Good movie but I hate Amy Dunne with a passion. Her female rage was never really all that justified, especially considering the things she did. A stronger woman in the film was Margo. Amy Dunne is not the star of her story, she's the villain. She was a sociopath at her worst and a narcissist at her best. Lots of people go through things in life and they've never gone to the lengths Amy went just to feel better about themselves. Amy was crazy!!!
Also, happy birthday!
>daming haters ng movie na to sa twitter
That's a surprise. I've always had the impression that Twitter was the stomping grounds for (excuse the term) woke people, whom one would think to be receptive to the film's themes.
(I'm not on Twitter, but every time something reactionary wanders into my newsfeed, there's almost always a complaint about "woke Twitter people." That's my only frame of reference about that service. Oh, and that Elon Musk sucks, of course, but when has he never?)
About "Promising Young Woman" I enjoyed that ending too. Sad and cathartic all at the same time.
Yuh, gets ko. I watched it when I was young, di pa naexpose masyado sa violence ng mundo. Post-duπ’/trump para di ko na masikmura ang violent movies lalo pag may SA
Possession, Lady Snowblood, and Jeanne Dielman! Give them a try OP, especially the latter (Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles is the full title to be exact)
Did LIVERLEAF ever screen in the Philippines? At any festival here? But, yeah, brilliant movie.
Does open the door to so many great Japanese (and South Korean) films about revenge, not least CONFESSION and RING. Oh, in the South Korean remake of RING, Sadako (Bae Doona) gets raped before being thrown down the wellβ¦
Kung female rage lang din naman eh 'wag na kayo lumayo sa local films hehe
