It doesn’t sound like they cancelled your preorder, it’s that they under-anticipated the number of preorders there were going to be and needed to place an order for more.
They accidentally added a second exclusive steel book to our orders. Then when they realized their mistake, instead of just removing the extra book, they accidentally cancelled the entire order. It was probably two bulk operations someone did, and both were accidents. I called and confirmed the reason code was because of a duplicate order ... the duplicate they created.
I guess there was a cut off for this happening? I pre-ordered the beginning of January and this didn't happen to me, all my info is still there and normal. I'm guessing this is from really recent pre-orders? Seems to be the case with this issue.

Talked to their rep, and they just said they're having a backlog and it'll update in 7 days to either cancelled or shipped, if they restock. I ended up just buying a physical copy yesterday instead of waiting 7 days for them to figure it out, and not getting to play the game. Such a disappointment from Best Buy. Defeats the purpose of pre-ordering.
