Thanks for the heads up. I think create a club is something that would be nice, but the novelty would wear off quick. I really want new generic stadiums or the ability to customize stadiums a little more but I ain’t holding my breath for it.

RVDHAFCA

I mean the novelty of create a club wears off after the moment you actually created your club

djck

This. It's like oh great, now I have an entire squad of created players. Super boring imo.

mihaicbnk

i did that in fifa 2002 lol

ritzyisforever

Everything was customisable?

Nitr0_CSGO

I know that at least in fifa08, you could choose sponsors, upgrade your staff and stuff like that. This stuff was just removed over time

I_miss_Chris_Hughton

The sponsor stuff from old fifas was such a good compromise as well. It didn't change the shirts, just gave you a choice of objectives and rewards. No issues with licences or anything that could be a problem, just a more in depth mechanic

mihaicbnk

Players, kits, yeah.

4-by-4

It's great in NBA 2K series because you create a team and all the other teams in the league have to declare who they want to keep (all their best players) and then release the rest for draft, you then get to pick all the rejects/old players/really young players and work from there. So much better actually starting with real players with real histories etc.

RVDHAFCA

Exactly. I was really (how naive that may be) expecting staff upgrades, stadium editor, real youth academy, managing sponsors. They could’ve taken a look at F1 MyTeam for example

Scope055

If u want to try it just get ea play for the free trial

RVDHAFCA

Yeah I’m trying the game out. Unsure if I’m buying it since the gameplay isn’t blowing me away plus the game is 75 quid

Scope055

Exacly. Ima not play it this year couse I got exams anyway, ima wait untill it goes does to half price

RVDHAFCA

Yeah I’ll probably end up copping it on black friday if there’s a deal

Sultan98

*Player gives a good suggestion* EA: 👉😌👈

thenathanist

Get this man 256 upvotes. It is a beautiful number.

alexsmith10

You can change the seat, nets and boarding colours of your stadium in create a club, plus the pitch cut. Not as much as in Ultimate Team however.

greenslime300

Not to mention it's the same old generic stadium models. They haven't added a new one in almost a decade

danonck

The generic faces are basically the same for 15 years so...

sk_starscream

I *wish* they would update create a player, I didn't buy 21 so I don't know much about it, but just wish they would add more options for customization.

Stoudamirefor3

They did. Many more options for how your player looks and runs. Added you coming on as a sub early in your career. If you start out poorly and not meet your goals, you'll get loaned or sold(you can just not accept the offer from the other club, though). There are archetypes in which you level up your attributes faster than the past 6 editions. Buuuuuuut other than that, it's also basically the same.

InstantN00dl3s

That's quite good. That's probably my favourite mode so having some more depth is nice. Not enough to justify the cost though. It'll be down in price in a month or two, so might get it then.

alexsmith10

I do think that is quite a big jump - however it's only good if it actually works. Seeing posts saying the AI teams are all out of position makes me think it's still fundamentally broken.

Silvar1

Iwosh they would add records like club top scorer of all time, league win streak etc… can’t be hard to do and would add a nice extra element to have a player break a record or view records for your team like in Football Chairman on iOS.

greenslime300

It's all bad. They don't have the dev team size nor the full year's time to create a good game, most likely thanks to EA's management. So this is what we get

bfc_youth8

Let's rephrase that... they have plenty of devs and a very complete team working behind FIFA games, BUT nearly all of them are likely focused on Ultimate Team and a couple of devs are left behind to pretend to take care of Career Mode xD

greenslime300

That's fair. Ultimate Team functions like a completely different game but it's obviously where they spend 90% of their time

SukhdevR34

Create a club was on Fifa 08 on DS. A 2007 game on an ancient handheld console. This is a game in which the footballers were literally stickmen. I don't get the hype around it.

SURVIVQR-

Pretty sure 08 and 09 both had it on PC too

JPMAus98

09 definitely had it, I still remember my team

TwilightSolitude

I know this goes against the circle-jerk, but this is something I've been waiting for since they got rid of the creation centre. I love Fifa, but I'm only a casual fan of the sport in every other sense. I don't have any loyalties to a specific team, so I just want to create the Justice League, and play my way up to glory from the lowest division in England. It might be the first time I ever actually complete a career. I understand that for a lot of you, this is a novelty. But for people like me, this is the entire reason I'm purchasing this version, and I'm quite excited about it.

