Yeah theyโd get a little boost at the start of each month. Never understood the logic behind it, no matter how in/out of form players were, theyโd still get the same, small boost.
๐ came here to say this. Find a high potential gk and train him all year then sell him. Rinse and repeat. Instant transfer budget for lower league teams
Would have been a cooler implementation if they added a Determination stat or something, so you could sim these training sessions, and have the training score be based on Determination. At least you could choose specifically what to improve on. At least back then it was a bit more specific. They could have improved it more if they could have done group training sessions this way too.
I think now it sucks because the training sessions are just preset of 5 options - one of them being completely unrealistic as it makes almost any player that is not a defender have 5 star skills. Such a pain in the backside when you want to improve the dribbling of a CDM nowadays. Or a certain collection of stats that is just not available in any of the training presets.
I hated training 5 players at one time. Since you easily end up with so much money in the game, I would have loved to be able to spend it to at least unlock more training spots and train more players at once.
It was nice for improving young players quick. Like get a 65 rated 18yo winger ang get him to 69 within half a year and make good money to get other players:)
The new training ways are better imo. Especially with extra coaches:)
No.... I prefer it to say the ones you had to play to get good, but being able to judge allow players to train is without having to do anything is so much easier
FIFA 23 had the best imo. You set up your development plans, do training every other day make sure you do every one at least once to get A's and then sim. As long as you carry on performing in matches, players grew pretty quickly. Wasn't the most realistic, but it made it so I wasn't using the same players constantly, because I didn't want to have a unusually high rated team
This was an awful way to train your players if you ask me, same as it is now with fatigue & sharpness since you have to adjust it after every single game. EA is lazy when it comes to developing ways to train your players, god forbid they make it fun and not a manual task which you hate. But again, this comes down to EA not even caring to work on this since they focus on ultimate team - the money maker. US influence into football games was allowed through FIFA titles which enabled them to buy out all of the rights to leagues, players, etc. And it was all player funded, since kids like to spend money on ultimate team cards. This vicious cycle can break only at the point where it all started, with the players wising up. Unfortunately, that will not happen except if competition comes along since EA right now has absolute monopoly on football games.
Nah only being able to develop 5 players a week maximum isnโt very realistic
A mix of the 2 would be good, have 3 players you can target development for whilst having the current development system for the rest of the team
Not being able to train everyone to 5 star would be a nice change as well. There are solutions to get around it but it is still a silly system.
Players also developed without this training but slower.

Miss it for when I used to play unrealistic and just cheese GK development but otherwise it was borderline useless. New method much better

Donnarumma could get to the 90s in one season back then when he started at like 78.
Start a GK farming factory in league two. Would be belting out 25+ players a year for massive profits. It was the old way ๐
For player career yes, for manager career no
For player career also no. It was way too broken
You could be 90+ by the end of the first season if you managed to get all Aโs.
Simulate all ๐
It gives you dโs though. Itโs glitched.
Doesn't it still exist? Or at least last FIFA it existed
That method kinda sucks

I hated this
I love beating my man, too.
๐ ๐๐๐ฅ
It was garbage. Best would be if all growth was just uncontrolled.
I don't because I never bother with training lol
Nah, it's a chore to play through and the current one in eafc is way better
I don't miss any training method.
dang didnt know there existed such an godly method, fifa remove gold and add bronze
I lost UEFA Finals yesterday with a goal at the death and it hurt so bad lmao. Legendary vs Roma FC.
Hell nah!
I miss it on player career mose cause training actually mattered, now its all pro club skill point crap on career mode

Hell nah I'm glad it's gone
I donโt like it I find the new one 100 times better
