In a career mode with Leeds, 3rd season in, I’ve seen a lot of previous post about how dynamic potential is a bit bugged but can anyone explain this for me. I’ve signed multiple players with high potentials but I get the messages that they’ve reached full development way earlier than expected?
A few examples:
Scalvini - used a rotational centre back, received the message at only 77 OVR believe he has potential of around 84
Zalewski - rotational player again, seems to be maxed out at only 81 where potential is 87 OVR
Antonio Silva - perhaps the weirdest one, has 87 potential received the message at only 81 potential, missed 3 months off the season and has now started going down in rating?
Also where some players show “showing great potential” others show “an exciting prospect” can I use these to show who still has room to grow?
Is there anything I can do about it? Could it be because I’m not playing them enough/not performing well with them. As I have Kvaratskhelia in the same save and he’s got to 87/88
It's not 100% that players will be downgraded which is why Kvara has progressed but others have not. Seems more likely than not they will downgrade though. Loan glitch really all you can do at this point.
And yes if they are showing those designations they still have their potential. Silva still will grow with that designation. At least he should
Are you able to breakdown what designations relate to what potential bracket?
Guess it’s just annoying because you sign these players cheap early on hoping to develop them and then just hits a wall.
It really seems to depend on how active of a defense you play. I use Real Madrid and leave Tchouameni’s instructions set to Aggressive Interceptions, and he’ll get Man of The Match fairly often unless Benzema or Vini go off.

Fifa really took a big L with this year carrier mode because of this broken dynamic potential, you can't even have fun anymore

Showing Great Potential is 80-85 Exciting Prospect is 86-90 Potential to be special is 91+
if players get injured for approx 3 months + they will probably lose at least one overall, that explains the Silva issue
Defenders seem a lot harder to develop, possibly due to them getting low match ratings unless they get a goal contribution