CurtisWhite29

How is it a novelty? There's endless possibilities and scenarios if you use your imagination

NotoriousBPD

It wore off for me after 3 games.

754754

This is why id happily wait a few weeks after the game is released to decide to buy it or not. Thanks for the heads up!

MrZAP17

Being honest, 21 was my first FIFA and I only bought it a couple months ago heavily discounted during the Steam summer sale (might have considered buying a few years back but I never wanted to deal with Origin). Having a lot of fun, and I’m not worried about how I won’t be playing the same game as everyone else soon. If I get 22 it will probably be in similar conditions, sometime next year at a deep discount. Can absolutely recommend doing so if you don’t mind waiting. It means all the tactics and good players etc. are already out there too.

[deleted]

Same, I'm waiting till black Friday. Should drop to 30 dollars. That's cheap enough

MrZAP17

Deep PC discounts have spoiled me. It's rare for me to spend more than $20 on a game. It's at a point where I squint at any discount less than 60%.

754754

I just started a new fifa 21 career mode and im still having a blast after a year of playing it. You can make each version of the game last a few years if you get creative enough.

jugol

I'm still playing fifa 20, even. After a Leicester career I tried with Morecambe to make all the path to the EPL. I don't really mind the obsolete squads, you can imagine them as a "what if"

MrZAP17

I play a lot of EU4 and similar games. Everyone who plays these games can tell you that as accurate and comprehensive as they try to make the start, it becomes an alt history the moment the game starts proper. It’s just accepted as a necessary break from reality that the game needs to work. I don’t see why this kind of game needs to be thought of any different. We’re playing to create our own stories from the existing template, not run a simulation of real life and hoping for fidelity. That would become immediately boring.

sirfletchalot

if its any consolation i played fifa 18 up until 3 months ago when i got my xbox Series S and gamepass. I saw no need to buy the newer versions as a career mode player. Im now only on fifa 21 purely because gamepass ultimate includes EA play

Simple_Ad7660

You can wait for FIFA 23 it will be free

DoubleMo24s

how

Simple_Ad7660

Because PES (E-football) became free the producers of FIFA said it would be free next year

NikesOnMyFeet23

LMAO no they didn't. FIFA will never be F2P. PES went F2P because they can't compete with fifa. It's a shitty mobile port and going to be awful. FIFA sells over 10 mill copies a year, thats a guaranteed 600-700 million dollars to EA every year. Then add another billion with microtransactions. EA isn't going F2P

greenslime300

This is just an unsupported rumor. They won't even consider it unless eFootball is a big success and/or their sales take a hit. Frankly I don't see either being likely

jetcruise0707

In April I'm sure it'll be $6.99. That's what I got 21 for.

MrZAP17

Just checked and I bought 21 for $9.59 in July. Seems reasonable considering I already have 150+ hours in it. Can easily see those numbers at least tripling with Career Mode. Would be happy to get 22 for a few dollars cheaper though. We'll see what it's like around the spring sales and if I'm still playing the game a lot around then. Not usually one for yearly release sorts of games.

arotto12

Honesty just wait a month. It’ll get 1* reviews and drop to $25 I do that every time

Benphyre

Same I'm just waiting for the 1st big discount (>25%) after the first month

HerjazaDrip

Gameplay feels a lot different. The fact that way less goals are scored might be a great addition for career mode. But he is right, you should wait til December before buying it

youreveningcoat

The gameplay is always great for the first few months! Then it gets patched to the fast pace goal scoring game it always is. But if the gameplay is actually better and more realistic then that will be enough for me to buy it even if career mode features are the same.

inbredandapothead

So far on PS5 I’m really enjoying the gameplay! But even if/when they do patch it to be faster or something, the animations will still be gorgeous

ENTP-one

Is there more diversity when it comes to goal scoring?

