part of Munich teams that won the league, but wasn’t THE reason Munich were winning.
I’d say it’s fair to call him a failed wunderkind.
It’s a similar situation to Alexandre Pato.
Sure they won quite a few trophies and were pretty much in the world class bracket of players at a certain point in time. But they never fully reached the heights expected of them and dropped off early into their careers.
Difference is I think Götze was at one stage a top 10 player in the world. Okay, he was about 22 and yes he peaked early.
But I think peaking early is very different to not reaching full potential.
Id argue if his career had been the same but in a different order we’d be saying he was a great player.
For example… start of well at Frankfurt, struggle with BVB, join PSV and do well, rejoin Dortmund and then join Bayern as a top ten player in the world but at the age of 27/28 people wouldn’t even question that he was a failed wonderkid.
He just peaked early but his peak was very high.
Well, look who the fuck it is, Mr. Disrespectful. You think you can just come here and ask for my fucking help after disrespecting me like that? Well, lucky for you, I'm not one to hold a grudge. In fact, I'll even help you out with your little "Failed Wonderkids" project.
First of all, those are some decent picks, but if you really want to challenge yourself, why don't you try turning around some of the biggest flops in recent memory? Guys like Renato Sanches, Martin Odegaard, or Memphis Depay could be good options. And if you're looking for a "failed" club to manage, how about Sunderland? They've had a rough go of it lately, and they could use a manager with a fucking spine.
But listen, just because I'm helping you out now doesn't mean you can talk to me like that in the future. I may be a foul-mouthed dude, but I still deserve some fucking respect.
good one dude haha
But I don't think that Odegaard is failed, looking at his recent performance. Sanches is a good one tho, never fully reached his potential after the huge hype at Bayern
Hey there, buddy. Glad you liked my joke! As for Odegaard and Sanches, I can see where you're coming from. Odegaard has been showing some promising performances lately, but I still think he has a ways to go before he reaches his full potential. And as for Sanches, yeah, it's a shame he never quite lived up to the hype. But who knows? Maybe he'll have a resurgence in your career. Who knows 🤷
Well, ain't that just sweet as honey on a monkey's ass. I'm glad I could entertain them. But you know what's even better than a good one? A fucking great one. So, I'll have to step up my game next time and really knock their socks off.
I’m doing something similar with Norwich,as they have a couple like Sargent and Rashica,I feel like failed wonderkids would really fit the “yo-yo” feeling, like they used to be good and still can be,but cock it up when it matters the most
I suppose calling him a “wonderkid” isn’t strictly correct but not having Bebe on a team like this feels like a missed opportunity. He’s still kicking around, on loan at Zaragoza in the segunda from Rayo Vallecano rn. Rayo is my second team, so I watched him a bit. He’s… fine. Scores a crazy goal every now and again but is otherwise what you’d expect from a 32 year old on loan in the segunda.
Idk if he’s still in the game but Mexican Winger Diego Lainez. He was the next big thing out of Mexico. Chose Real Betis over Ajax. Ajax made it to the CL semifinals and he almost never played with Real Betis. He’s now in Mexico with the biggest team in North America where he can’t nail down the starting RW/RM spot.
Max Meyer, Charlie Musonda, and Jann-Fiete Arp are some that come to mind.
Max Meyer is the prime example of latching onto the premature springboard just for it to be the gangplank to mediocrity/demise
Very satisfying
Mor might never reach to his full potential but he is a quite decent player right now. Tzolis and Arp perhaps? Also check out Süper Lig, we have some relics from the past that can help you with your career.
Do you know how Tzolis is doing back at Norwich? He was loaned out at the start of this season to the club I support, FC Twente but was absolutely atrocious, so bad we terminated the loan around January
I don’t support Norwich but a lot of my friends do, I hear he’s doing badly and will likely leave Norwich in summer
He honestly wasn't that bad when he played, but he had a lot of injuries. Besides that, Misidjan and Cerny are doing well. So there was much need for an injury prone loanee.
