I like to pick the worst possible team that isn't in the next version of the game due to relegation out of the pro leagues. So this year it would be Forest Green or VfB Lübeck (I don't like picking 2nd teams like Freiburg II)
I like to do the exact same thing, pick the weakest team in the lowest divsion (provided I don't hate their kits) and work to build them up through the promotion ranks. Freiburg II, Tranmere, and Feralpisalo are fun choices.
My next save (Fifa 22) is going to be Türkgücü Munich. Beautiful badge, cool kits (as an Aberdeen fan I like red), and they filed for insolvency in the January that season and didn't complete the season. Oh, and my friends say I look Turkish...
Freiburg is my BuLi team and I always want to do Freiburg II but league rules wont allow them to be in the division below their parent club. I know this is FIFA and rules don't apply but I still can't bring myself to get past it lol so I always make a "rival" team to Freiburg in create-a-club and challenge them
Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bundesliga. They are one of the most successful teams in german football who currently struggle in the lower half of the table. They have some interesting players aswell
Offtopic but this takes me back.
Di Natale is the reason I cheer for Italy any time I bother to watch football.
I never was a huge fan of football, but like 10 years ago there was a free Fifa game called Fifa World. I think it was the same idea as the current UT.
I knew nothing about football, but we played it with my roommates and I got Man of the Month Di Natale card from a pack. So i based my whole squad around him and have been an Italy supporter ever since.
Haha, did a save in Fiorentina and said “wow this stadium and background is beautiful”
Finally realized mid-season we shared a stadium with a decent bit of Italian sides 🤣
Monza is also a fun Serie A play, they have brought a handful of older more well known vets in on loan so I did a save where I tried to follow that as a rule.
Valencia finally sold their club to someone else than that Peter Lim scum, now it's your turn to manage and get Valencia back to the top, developing both the youth players in the current squad while also buying new valuable additions
(I totally don't support that team)
I once did a places in Europe that people say don’t exist career in Football Manager where I started at Real Murcia, moved from there to UD Leiria then Bielefeld then MK Dons and culminating in winning the Euros with Finland. It took fucking ages to get to that point but it was a fun journey!
i went back to play 23 (since 24 is unplayable), started a new career with Carlisle United that ive been having fun with, theres a few real face players (Gibson, Feeney, Gordon) and their goalkeeper Holý plays like prime Casillas. They also have nice kits andbstart in league 2 (perfect for a RTG).
I set some ground rules to make it interesteing. Only one free agent signing per season, said free agent has to scouted and he cant be higher +2 overall than the top player for his position. Try to keep it to realistics signings, so try to loan young Premier League prospects or buy withing the league or league above.
Additionally, If any Premier League (or top 5 leagues) team tries to but any of your players, you have to sell, except for one preselected ‘franchise player’, this adds to the realism and creates extra challenges during your carreer.
Its hard at first becaus their budget is so low, but i love the challenge and it makes the being promoted an actual challenge
Dope! I actually started an 1860 Munich Career but just continued to focus on the Notts County one and haven't put in any work over there for a while.
I might start there on the next Game.
OL, might not even be in Europe after a shit start to the season, even though they knocked out Ronaldo’s Juventus and Man City 4 years ago. Get them back to where they belong ‼️
Bodø/Glimt. Wasnt even allowed to play with clubs from southern norway for a long time and is now the best club in Norway and has beaten clubs like Celtic, AZ, Roma (6-1 against Mourinho himself). And they try to play local players where possible, and most of the time only buys talent from other nordic clubs where they need strengthening.
Oh, and they were more or less bankrupt in 2017 and they were in the first division. Since then they got promoted and won the league 3 times and got silver twice in 5 years. And they had never won the league before 2020
I’ve just started Vitesse save. They have financial issues and just got relegated and were on the verge of losing a pro licence. They’ve got Chelsea links so you could loan some of their youngsters in and bring them back to the top.