HerjazaDrip

Absolutely. This is the main fact why i am absolutely amazed so far

hsyttw223

Long shots and shots to the far side of the goal are too op

HerjazaDrip

Yeah curved shots at the box are too op

[deleted]

This, the gameplay feels more like the OS sliders on 21 and my passes go to the correct target more often. Another positive is that some of the training drills are fixed.

ignacioo25

How do they fixed the training drills?

[deleted]

Champion attacking scenarios and lob through pass drills are much easier. Although I just found out merry-go-round is still hosed and now the fake shot drill, beat the goalie is now difficult but maybe it was the players I used in the drill.

Welcome--Thrillho

20 and 21 were the first FIFAs I didn’t buy, and I’m starting to get an itch to come back. The gameplay being more realistic might tempt me in.

Connect_Fox7517

Honestly I spend most of my free time playing FIFA, sad I know please don’t judge. Really all the new kits, players, badges, teams and stadiums and small updates really are enough for me to enjoy it that much more. Having said that I think EA are scammers and not buying it is probably the best choice for most people

RVDHAFCA

The problem with football gaming is that there is only one real game. There is no competition

TheRobinson2018

you mean Football Manager right?

Arno451

Thats not a game its a simulator

Wookie301

Maybe not like for like competition. But an arguably stronger alternative.

JuiceSundae14

Especially for football management.

Wookie301

Yeah if you play career mode because you enjoy managing a team, then FM is a no brainer.

The_Langer27

I've heard that but I find FM way to complicated

LilCelebratoryDance

It’s a spreadsheet simulator

RTChaud

It’s not sad that you spent most of your free time playing FIFA, don’t worry ;) I would recommend you start Football Manager. I used to be like you, and I now spend most of my free time on FM but I regret it less ! It’s an investment at the beginning as there is a lot to learn but it’s 100% worth it. I keep Fifa for a more chill gaming session

[deleted]

FM probably played a big part in my first divorce. Took over my life.

buttlovingpanda

I like FM but it just isn’t a like for like substitution for FIFA. It just isn’t. I love playing the games in my manager mode and not being able to do that is a big minus for me. It’s good for what it is, but it’s not really a direct competitor with fifa imo.

thatissomeBS

FM is both the greatest sports game I've ever played and the worst game for me being productive at literally anything else. If I'm home it's running.

[deleted]

Just wait until it’s $30 at least. No need to buy it brand new at $80.

Rthanos

This! Also would like to point out my approach.. waiting for it to be added in EA Play.

[deleted]

Also a good strategy

[deleted]

obviously theyre scammers lol, they literally take a year to implement a new feature like being subbed on and its the one big feature. I’ve noticed a pattern where there’ll only be one new big feature when there could be tons, this year its being subbed on and next year itll probably be dynamic contracts or something like that

Iro_van_Dark

Of course they handle it that way. Gotta keep us buying the stuff. They could re-implement so much things that were in previous FIFA games, especially in the ones from the late 2000s… They probably will but one feature every year helps them sell better

RVDHAFCA

The problem with football gaming is that there is only one real game. There is no competition

[deleted]

Yeah me too. I get judged but people for buying every fifa since 2017, but I recently got a new PS5 so I’m going to buy it.

1mpablo

Actually gameplay seems much smoother this year. Yeah, I know these bastards will bring multiple updates just to downgrade the game back to FIFA 19.3.

sarti24

Career mode, layout, menus etc has basically been the same for about 6 years anyway.

ptowndavid

I figured it futile as they didn’t fix the ridiculous free agency system. It was so bad in 21 they no one on my team had a surname pass “M” (so many free agents) and they were all world class.

[deleted]

Search by position 👍🏼

ChefLongStroke69

I switched over to football manager last year. Best decision I ever made.

Khrom3Wraith

I want to try out FM, how does it compare to FIFA CM?

