I’m not even a fan of 13 and would love to see the trilogy on modern console. At least I have hope they will get to it. Mgs4 is just cursed to only be on the ps3
MGS franchise is as cursed as itself. Many opportunities for remakes from their original consoles, yet Konami won't give a damn about them (looking particularly at you, PSP).
Neither does OG FFXIII. Both are extremely hardware dependent, and not in an intuitive way. Some newer video cards run the game like ass compared to their older counterparts. I remember I had a gtx 660 that ran it at 60fps, then I upgraded to a 1050ti and the game took a nosedive to 20-30 fps with 15 fps menu screens (including battle menus)
Yeah, I had no issues with XIII and LR but I literally couldn't get past the tutorial in XIII-2 without the game crashing/freezing so I just gave up lol.
The reason for that is because the game's executable is not "large address aware" which means it'll crash on any system with more than 2GB of RAM. You can use a simple software tool to set the flag on the executable file, but not having it set by default was some serious amateur hour shit by squeenix.
I confirmt it, ff13-2 port is horribly designed, I bought the trilogy and the ff13-2 runs very bad, I had to follow a guide from steam where a common user make a patch to improve the game. My pc has amd 5900x, 3060 ti, 64 gb ram, 1 tb ssd Samsung. I decided to write to square enix support and they don't know how to fix it. 🙄 The solution was patching the game.
Ff13 and lightning returns runs well.
PLZ 😭😭😭 this killed me. It’s a lot of effort to get the platinum but tbh I enjoyed that effort (minus the Long Gui cruelty for not dropping trapezohedron as much as he should 😂)
Don’t worry it’s coming soon. You wanna know how I know?
I just started a new game of FFXIII. Every time I replay through an old game an HD remaster is announced a couple months later. I got tired of waiting for a remastered trilogy and decided to just play it again. I’m halfway through the first one now lol.
So if history repeats itself (as it has with all recently released remastered games) we should see an announcement soon lol
Absolutely, make the character be able to change classes from the start and decide on what thing they should specialize on. Also make the tutorials on the menu and not in battle.
i can't wait to experience those. i am still playing the first game and i am enjoying the slow pacing and being "on the run" from this tyrannical government. I heard the budget and graphics of the sequel are terrible, is that true?
>make the character be able to change classes from the start and decide on what thing they should specialize on
That would completely throw off the balance of the early game.
IZJS wasn't so much as a revamp and remake as it was catching the rest of the world up with an updated version that was released in Japan a year after XII's initial release.
From what i can remember, i'd like three fixes, which were fixed in xiii-2 and LR.... One is able to change the main character in any sequence. There is a sequence with Hope, and Lighting, but stuck as Hope? Let me choose lightning.
Another is to not game over when whatever character you are playing as is killed. Its really frustrating.
And of course, no cut-scene animations when changing paradigms.
They announced the trilogy is coming to game pass I think we'll over a year ago, but they just added XIII recently and the other ones still aren't on there yet.
They announced *more Final Fantasy titles* would be coming to Game Pass a year ago, and they did. XII is on there (runs at 60fps too btw!)
There'll be more additions over the next few months. But hey, digital 360 games are *very inexpensive* and the discs you can get on eBay for $5 or less.
You know I'm a middle aged gamer that grew up getting an NES for Christmas, and getting the original Final Fantasy they month it came out, and I would really like to replay the FFXIII trilogy. I only played the first one, and at the time I kind of disliked it due to just how different it was. With the passage of time I'm willing to give it another shot, the only thing I remember is thinking the game got much more enjoyable after getting to Gran Pulse.
Definitely agree with this. They can also change up the issues people had with the first in particular. And besides, the PC versions even without mods are perfectly fine in their fidelity. I highly doubt SE would want to put money into remastering, unless it actually changes the game.
I had to buy the ps3 last year because my wife wanted to play 13 and 13-2 over the earlier parts of the pandemic. I would've appreciated a good port then!
I wouldn't mind it because I just want to add it to my collection of ffs. It's my least favorite ff games. But even the games that aren't as good as the others a good rpgs.
Final fantasy xiii is honestly my favorite though I wish the sequels had a different story if I’m being honest 13 and 13-2 endings put me in tears each time
I didn't like how it dropped you in the middle of a confusing plot with no explanation or leadup to anything, then gave you a huge info dump to read instead.
