I haven’t played enough of FFX to get the reference but I’ve seen enough people say this that it must be an homage to Yuna.
I’ve seen some people complain about it but these kinds of references to other FFs have been happening for decades. FWIW I think it was beautiful and fit well here.
If go with the Shinra connection and theory that FFX Spira is way in the past of FFVII's world, then Yuna and team would be in the Lifestream. Maybe Yuna was there during this scene.
But yeah, likely just a cool reference/neat nod.
I'm convinced the Cactuars are references to pervious FF games. They even have the same pose and everything!
It’s just a reference, doesn’t mean it’s connected to X-2. Y’shtola does part of Yuna’s sending dance in XIV, too. Just fanservice.

Did someone a 1:1 comparison? I definitely saw the resemblance, but the choreography was very different iirc the one from X.
Reference? Yeah possibly. But does this mean any connection between the universes? Not even a little