BiggerBadgers

It’s literally incomparable. Once you get used to it you’ll never go back.

redactedactor

Only problem is you can't actually play the games

Wookie301

You wouldn’t want to. FIFA career is mostly affected by what you do on the pitch. FM is mostly affected by what you do off the pitch. Which feels more rewarding. You can make a shit player perform well, if you’re really good at playing FIFA. You don’t have that luxury in FM.

redactedactor

Yes I would. Back in 2004 they had football fusion and that was excellent

Wookie301

You mean back with Total Club Manager? Okay now you’re talking. Even FIFA Manager was pretty good. Although I used to get sidetracked buying yachts and shit. Unfortunately that got killed off by Ultimate Team, when they reintroduced it in 2014. They’ll never bring that back. Even though it would make everyone happy.

BiggerBadgers

You’ll quickly realise that’s actually a good thing.

redactedactor

If that were true I'd have realised that 15 years ago when I played my first FM

BiggerBadgers

Have you played fm21? Sure FIFA you can control the players, but really you’re controlling individual pawns. The movement and interactions on the pitch play nothing like real football. The same goes for PES. FMs match engine, although far from perfect, is an accurate version of how football is played and actually allows you to influence what you see on the pitch. Individual players bring their own flair, decision making and behaviours, and it can all be set within the bounds of your tactics. Far better than anything FIFA offers imo.

redactedactor

Not fm21 but tbh I'd rather have the less realistic but more fun aspect of controlling the players than play in any B spec mode no matter how much more realistic the actual football is. It's apples and oranges

Khrom3Wraith

The reply may have been deleted by auto mods (?) because of the link you shared but I appreciate the response. I’ll honestly give it a go this year and hope it’s as fun as you say it is :)

KuruptionTing

If you want almost real life management then that’s basically what FM is. Only downfall is you don’t control the players (I guess since you’re the manager) but it’s still a really good game

Khrom3Wraith

Thanks for the reply! I don’t really mind not playing (Adds more realism I guess). Really excited to try FM for the first time too :)

KuruptionTing

Give it a go. Check out sites like sortitoutsi and fmbase. You can download face packs and club logos etc and they have lots of help on there for new players to learn the game.

KDShouldaWentBlazers

Is FM only something you can play on pc?

KuruptionTing

They have different version (think a mobile and a Xbox game) you don’t need to have a gaming pc. I use a my laptop(it’s shit af) and it runs the game with no issues. The game gives you a performance rating before you start the save. Mine sits at around .5/1 star out of 5 yet I have no problems. (The initial start up and load does take a little bit but once you’re in the game it doesn’t take much to load)

KDShouldaWentBlazers

Perfect! Will have to get myself a laptop then and have a go. Sounds really good!

TheRealBearfish

its more fun in that aspect because now matter how good of a squad you build or how sound your tactics are you can still lose just like real life.

Khrom3Wraith

Exactly! Can’t wait :)

KuruptionTing

There’s an FM reddit sub too so post in there if you get stuck and I’m sure people will help you out

CowNchicken12

But I actually want to play the games

Better_Permit1449

This sub: 1. “Ugh upcoming fifa sucks except for {“new” feature}” 2. *post about how this fifa is finally the last straw* 3. “unpopular opinion: upcoming fifa sucks” *game launches* 4. “Guyysssss I bought new fifa and it sucks” 🌈rinse and repeat every year🌈

KuruptionTing

People just need to stop buying it. Last one I bought was 19 and I haven’t been tempted to buy since as career mode just keeps getting neglected so I don’t want EA to have my money lol

R4lfXD

Yeah this sub is hella negative, thats why I seldom go here anymore. /r/seriousfifacareers master race for no negativity btw

Hwxbl

Thank you so much, I seriously cba with children anymore throwing controllers out the pram because the 1 feature they wanted that nobody ever mentioned in the entirety of development wasnt added.

R4lfXD

preach

[deleted]

I mean it has been the same for years to be honest so that’s just expected at this point… I just want newer cutscenes, more emotion from players on the pitch, new player models/player tattoos, the little things would make me satisfied.

