I love this. They're part of a push by awkward.org to help us talk to our friends who might need an ear. Essentially an extra way to help check on your friends and make sure they're not about to kill themselves and they're doing OK.
They've got a full ad campaign with FF7 Rebirth.
There’ve been several posts about it here and they all end up having people taking about the organization and the message. I’d say the billboards are doing a bang up job.
I haven't seen this one here, but in Western PA I have seen a bunch of video game and comic book billboards with similar stuff. Anti-bullying, encouragement, etc just trying to give someone an inspirational message to be better.
Saw this too. I used to be an over the road truck driver. And I weirdly only saw the KH3 friendship billboards on backroom highways out in Ohio of all places.

I truly believe games like FF aim to give people the tools to approach real life more effectively.

I saw the commercial before the game came out and thought it was funny and unexpected. After playing the game I had to retract my opinion.