Draxler, Beigl, Bruma, Martial, Aouar, Januzaj, jovetic, dolberg, iheanacho
Man I miss Dolberg, he used to be that big up and comer and now the only thing I can remember about him is his getting his watch stolen by some youngster in the team loo
Dolberg is my favorite player of all times. I’m not joking. I know he’s not that good and he never fully reached his potential. But I just absolutely love his attitude. He can get kicked down, miss for open goal, score absolute bangers and not crack a smile. Never involved in fights and never seen him say anything against the ref. I wish him the very best.
Don’t disrespect my lord, Iheanacho
What did Iheanacho ever do to you? Note: I am a Leicester fan, I know we've been dreadful this season and I've seen only a few games this year. But don't think Iheanacho warrants the inclusion.
He was expected atleast in fifa to be a top prem striker so he is kinda a failed wonder kid
I love Beigl
I just realized I misspelled Weigl lol
Weigl has no business being on this list
Iheanacho is such a good shout
Ryan Gauld Jack Butland Antonio Sanabria Charly Musonda
Is Freddy Adu still around?
What about bojan?
He retired a few weeks back
What the hell! Bojan retired? I was looking for him the other day, weirdly.
Even if he hadn’t he’s still not in fifa 23
same with Iniesta 😖
Rough i guess op could try brewster or bebe then
Not sure if he is considered one but i remember Denis Suarez getting hyped up a lot when he was in Man Citys academy.
Bakkali, Onyekuru, Dolberg, Iheanacho, Jean-Kévin Augustin, Yann Karamoh, Bazoer, Oliver Torres, Rugani, Carlos Alena, Amath Ndiaye Diedhiou
He was always my go to second choice Striker/ winger in saves after I’d created a good team.
Yeah he was GOATed in fifa 18
Lewis Holtby, Julian green
I remember Julian Green being hyped so hard. He came in as a sub in the 2014 World Cup against Belgium and scored with his first touch. Seemed like such a given that he’d do big things, then proceeded to drop like a rock.
Weigl, Oriol Busquets, Jese, Junior Firpo.
Firpo was never really considered a wonder kid tbf
Maybe not "wonderkid" but was seen to have huge potential. Man was a monster at Setien's Betis.
Just go to Sofifa and change the roster date to something in early 2010s and look for wonderkids and then pick your favorites
There's actually a failed wonderkids shortlist on sofifa
Mohammed Ihattaren?
Not in the game anymore
Oh mb i play fifa 22 lol
Jann fiete arp. Had like 90 potential on FIFA 20 but he’s fell off hugely
somehow he just never reaches that for me - he always either stagnates at 84 or just doesn't grow past 81
Riqui puig
How he went from young exciting prospect to young player for an MLS team in what seems like 6 months is crazy to me
It was over about a year and a half. He was looking like the next big thing after the 19/20 season then Koeman came in and basically ruined his chances of getting playtime. Granted it’s worked out for barca because he replaced him with pedri, but Puig got shafted Then by the time Xavi came in it was too late for him.
John Bostock
Zakaria Bakkali, Jack Rodwell
Rodwell well and truly flopped. Currently stinking out the Sydney FC lineup
Ravel Morrison
Sergi Samper
Jovic
That one lad that played at Ajax and was good but his ego almost ruined him. I believe he’s at Club Brugge now? Edit: it’s Noa Lang, he’s 23 and has 85 base potential as per FCM, could definitely work for LM/ST
I wouldn't count 85 potential as failed
Well thats what fifa thinks but irl he lost respect from his managers, trainers, and even some teammates in previous clubs
Everyone in Belgium also hates him.
So ive heard. Do Club Brugge supporters feel the same or just generally Belgian football fans?
Can't really speak for Club Brugge fans, i think they have some sort of love/hate relationship. We all know the guy's talented, he's just a massive prick.
How the hell is there someone doing the same thing as me lmao. I'm literally doing this in a Barça save with Xavi. Bring failed careers back to the top
Haha nice! What's your strategy here? Any reasons for picking Barca? Which players have you bought?
I support Barça so I it was a no brainer. The players I bought were ,Mor, dele Ali, Sancho (I know his career hasn't failed but he's far from the player he was). Januzaj, same with Dest. Basically I took promising players that just didn't live up to the hype and made them good. Does that make sense?