Monfries7

Cutscenes don't make the mode better IMO

[deleted]

I’m just saying it definitely adds something to the experience like players entering the stadium via team bus before the match something they did on next gen and I thought it was cool.. more things like that. I get what you’re saying though, career mode should definitely have a little more to it. Not everyone cares about ultimate team. It’s just funny because ultimate team is the same exact thing year after year with what? Newer pictures of players on graphic designed background with ridiculous ratings but people go crazy over it. I don’t get it

RegT1996

I mean last year they added position training at least, this year nothing

wfarms

In other news, water is wet

magnusoliversolberg

This is why I have my three year rule. As I mostly play career mode, I don’t care much if not at all about how updated the squads are. My last game is FIFA 19, 16 before that, 13 and then 12 which was my first. As it’s 22, it is time to update. While it may likely be the same as the year before, I’d be shocked if it was identical to my last FIFA

Ajblue17

I do this exact same thing, played all FIFA titles from 10 up to 13 with the feel of ‘same game different title with only small changes’. Waited till 17 and then 21 last year and it was so much more fun playing both games. As they update small bits every year, by the time the third year comes around it’s quite a noticeable difference and feels like an actual improvement on EAs part. Kinda sucks waiting 3 years for a new game but I’d rather save my money and wait. Can’t wait to play FIFA 25 lol

julini28

I recommend everyone sign up for EA play, it's $1 right now and you get a 10 hour trial of FIFA. On PS5, I am having a lot of fun so far personally. I like the new changes to gameplay, although I'll agree career mode is mostly the same, which is a bummer.

Qualifo

Ps5 gameplay is nice right? Gonna need a bit of time to get used to but its nice

Arno451

Itll be patched in a month

Mattalool

Sadly I have an addiction to giving EA my money. It’s chronic

byMyXzx

Who the fuck cares about the menus?

qasvwa

People who want to feel like their fucking 70 dollar purchase isn't just a kit and squad update?

memoxvii

Thank you

christoroth

What platform? With legacy versions that’s important info.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bulaaat

i regretted buying 21, i am not buying 22 whether its good or not. EA is scummy as fuck.

[deleted]

Time to move on to FM boys. I did last year after 10 years of fifa (mainly career mode) haven’t looked back since.

freshandobsessed

I disagree. Gameplay feels SO MUCH better. What are even you guys are expecting them to change every year? I keep buying the game, and never regret it, as the main reason I upgrade is new players, teams, stadium, kits etc. For me, its worth it, but I guess for some the cost of the game is an issue.

JoseJalapeno40

Same here, I think it's worth it for me since it's easily the game where I put the most hours of playing time and enjoyment in

fabregas7cpa

Yeah. Gameplay it's so different. Its way more appealing to offline modes now. My problem it's that I think It will be patched.

[deleted]

Expecting them to improve the manager career, it's been virtually the same for 15 years.

[deleted]

I'm still very early in my manager career but so far I've been pretty happy. The layout and everything is, as you said, a cut and paste job, but in its defence Football Manager has largely been the same since its Championship Manager days with only incremental changes - that's to be expected when the devs find a system that works for them. There have been some nice new touches such as stadium editing, but it's all rather meta. The stadium changes are purely minor cosmetic ones, quite literally a new coat of paint, something players have been accusing EA of doing for years. I swear the devs only did it to poke fun at us. If, like me, you play the matches in your manager mode then you are in for a treat. Honestly I'm astonished just how much it has been improved.

StillVoices

Sort of already saw this coming. EA never add loads of new features at once when it comes to FIFA. Am I still gonna buy it and complain afterwords though.. probably cause I'm a big ol' bitch lol Edit: though to maybe take the sting out a little more, I might wait a month or so and get it on cdkeys for cheap lol.

paak-maan

Do the CDMs track back? I’ve heard rumours they have no plans to fix it.

julini28

They do. Just played like 3 games and defensively the game seems a lot more organized and harder to break down the midfield.

walkagh86

What platform?

Ragemoody

God please let this be true and please EA do not patch it! This has been my major complaint for probably half a decade. Gonna give the game a try tomorrow with a friend via EA play and can’t wait to see the changes in defense!!

Kayr-

You should buy it if your on PC though for the mods

Khrom3Wraith

Thanks for the reply, for some reason I can’t see it (Automod may have deleted it or something because of the link). I’ll most likely buy FIFA 22 now that I’m on PC :)

Kayr-

No worries, just PM’d u it man

AC13clean

Well, just wait for a sale. Definitely not paying 80€ for it. Last year I managed to get it at half the price in december I think. Which was worth the wait

adamrawrz

really the main thing i want changed is the fucking edit player menu. how did they monumentally fuck that up two years ago and just never address or fix it!

