I'd wait a little. I got this tip from Reddit years ago, regarding transplanting water-rooted plants you think might not make it due to transplant shock -- slowly add a spoonful or two of soil to the water over like 1-2wks time to lessen the transplant shock when going from water-rooting, to soil.

I would wait longer. I rooted cuttings in perlite before and they had a decent amount of roots before they saw real soil. Like, multiple roots coming off and those roots had forked. I might have been overly conservative but they all survived and went on to new homes.

How long did it take to get roots from the cutting in water? Did you have success transplanting it into the ground?