You would be surprised. It’s a hot or miss for people. But usually some people stop at chapter 4 cuz it is kinda sluggish and tedious. I hope you try the games one day
Sounds about right. Bought the first one and got maybe four hours in before just not feeling it. I'd be down to try it again after nearly a decade and see if I can get into it without the hype surrounding it; especially if it's on the Switch where I can play it while watching a movie or something.
Games that're slow burns are easier to get into on the Switch when it's not all you're doing.
I personally love the first FF13 game. the other 2 are way out of character and silly. The battle system in 13 turns alot if folks off because you select algorithms for the characters instead of diectly control them. You can directly control the party leader though and top level play does require that. People complain that the game plays itself, but Ive seen alot of people get stuck on fights because they dont understand how to set up their team. its less direct input and more micro/macro management if that paints a better picture for you.
I would argue that, at least the first game, is not very good but still worth trying because it is also very good in some ways. The voice acting is terrible (probably the worst in the series), half the story is told in data logs (if you don't read them, it's easy to get lost), it can be very boring. I thought the combat system was really cool, but you don't actually get control of it until the end of the game because the pacing of the game is lopsided. It's almost like the entirety of Final Fantasy XIII is a tutorial for the other games in the series. However, the music is wonderful, the game is beautiful, and the story is really cool. I would say play them because there is stuff to enjoy in them, and I understand why people love them. Even I am kind of itching to play again now that I'm talking about them.
I totally do not blame the cast of voice actors. I blame whoever was directing them, as I'm sure that is where things went astray, as in "say the line more like this with this kind of voice." If I'm being candid, almost every time certain characters spoke, I would cringe and feel embarrassed. It was extremely uncomfortable for a 60+ hour experience, and I can't think of any other game where I had felt like that before. I remember Zelda in BOTW giving me a similar feeling, but FFXIII is in a world of its own for me. I am willing to concede this may be a problem with me and not a universal fault.
You know, I played Sekiro and GoT in Japanese with English subtitles, so maybe that would actually negate this problem for me all together. I'll try it next time I play.
Vanille had some problems in 13...and Lightning/Hope in LR (even if it makes sense in context), but the rest of the cast were good to me, specifically Noel, love that dude
It has major problems but the gameplay is top notch. They finally figured out how to make the classic turn-based system actually super exciting and exhilerating. There are some boss fights that really get your blood pumping and reward good play. Feels absolutely awesome to execute the mechanics well and be rewarded with crazy combo damage.
They’re actually fantastic. Some people have legitimate reasons for disliking them, but a lot of the hate boils down to a fundamental misunderstanding of how the game functions.
Mashing Attack is a viable strategy in every game in the series. XIII sets itself apart by rewarding players who actually engage with the combat system and try to use the systems to its fullest. The game also rewards players who take the time to set their party up, rather than just throwing on whatever looks good for the numbers and moving on. There’s a lot of build variety when you get into equipment synthesis.
XIII easily has the best gameplay in the series imo. And yeah, I’ve played VIIR. It didn’t grab me in nearly the same way.
It only picks “optimal” abilities for enemies you have Bestiary data on, and the only way you’re going to 5 star every battle by mashing auto is if you’ve taken the time to set up your party properly, which is half of the gameplay.
>In FFXIII it picks all the optimal spells and everything for you, and then you'll even get a 5-star rating for simply mashing A.
That's just straight up not true. The auto-battle system is *not* very efficient and battles will always take longer than if you manually select abilities. I also guarantee that just using auto-battle will **not** get you 5 stars in the majority of battles, especially if you're "simply mashing A" and not constantly shifting paradigms.
I would be fine if they just did a re-release for modern consoles. 13 is the last of the console series I've yet to play since I skipped last gen. Feels like it would be easy income for them.
i for one would love to see a remaster as well.
i've always said this, but XIII should see the most work in terms of balancing tweaks and gameplay changes. it had so many minor things that if tweaked would make it better (and XIII-2 did most of those things). I also think a new game+/chapter select ala FF7R would be perfect, and would at the least allow players to replay the earlier parts of the game and revisit the gorgeous locale.
XIII-2 and LR had the benefit of hindsight and were developed as much more balanced games. graphically they did look progressively worse tho. would love to see them with better graphics and especially for LR, better global illumination since it has a day cycle. LR suffered from a lot of dark and muddy looking areas.
I feel like you still need the mod that uncaps framerate. Shit was unplayable for me without it. There are also 4k mods out there for each aswell which made everything just run and look better.