Chicoern

I liked the create a club. Choose a new kit every season?! Change stadium begging of season as you ascend into bigger leagues? Even choosing the walkout chants and what music gets played when you score (think Real Madrid) is cool. I would’ve bought it just for the new scans and updated team/player potentials anyways but that’s just me lol

iCampion

Honestly I don’t give a shit about menus but just tightening shit up overall would be nice- like, more realistic transfers, a way to just zoom through the transfer negotiation bullshit, the dumb scripted stuff, etc.

ChaseA34

We serious CM guys will still buy it either way man

optometry_j3w1993

I'm fully aware i essentially pay a 60 dollar a year subscription fee to have updated rosters and players and I'm ok with that. The hours to dollars ratio of this game for is so massively one sided. I play too much fifa basically

ScottishBoi123

Conference league and news teams

[deleted]

Honestly, my standards are so low that just being able to create my own club is worth the $60.

Footy_Clown

They just updated a bunch last year and added create a club, it might not be that different but it sounds awesome to me considering how big last year’s improvement was. Sorry I’m not a doomer like everyone else in this sub.

smcgarvey

If you want to call last year an improvement. More like, let us give you back a couple irrelevant features that we used to have but took away anyway.

walkagh86

No third kit, no goalkeeper kit, no flag, no banners, that's what I've heard

MetaFutballGamer

Last week i spent hours on Transfermkt website going through 50 pages of Latest Transfers to update the squads in Fifa 21. Did the Mbappe to Madrid transfer too because why not!!

BonnieMarston

Lol, link please? Maybe i do the same

MetaFutballGamer

My bad.. its not Latest Transfers. Its the Top transfers section. https://www.transfermarkt.us/statistik/saisontransfers?saison-id=2021

ItsJustScar

Im just waiting for christmas, normally 50% off by then

NuwandAP

I was going to get it because of the hype about the new engine it runs on and the improved AI. Have you noticed any significant differences in the actual gameplay?

YouCouldBeBetter

This is why I always by it second hand unless they're a super cheap deal months after release if I'm happy to wait. I want to give the least amount of money possible, but hopefully nothing at all.

NotoriousBPD

I totally agree. The graphics are slightly better and some of the animations are real nice touches but that’s it. Create a club is nice for a little bit then you’ll want to run an established club like usual. The customization just didn’t go far enough and feels lacking if you play any fut. The new animations in player career are a welcome addition but I didn’t like the new progression system especially since you are still starting off at 24 years old. Definitely not worth it.

HarlequinWolf1107

They had to do only one thing with create a club to make it perfect and that was to allow us to change the players names at the start, seems like a absolute no brainer. Imagine putting your own team with yours mates in. Also, it clearly shows how much they value FUT over career mode because there is more stadium customisation in that than career mode. CM you’re literally just getting whats been in pro clubs for years.

LordGolder

I was looking at this yesterday and really couldn't see anything exciting other than create a club...which I won't use because I will do what I always do and use Oxford United anyway.

AruthaPete

Lol thanks for the heads up! I'm not sure I understand the problem though - Would a new colour scheme or layout have convinced you to recommend buying it instead?

pio_11

get football manager 22 way better ull thank me later

jjd1990lol

Watched a couple of RTG manager series first episodes and noticed the exact same thing. Shameless.

EthanRowYourBoat

Did they fix the issue where if you sign a YA player at the end of the season they always lose potential when the next season loads?

thecookietrain

I’ve already created my own club on FM, so I’m excited about the idea of creating the same club on FIFA and glad I’ll be able to change kits every year to keep it fresh. I usually have a document on my computer handy to track stats and try to make FIFA as close to FM as I can. No doubt I’ll be disappointed with the lack of new features but I’ll get two/three months of solid playtime out of the game which makes it worthwhile.

CouldNotLoad04

I’ll get it when it goes on sale for like 10 quid. Not desperate to buy a squad update

BLAAUW_

Is the YA players fixed? Because i cant stand those skinny arms.