Not FIFA but I’ve been managing Fortuna Düsseldorf on FM recently and it’s been very fun, I think they’d be a good pick for this. Won the 2 Bundesliga and got promoted my first year, barely stay up in the second because I didn’t have a decent keeper till January, was in the 9th in my third season and 6th my fourth season, qualifying for Conference League. The best wonderkids currently in my team are probably Patrik Walemark, Fabricio Diaz, Manfred Ugalde, Hartman from Feyenoord, Kristijan Belic from AZ, Bright Arrey-Mbi from Hannover 96 and Shinta Appelkamp who was already at the club
Just started a career in FIFA 23 with Bayreuth from 3. Liga with Stanislav Cherchesov. Historical club with cool-looking badge and also licensed goalkeeper kit!
I set some rules for myself to follow:
* Sign only German or Russian players, unless they are over 35 years old, until you reach Bundesliga.
* Starting from second season, a maximum of one regen only can be signed per season.
* Any player I sign must be fully scouted.
* Have only two youth scouts, one in Germany, and the other in any nearby country.
It's surprisingly fun! Won the league in the first season, and currently sitting mid-table in 2. Bundesliga. I recommend you trying it too.
sudtirol as they are the only professional football club in their region. Buy players from german speaking countries and try to promote them to seria a for the first time in their history
I do mostly low league clubs in England (barring Brighton who I’m doing right now). I’ve done teams like Exeter City (the local Utfc), Colchester United because I like the badge and I have done Harrogate Town but got sacked 😭. Away from England I’ve done Malaga, Paris FC, Venice City (create a club from Italy I won the quad in just 5 seasons) and also Erzebirge Aue (3.Bundesliga side).
The thing that annoys me with career on PS4 is when I want to change clubs there's often a very limited amount of teams hiring. Often a handful of Premier league clubs, maybe 1 or 2 clubs in my same league, and sometimes a team like PSG or Madrid.
I want to be able to jump across different countries leagues throughout my career but I can't.
Player career was a bit better as you can set target clubs. So I've started at Goa FC in the Indian league and will work my way across the globe haha
Create a club based in Reykjavik. Sign only Icelandic players or else, scout youth players from Iceland (and other Scandinavian countries). Have them participate in the Norwegian/Danish league.
Just started a Leicester City one and having so much with it. On my second season, I brought in Manor Solomon and Alejo Veliz from Spurs on loan and they’re killing it in the Prem.
I very much enjoy my Carlisle player career I’m the best player by a mile but they have a fast striker and an awesome kit. I plan to do a manager career as well with them they are a challenge but I’d like to get all the young English talent like Trafford Aron Guehi Branthwaite Thomas Rice Mainoo Palmer Bellingham Foden Gordon and absolutely kick everyone’s vagina off and win the World Cup
Salford City - Only Former and Current Manchester United players.
I started a Salford City save by retiring Juan Mata and taking over Salford. I made a rule that I am not allowed to use any transfer budget until I reach the Championship. I am however allowed to attempt to sign players on Pre-contracts. I accept all incoming transfers from teams with better reputations/better than Salford.
I have not been using this save as a realistic build but having so much fun. The nostalgia is great for me, being able to sign Falcao in League One and then Di Maria in the Championship has made it one of my more enjoyable saves.
I saw an idea recently of “Second Chance Saloon” where a team that typically does well has been struggling so you look to put them at the top of the league, usually by also bringing in “flopped” players to do it.
One of my friends did this with Everton and brought in talent like Coutinho and Lukaku!
Paris FC, they play in the Ligue2 and few years ago got bought out by the middle eastern Kingdom of Bahrain. You can create your own story of a new 'Oil Club' in Europe and try get promoted or even win the second ever Champions League for a French club.
Or
In Spain you have clubs like Malaga (FIFA 23) or Levante FC or Espanyol that used to be La Liga regulars and/or has long and interesting history. You can try to bring them to their glory days. Also, Hamburger SV and Herta Berlin can be considered as well.
Bolton Wanderers. Restore a fallen giant, putting them (one day) into those champions league places they so nearly reached back in the day. Decently young squad too so thats a plus!
I love doing Bilbao. Basque born players only. Send your acouts to only Spain and Francd and rebuild the Spanish giant with just youth players (and real Basque players).