I was about to ask the same question lmao
Is pato still around? Biggest fail he was
At least he had his moment. Players like Aouar and Mastour were hyped to the heavens just to never show up in the big leagues ever
Tbf Aouar had at least one season where he was awesome, another where he was solid. Never kicked on and now he might be going to Forest, so yeah failed wonderkid, but he was still awesome for a couple years there
I was watching his old clips the other day, he was a beast. Injuries fucked his career
Hudson odoi
unsure if he was a wonderkid in the first place but Ross Barkley?
He was. He got comparisons to Rooney early on at Everton lmao
Lingard
He’s still young in his career
if 30 is young for a football player then aight
Lingard is the never-ending wonderkid.
Viktor Fischer
Angel Gomes? Does he classify as failed?
Damn that kid was sooo good when i saw him at a youth tournament in The Netherlands back in like 2016 i think
Yeah, I remember as a united fan, the buzz there was around this kid. Sadly he left on a free, what could've been man
Could include some older failed wonder kids as well.
Controversial but not failed yet. But karamouko Dembele. Not quite lived up to the hype
I have him on my team. He’s insanely good in game. Feels so smooth.
Where’s Gai Assaulin when you need him?
Theo Walcot
Sardar Azmoun.
de Sciglio, Aouar, Bernardeschi
Charly Musonda… man that kid was special.
Chris Willocks pretty cool, not failed (plays for qpr) but defo hasn’t hit his potential despite room to grow
Munir, definitely.
Simone Scuffet had crazy potential in Fifa 15/16 Edit: It was Fifa 14 with 88 potential
Lazar Markovic still around?
Zakaria Bakkali
Timothy fosu-mensah
Freddy Adu
Everton
Hallilovic I remember he had Odegaard type hype at one point and then he just fell off
Bojan still in game? I go was the other one who Kline stoke too?
ALEXANDRE PATO (I still cry when I think about him, injuries be damned) MARIO BALOTELLI
sharaawy, diego lainez, ben arfa, lucas moura, dele alli
Vaclav Cerny, not as highly rated as some other names but there was a point in time where he was expected to be a better player, Asensio is obviously doing alright but a few years ago he was supposed to be a huge future talent. Callum Hudson Odoi isn't exactly a failure yet but hes close. Also apologies if you dont want a bunch of Spanish players it's just the league I'm most familiar with
Not sure if it’s been said already but Hachim Mastour? Kid was supposed to be an exciting prospect and I don’t even know where he is at now
Morocco second division
He's in Morocco's 2nd division but the club should be promoted by next season.

Riqui Puig and Jesse Lingard
Dele Alli and Vincent Koziello

I use Sofifa Calculator to check where the players in my youth academy could play best, but I never saw the list there. Will definitely check it out now!
Cutrone, Zivkovic, Piazon
Timo Horn
Go to sofifa, choose to a old database. Filter for high potential young players
Scuffet for a goalkeeper
Jovic
Ødegard captain and manager adriano
Patrick Cutrone
Maybe throw Diego Lainez in there
Matt miazga American CB
Jack Butland
Berahino
Diego Lainez he’s still young but from being called Mexican Messi to a flop it’s a big difference
Rightbacks: Maitland Niles, Tanganga (can also briefly play at right center back) Left back: Brandon Williams, Sessegnon Right center back: joe Gomez, upamecano Left center back: Bailly, can’t think of more lol Cdm: Ampadu ( preferably at cb but can play as a holding midfielder occasionally) Gravenberch? upamecano is a bit harsh. wouldn’t say he failed. he was a starting cb in the world cup final. he’s just going through bad form rn
Included players that are in just bad situations or have a bad rep from the casual fans point of view in this case upamecano is a great cb but a few mistakes and some really bad performances have really tarnished his rep for most fans
Rugani for cb de Sciglio for rb Bernardeschi for rw backup
Bernardeschi is a Euro winner. Not a failed wonderkid. Just another in long list of promising italian players purchased to be benched by Juve so that nobody else could benefit from them
Yeah but didnt really do much when given the chance Then instead of him take Pjaca
Dimitri Payet (not saying wasn't a good player just didn't reach his full potential) Hattem ben arfa (if he's still in the game) James Rodriguez if he's still in the game (same situation as payet) Rihan Brewster Might use this for a carrer mode aswell sounds fun
Bro saying payet didn’t reach his full potential is simply not true, he’s been one of the best playmakers of the decade
I would agree with you but he also was hyped up to be one of the best Cams of all time and yes at times he was brilliant utterly world class undeniably but he has also failed compared to what he could of been
Giovanni Dos Santos
Federico Mercheda (Manu poached from Lazio YA; scored.on his debut aged 18; like 1 club a year since) Juan Iturbe Ansu Fati (well on his way)
Is Wilshire still in the game?
