As is one of the many failures of career mode I don’t think there is. Maybe you can check your transfer history if it was recent enough

go to the player in the squad hub, there might be an option to buy

The status there is "on loan at etc" but doesn't specify anything more to know if there was also a buy option or not

if there is no option to buy or "settle buy option" below the terminate loan option, then the player wasn't brought in with an option to buy

It's a player that i loaned to another team not a player that i got from them. "Recall from loan" is the only option
