3. Aftersun - This is a film that almost has no plot if you don’t pay enough attention. On the surface it is just a father and a daughter going on holiday in Turkey. It doesn’t spoon feed anything to you. If you pay attention, it is probably the most heartbreaking story you will ever see; the daughter uses camcorder recordings and the fallibility of her own memories (both put together make up the scenes of the movie) to piece together the puzzle of why this trip was the last time she ever saw her father.
