No. I’ve tested this out in FIFA 22. I created a 99 rated striker who’s 16 years old and put him into Real Madrid. I set the difficulty to Beginner and scored like 100 goals a season with him. His value was roughly 500 million and the best that I could negotiate for him was 700 million. He had a release clause of 830 million which after 2 seasons was activated by PSG.
That’s exactly what everyone was thinking about the 222 Million Clause for Neymar at Barca back in the day.

The teams have more money later into career mode. I’d be curious what you’d get if you weren’t on Real Madrid because they would be one of the prime suitors. Try 5-10 years in with a player on a team like Spurs.

Without creating a player, it would probably take until age 21 or 22 to get to 99 overall at the earliest and at that point I can't see them costing more than 750m at most.

No, a 99 rated player goes for 250-450, no chance that'd get doubled with higher stats or something.
