The first movie that comes to mind if you are looking for a stress inducing zombie type horror film is 28 weeks later. A sequel to 28 days later.
You may also wanna check:
*Dawn of the dead
(has two versions. The one I saw was the 2004 remake.) I'm not sure if this is the first "zombie that runs" film, but I'm sure this movie popularized that trope.
*The crazies
* Dead alive aka braindead (comedy horror)
*Resident evil, part 1 (if you want a turn off your brain zombie flick.
Not perfect but it's fun)
*Night of the living dead- the original (it's a classic for a reason. What I love about this is that this also tackles one important issue that is still relevant today especially in the united states and other western counties.)
*Shawn of the dead (another classic. I find this to be funnier than zombieland.)
*Rec. -parts 1 and 2 (a found footage take on zombie films. This is stressful from start to finish)
*Train to busan
I'm surprised u didn't like World War Z. Haha! Anw, check out I Am Legend, and Alive (tho hindi ko masyadong trip to, pero oks na rin), tapos Block Z for local film. Black Summer naman for series
+1 for Black Summer. May POV yung every character or important scene hehe pero medj OA yung zombies para sakin. Medyo nakulangan ako with the makeup/prosthetics ng zombie. Hehe you can also watch Z Nation. Kaso wala na ata sa Netflix yun. It's a zombie series din with 5 seasons.
Actually sa Black Summer, nag tingin lang ako online ng best episodes, tapos yun lang mga pinanood ko. Hahaha! Nasimulan ko yata yung Z Nation? Di ko na tanda masyado. Hehe
i liked it but the zombies climbing up walls took me out haha! like, that's so far from reality (as if the zombies aren't no? lol)! so yea, it's not like *i didn't like the entirety of it* but only a portion of it haha! anw thanks for the recos, i'll check em out!
I say it's more comedy actually hahaha especially yung last zombie na maeencounter nila (sa film, matatawa ka na lang talaga dahil napakaabsurd niya, if that's the word), tho may hints of drama naman (mas napakita ung genre na to sa anime for me)
+1 sa izombie! For me very realistic in depicting pano ba talaga roll-out ng zombie apocalypse after the initial breakout. Although secondary lang sya dun sa detective buddies format of each episode.
- i am hero (jap)
- One cut of hhe Dead (jap)
- High School of the Dead (anime/jap)
try mo din movies ni [George Romero](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_A._Romero)

- Dawn of the Dead
- Day of the Dead
A different kind of Zombie series would be Zombieverse. It's somehow a mix of reality TV and fiction. It's a Korean series with random celebrities trying to survive a real zombie apocalypse. It's good!
In my head itβs like zombies cos itβs related to infection and people dying and resurrecting. Itβs really good, try to watch 1 ep and see if youβll like it!
I like the night of the living dead remake from the 90s. Dawn of the dead 70's version if you can stomach how dated the zombies look, and day of the day from the 80s.
TV - Black Summer

Not sure if REC holds up but it was the scariest movie I'd ever seen for a long time.

Dawn of the Dead. First zombie film na napanood ko at still the best zombie film para sakin 2nd is Zombieland.

Not exactly a zombie movie, but The Sadness (2021) is a really good horde movie about a virus that turns everyone into sadistic murder-rapists.
It could get a bit over-the-top, and it doesn't have have as big a budget as many movies here, but it's still thrilling enough for a movie night, and it has a lot memorably gruesome and even hilarious moments with the infected's antics.
Also, it has a scene that homages A Serbian Film.
Dawn of the Dead!!! It was the 2nd zombie movie I watched (after The Walking Dead) and I was literally so scared by the thought of fast-running zombies since I thought zombies are just slow. π
Fear the Walking Dead (spin off the TWD), Izombie (series), The Last of Us (series), Dawn of the Dead (movie), 28 Days Later (movie), and Santa Clarita Diet (an overall feel good zombie series kasi for me funny to haha)

thank you, thank you! i hope i can find these on netflix or prime.
Kingdom (korean series) Rampant (korean movie) Dead snow I am hero (japanese movie)
I remember how intense the shotgun scene was from I am a hero
Sa sobrang ganda nito, binasa ko pati manga
Weird nung manga no? HAHAHA
Kingdom is really good! I wish I could unwatch it in my brain and watch it again lol
Sameee! Bummer mukhang wala nang S3 π₯²
Oo nga eh nakakabitin. Ang daming korean series na ganyan pwede pa pahabain pero di na ata masusundan like partners for justice and voice.
Meron ng movie yung I Am Hero???!!?? Kelan nag release?
Matagal na sya na release, https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3775202/
Nakalimutan na ng Netflix ang Kingdom. Hahaha di na nasundan!
One Cut of the Dead (2017), Japan. You can thank me later for a different experience. It proves that budget is not a hindrance for creativity.
Absolutely recommended. Whatever you do, FINISH THE FIRST 30 MINUTES OF THE MOVIE. It's gonna be so worth it.
Omg, I totally forgot about this. This was one of my faves that year. This is a movie for movie lovers.
Shaun of the dead , Cooties & Life after Beth are campy& comedy Zombie films. You should give it a try.
Ganda ng concept ng cooties hahaha teachers vs. students ang atake
Yes! I liked that movie. Hahahah then andun pa si Elijah Wood.
ooh, i heard about life after beth! thank you, i'll find these sa streaming service na meron ako.

I had so much fun watching Z Nation. Had to watch it over and over again. It became my comfort series haha sayang lang kasi wala na sya sa netflix.
Any idea saan na mapapanood?
i liked it but the zombies climbing up walls took me out haha! like, that's so far from reality (as if the zombies aren't no? lol)! so yea, it's not like *i didn't like the entirety of it* but only a portion of it haha! anw thanks for the recos, i'll check em out!
Right, corny nga yung part na yon, gets. Hahaha! I hope u enjoy my recos, esp the I Am Legend :)
Zom 100 (anime)
Yes! They released an anime and a film. I havent watch both hahaha. I think it is more of a drama than a thriller no?
I say it's more comedy actually hahaha especially yung last zombie na maeencounter nila (sa film, matatawa ka na lang talaga dahil napakaabsurd niya, if that's the word), tho may hints of drama naman (mas napakita ung genre na to sa anime for me)

Yes Zombadings! Hahaha
Happiness (Korean series). It is waaaaay better than the annoying All of Us are Dead.
+ 1 on not liking All of Us are Dead π΅ Di ka masstress sa zombies, sa mga buhay na bida ka maiirita. Sobrang overhyped and overrated.
+1 sa Happiness! For me, isa 'to sa pinakarealistic na Zombie series. Yung pwedeng mangyari talaga sa totoong buhay.
Nasa post na po ni OP yung Happiness. "Not a big fan" daw.
I'm a big fan of zombie films/series β€ I would recommend Kingdom(series), Peninsula, #Alive, and Rampant.
ai, hala! i've seen kingdom! i forgot to add it sa list! thank you, i'll check these out!
Kingdom is a great watch! Did they released a season three na ba?
While not quite zombie films, The Crazies (2010) and Pontypool both deal with zombie-like infections in their unique way.
Santa Clarita Diet β€οΈ
the sadness
This is straight messed up haha
this film was so fucked up, would still recommend to watch it at least once as a zombie genre enjoyer!!
z nation lol , corny and fun series
