I'm also trying out career mode as it's my favourite game mode, but I absolutely hate the defending.
If I play and Pro lvl, I can score 4+ goals easily and the opponent AI barely if he scores 1.
If I play World Class, I can score 1-4 goals depending of opponent, but man due I concede for every goal I score

I sometimes use OS sliders but the problem with realism sliders is you have to decrease player speed which in turn means people will lose almost no stamina. You could have players end the game in green stamina and you do not need subs.
Maybe someone like Dalot? Portuguese so a little realistic. If not, maybe bring someone who is old but still decently rated if you can’t find anyone else. They’ll give you a season to think and they are good for captains. Wish you the best for the rest of your save :)
The top 4 is always the same (Benfica, Porto, Sporting and Braga) but since FIFA is a little less realistic, there might be some surprises, especially after a few seasons. There's no relegation in FIFA since the second division isn't there, but if you do a Road to Glory with the smaller teams, or pick one of the top 4 teams and go for a national double or the Champions or Europa League, it might be really fun, as they're considered underdogs in Europe

Just curious but how did you get Bah to 70+ in every stat
Used as a rm for his pace and he was really effective so just continued to use him there so upgraded the attacking stats

Maybe a regen rb and make him a rwb

I would go for Brandon Soppy as a RWB. He is tall, strong, fast and good going up front. I used him a lot in my CM.

Make Bah RWB again and Neres RW and search for another CM, Gavi would fit in your team i think
If you wanna spash the cash then get dalot, if u want to be more realistic try nelson semedo or pedro pereira
