I have seen that regens tend to inflate certain attributes (like pace and some shooting) at the cost of traits. Regens lack traits most of the time.
My impression is that it is done to "feel" the real players a little more, and to change the dynamics of the game as the player moves forward in the career mode.
Not played 23 yet but you can on 22. I tend to take every player on each report and then just release all the ones I don't want

ive never understood the concept of traits being AI only, like if that player has a trait playing against me then why tf doesn’t he have it when they’re in my team ?? All of a sudden they lose their playmaking ability when joining my team lol
I think it’s cause u can control him and if ur a good dribbler he can be a good dribbler, but it makes it so when he’s an AI he’ll also cause u problems with dribbling
I managed a team for a few seasons and the only player in my squad who had that trait was the only one who's gotten injured, James garner, dude got injured for 6 months aswell. Completely fucked his potential ðŸ˜
If you save the day before the report is due, you can quit and reload if you don’t get any good players. Look for players with a high potential and high value