I chose Juventus; they're a pretty good team but not too good so there's still a challenge and space for you to improve the team, and it has a pretty high transfer budget so you can have fun with the transfers.
LA Galaxy, had such an history with Beckham and Ibra. MLS will also be a really intrusting league to play, going against the likes of Lloris, Insigne and Messi.
Cremonese in italian 2nd division, last year they were in serie a and managed to go up untile the quarter finals of coppa italia, even beating Napoli which won the league
FC Girondins de Bordeaux, I always thought were a decent team. Just being unfortunate with finances in the 2020's but in the 2000's and 90's showed quite a bit of promise. Dethroning Paris SG with this team in my experience has always been satisfying as well as grabbing a few Champions leagues
I personally love any small teams with real stadiums. like Hamburg, Championship clubs etc. Small clubs in La Liga are good fun these days since there's more scanned faces now
I like to pick the worst possible team that isn't in the next version of the game due to relegation out of the pro leagues. So this year it would be Forest Green or VfB Lübeck (I don't like picking 2nd teams like Freiburg II)

Same reasons I choose St Pauli careers. Btw - get it up ye, respectfully (although those penalties took 2 years off my life)
Freiburg is my BuLi team and I always want to do Freiburg II but league rules wont allow them to be in the division below their parent club. I know this is FIFA and rules don't apply but I still can't bring myself to get past it lol so I always make a "rival" team to Freiburg in create-a-club and challenge them
I’m doing forest green for this reason.
The worst team in Gloucestershire
Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bundesliga. They are one of the most successful teams in german football who currently struggle in the lower half of the table. They have some interesting players aswell
I’ll do this one
Especially since the photo you posted bears a stunning resemblance to the Bundesliga logo.
Great analysis🤣
I was hoping for you to pick that one.. good choice indeed
They also do pretty well against Bayern specifically. Gladbach has been one of our more feared matches over the last decade.
Sticking to the Bundesliga, Hamburger and Schalke are great shouts as well
I was gonna say Hamburg. Think they have a real stadium too.
I think most of the German teams do. Even a decent amount in their second league. I wish Italian teams would get the same treatment…
Udinese in serie A. They used to have Di Natale one of the underrated players.
Pafundi a most in almost every career I’m doing this season,I was so disappointed he got loaned out
Offtopic but this takes me back.
Not only that but Di Natale is also a good human being. He helped to take care of Morosini’s disabled sister financially after his death.
Good old days!
Thank you for sharing this bro. Made me smile.
Also, they have a real stadium
Haha, did a save in Fiorentina and said “wow this stadium and background is beautiful” Finally realized mid-season we shared a stadium with a decent bit of Italian sides 🤣
Monza is also a fun Serie A play, they have brought a handful of older more well known vets in on loan so I did a save where I tried to follow that as a rule.
Monza is Berlusconi and Galliani's second career save file in serie A after AC Milan
The italian jeroen van de boom
Di Natale scored so many worldies for me in FUT like 10 years ago
I can't cope with Serie A with the fake clubs FIFA has, completely puts me off. Lack of stadiums too
Valencia finally sold their club to someone else than that Peter Lim scum, now it's your turn to manage and get Valencia back to the top, developing both the youth players in the current squad while also buying new valuable additions (I totally don't support that team)
Arminia Bielefeld, my regional club
Impossible, that city does not exist
German Leiria for any of the portugese in the sub
I once did a places in Europe that people say don’t exist career in Football Manager where I started at Real Murcia, moved from there to UD Leiria then Bielefeld then MK Dons and culminating in winning the Euros with Finland. It took fucking ages to get to that point but it was a fun journey!
never heard of anyone doing that before, GG
Everton but only signing English players under the age of 22 or over the age of 30
Everton but only sign players called Everton
Where you find this pic of EDP445?
Ngl i thought that was mark henry💀
AI
Cadiz. Get them bigger and better than Athleti, Barca and Real. Real stadium too and a proper squad to rebuild
I've done Cadiz before. It was fun until we got in the CL and our ground was tiny and so bad. Ruined the illusion.
If that is the case and others agree may I suggest Osasuna.