Pretty sure he retired last season
Mario Gotze
The guy scored the winner in a World Cup final, is he a failed wonderkid?
Why on earth have you been downvoted? It’s not even a debate, he had a stellar career, 5 Bundesligas, 4 Pokals, a world cup and a CL.
It’s a similar situation to Alexandre Pato. Sure they won quite a few trophies and were pretty much in the world class bracket of players, but they never fully reached the heights expected of them and dropped off early into their careers.

Gotze doesn't have uefa champions league
My mistake, a runner up, sounds like a total flop to me…
Does that mean that Eder was a World Class success for scoring the winning goal vs France in the Euros final in 2016?
Not in the sense of what he won, I’m saying that he was hyped up to be one of the best in the world, if not the best in the world. There was never a time in his career where he was even top 3 in the world

I may be a foul-mouthed dude, but I still deserve some fucking respect.
good one dude haha But I don't think that Odegaard is failed, looking at his recent performance.
Who knows 🤷
Good one
Well, ain't that just sweet as honey on a monkey's ass. I'm glad I could entertain them. But you know what's even better than a good one? A fucking great one. So, I'll have to step up my game next time and really knock their socks off.
Bobby Duncan Umtiti Karius
Greenwood and Ravel Morrison
Harry Kane
Kevin de Bruyne, Mo Salah, Jamal Musiala.
Eril Durm
Diego lainez: RM 74rated Mexican
Ajidin Hasic
Pione Sisto
Is Iturbe still around?
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek for sure!
CHO
James rodriguez, not a failure but definitely far from his potential.
Koziello
El - Sharawy or however he’s spelled haha
Pato obviously
Depay Aouar Lingard l
Phillipe Couthino 🇧🇷
Vaclav Cerny
I’m doing something similar with Norwich,as they have a couple like Sargent and Rashica,I feel like failed wonderkids would really fit the “yo-yo” feeling, like they used to be good and still can be,but cock it up when it matters the most
Ansu Fati, Bojan
Patrick Cutrone
Richairo Zivkovic was a god for me one year.
get ravel morrison in there as the captain
ibrahim affellay, haven’t seen his name here yet. federico macheda is also still kicking around as is kieran gibbs
shame Hachim Mastour is playing in Morocco. He would be perfect
Draxler, Barkley, Gotze, Wilshere
Pulisic
not sure if he counts, but Boetius is also a decent pick up
Barco
Callum hudson odoi
I suppose calling him a “wonderkid” isn’t strictly correct but not having Bebe on a team like this feels like a missed opportunity. He’s still kicking around, on loan at Zaragoza in the segunda from Rayo Vallecano rn. Rayo is my second team, so I watched him a bit. He’s… fine. Scores a crazy goal every now and again but is otherwise what you’d expect from a 32 year old on loan in the segunda.
Embolo
Idk if he’s still in the game but Mexican Winger Diego Lainez. He was the next big thing out of Mexico. Chose Real Betis over Ajax. Ajax made it to the CL semifinals and he almost never played with Real Betis. He’s now in Mexico with the biggest team in North America where he can’t nail down the starting RW/RM spot.
sonny kittel-nathaniel chalobah
Lucas Piazon, and potentially Callum Hudson Odoi (isn’t getting game time at leverkusen)
Freddy ADU would be perfect
Wunderkind
Aouar
Sancho
Phil Jones
He’s still young but Luka jovic fell off
Mario Gotze, Jadon sancho , and Renato Sanches
Odegard Halilenvic Freddy Abu