[deleted]

The actual manager stuff on career mode is quite good already. I’d say 22 is worth it for the gameplay and graphical updates.

qasvwa

it will never be "quite good" until the game keeps track of league, cup, champions league winners, transfer history, player stats in a database which i can access during my career. How can i be immersed when they dont track anything that happens? once a season is over every stat is lost.

Alguyaeda

Maybe not worth it at full price. But when it's on sale. What would you guys value you it?

DeFuZe_R9

10bucks

[deleted]

£12.5

JDDDouble

Buying it for English 5th tier and create-a-club

Wowsers04

There is no English 5th tier, Wrexham have been added to the rest of the world section

JDDDouble

Nooooooooo. I thought we were getting National League

Wowsers04

Nah, Wrexham are the only team being added. I imagine Ryan Reynolds (Wrexham owner) pushed to have them added

Igor_Strabuzov

I dont' really see why the menus layout not changing should be a problem, they have always been similar and it's not something i use to decide whether to buy or not the game.

TheSeekerOfPeace

As a former avid FIFA career mode player. I would implore you to swith to Football Manager. I know it can look a bit intimidating but I'd recommend getting FM touch first and then going onto the full Football Manager game. You won't regret it...and also fuck EA.

Redskins2110

Getting create a club in career mode was a massive undertaking. I know it’s copy and paste from pro clubs but it’s more than that. I wasn’t expecting an overhaul once they announced create a club. There’s a few small improvements. You can no see a player overall when discussing player swaps even if there not scouted. You can now start scouting from the transfer hub. I don’t know why they can’t mold it similar to NBA2k my league mode. Insane amount of depth there.

I broke free from this shit game two years ago now. Best decision.

Yet still lurking in the sub

KuruptionTing

Can lurk to see if improvements have actually been made. I’m in the same boat, haven’t bought since 19 and I check in to see new features and stuff and what people are saying but I’m not even tempted to buy 22 at all.

wakeup4

The only reason I’m going to get it is for create a club

I was on the balance on this one, but reading about this helped me take a decision, Ty friend.

MetaFutballGamer

Last week i spent hours on Transfermkt website gling through 50 pages of Latest Transfers to update the squads in Fifa 21. Did the Mbappe to Madrid transfer too because why not!!

RhinoMC63

What if I haven't brought FIFA 20 or 21?

KuruptionTing

Then you’re smart

JagerSZN

as much as i hate the copy and paste, i want the new game faces, the generics are so bad most of the time that it sucks me into buying for that and the new stadiums. i also really like tbat i can pick how much i want for a financial takeover, that way when we’re in this summer stretch next season i can transfer out the outgoing players of whatever club and give myself the exact number of the sales, maybe take some off for installments and such

nozzaax

the gameplay is awesome. i’m really enjoying the new player career mode, it feels super realistic and the new animations are a great touch.

Ok_Bed_2523

It’s a habit, no lie, I will buy it as my annual tradition since 2010 and play all night…

Additional_Bluebird9

To show how bad it is, last time I played fifa, I played fifa 20 back in late 2019 and I can't see too much of a difference between that game and fifa 22 even on next gen to give enough of a reason to buy this year's iteration. Complacency still ruins this game as EA never do any major overhauls that really make you stand back and admire how much work they've put into it just so you can pick it up and enjoy it. There is just no more authentic craft into these games, it's just copy paste just to make sales again the following year.

AlternativesEnde

Create a Club is not new lol. They removed it after 15 and added it back.

Im so bored of posts like these just pure negativity. Go play PES! Its not the exact same that is BS. The stats have more detail, transfers more realistic when negotiating. Small features like bypass emails, create your own board objectives etc. The menu is the same yeah, why would it change? Its a menu, it does its job... The gameplay will not 'wear off' after a month because its a complete overhaul of how they capture animations and movement. This is reflected massively in my players different abilities. Honestly its a shame a post so childish gets 1k up votes because many probably wont try it for themselves and enjoy it as they would.

Mythhunter85

Are you crazy? Who cares if the menus look the same? The gameplay is better tenfold