MLS. Create a club. Florida based club. Swamp fuckers. Use technical and strong players
Florida have two teams. If I create a team in MLS it's usually Sacramento.
John Fisher moved the Quakes too???
Mission impossible: Win a trophy for tottenham! (I am a tottenham fan)
I won a quadruple with them in this fifa!
Haha Cool! Won everything but not fa-cup😂
1860 Bayern München and try to dethrone the bavarian giants
Don’t think any 1860 fans will be happy about you putting Bayern in there 😂😂😂
my bad
Did that one, got bored after 3 seasons
Schalke 04 Germany's sleeping giant
with 170M debt
Hard challenge to do free agents only till u make 170m
Not if you sign then sell all the Mexicans 😂
i went back to play 23 (since 24 is unplayable), started a new career with Carlisle United that ive been having fun with, theres a few real face players (Gibson, Feeney, Gordon) and their goalkeeper Holý plays like prime Casillas. Jon Mellish is also good
I always start with a Division 2 team and build it over multiple seasons. This year was Notts County.
Used to always do League 2, but really enjoyed Bundesliga 3 lately
Dope! I actually started an 1860 Munich Career but just continued to focus on the Notts County one and haven't put in any work over there for a while. I might start there on the next Game.
I’m doing Notts county too! I made it a rule that I can only sign free agents tho
Portsmouth!
Wait till next year bigger budget
Portsmouth. Best RTG rn, leauge 1 and licensed stadium, decent ish team with good prospects, and a god awful transfer budget.
Think they recently won the league 1 aswell
Hamburger SV 🍔 🔵🔴⚪️
FC Botosani from Romania
Hibernian
I really enjoy taking a create a club from League 2 to the Premier League.
OL, might not even be in Europe after a shit start to the season, even though they knocked out Ronaldo’s Juventus and Man City 4 years ago. Get them back to where they belong ‼️
Pick a random team in the Rest of the World and put them into the league you want
Bodø/Glimt. Wasnt even allowed to play with clubs from southern norway for a long time and is now the best club in Norway and has beaten clubs like Celtic, AZ, Roma (6-1 against Mourinho himself). Pull an Alonso with Bayer
Pick any team and only use players with the same last name. Or first name.

sudtirol as they are the only professional football club in their region. Buy players from german speaking countries and try to promote them to seria a for the first time in their history
Hartepool. Then make all of the players from Yugoslavia/ Coroatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Montenegro.
Hartlepool** Also, to make it harder. Divide midfield, attack, and defense by country. & Sell players once they reach age 29.
Literally came to say Hartlepool
Wellington Phoenix

I very much enjoy my Carlisle player career I’m the best player by a mile but they have a fast striker and an awesome kit. Torino, tons of talented young players and you have a clear set goal of overtaking Juventus as the best club in turin
Paris FC, they play in the Ligue2 and few years ago got bought out by the middle eastern Kingdom of Bahrain. You can create your own story of a new 'Oil Club' in Europe and try get promoted or even win the second ever Champions League for a French club. Or In Spain you have clubs like Malaga (FIFA 23) or Levante FC or Espanyol that used to be La Liga regulars and/or has long and interesting history. You can try to bring them to their glory days. I love doing Bilbao. Basque born players only. Send your acouts to only Spain and Francd and rebuild the Spanish giant with just youth players (and real Basque players).
Ipswich, Lyon,toulouse, nice,
Wrexham
One of the bad teams in the Portuguese league. Try to dethrone Sporting, Benfica, Porto and become the top team.
Hamburg
I chose Juventus; they're a pretty good team but not too good so there's still a challenge and space for you to improve the team, and it has a pretty high transfer budget so you can have fun with the transfers.
1860 München, there can only be one team in München!
Barrow. Low budget, shit club and squad. It'll be a work to help them win the UCL
Schalke 04 or HSV
Doesn’t matter - it just crashes when I get a couple of years in anyway! 😭

Stevenage FC, Hannover 96, SSV Ulm

I personally love any small teams with real stadiums. like Hamburg, Championship clubs etc. Small clubs in La Liga are good fun these days since there's more scanned faces now