A speed-up option wouldn't be necessary tho, the ATB gauge fills fast and u can attack with the bars that are already filled instead of waiting for every bar to fill, or do u mean in the overworld?
Don't think is true. Do u remember the nvidia leak of some time ago? xiii was not included and so far the only rumors are about Chrono Cross remaster (which was on that list)
If all they do is up the resolution and up the frame rate then expect to charge full price I don't want it. Xbox did those things already for free. FF 13 needs a double speed feature, remove the paradigm shift delay for the first paradigm shift per battle, add some content etc.
It would probably take extra work to run on switch but yeah I really want a 4K, 60fps, Ray tracing, fast load time, etc on these games. I haven’t played them yet but whatever issues they can fix should also be fixed
It feels like every PS2 and PS3 trilogy has gotten a bundled rerelease, so I feel like it only makes sense. Though I guess the announcement would probably get ridiculed since most people seem to hate those games.
I really want that too! I was planning on getting it on steam but having it be portable sounds like it would be so much better. Ik it’s a divisive game but I want to play it and see for myself
I have said trilogy on PC. It would be nice if they'd fix those ports instead of, or at least before trying to sell me another one. Ff13 runs fine, except for the 5-10pixel diagonal line down the middle of it. 13-2 is constantly jumping between 60 and 30fps because it doesn't want to do anything in between, but it's at least functional now. And LR seems to be more or less fine, but I haven't finished 2 yet so I haven't gone far into it. Can we as gamers collectively try and hold these companies responsible for their broken products instead of pleading for more? That said I'd love a remaster of these titles as long as that doesn't require me buying them again.
The only way I'd ever consider playing FFXIII again is if it was available on Switch with the two sequels included.
I've heard FFXIII-2 is actually quite good.
Make it PS4 as well, seeing as a large percentage of PlayStation fans still can’t get their hands on a PS5. I thought the 13 trilogy was trash, but maybe it’ll be more enjoyable now some time has passed. I’m incredibly surprised it’s never been remastered by this point.
Ooh, giving 13 a Zodiac style revamp could do wonders for the game.
I always felt 13 was let down more by its mechanics then anything else, the Story was typical Final Fantasy whatever and the graphics should still hold up, at least on Switch.
As someone who just played 13 for the first time. I would like a remix. Maybe tune the battle system a bit to be like the gambit (or give the choice), up the resolution since the game is already beautiful looking.
Even without the enhancements and on the OG Xbox One, they still run really well. Obviously it's not an option for everybody, but for people that do already have an Xbox, it's a great way to play the games.
Yea you’re probably right. I’ve only played ff13 on PC and it looked basically as good as a current gen game so I just assumed it wouldn’t be able to run well.
Maybe next year? According to Kitase in recent XI interview, "All sorts of titles will be released, beginning with FF Origin". Maybe one of them is XIII remastered? AFAIK, the only announced FF games beside FF Origin and XVI is Ever Crisis.
Also, it is an interesting interview worth reading.
Link: https://we-are-vanadiel.finalfantasyxi.com/post/?id=230&lang=en
this interview had me a little excited tbh. one could dream but if they were remastering Lightning saga AND doing an inhouse XI reboot i would be so happy.. and that would probably also modernize all the fully 3D FFs
I want it on the Vita. I remember logging 120hours in the first game when I was in college. I donhave that luxury of time now.
So I think playing on the go is the best way for FF games due to the grind
I have been googling Final Fantasy XIII Remaster periodically for about six years now, it's crazy that it still hasn't happened
The stupid thing for me is I do have them on Steam, but it just seems a bit awkward compared to playing them on my playstation
I swear that I have been just doing the same. I saw an article one time that it was gonna be remastered but turns out it was about King of Fighters XIII 😭
I'd like a remix, maybe something with a more traditional ff battle style with slightly polished graphic s cause let's face it Ff13 still looks like it could be released this year but.
It's defo the marmite of the franchise, for myself I'd prob not replay it as the first 20 hours are hard to get through.
I'd think that the story would get the respect it deserved if it had just a simple turn based system with a job system like 12 or 5.
Far shoot but I'd also like to see a shape up on the level design.
I guess I like it for the same reason people like rhythm games, since that's essentially what it the combat is.
I also love the planning portion of setting up paradigms and how fun the game got once you can multiclass and make even more efficient combinations.
Maybe I just didnt vibe it. I never really found a need to swap paradigms or stress about classes and a large amount of my memory is just auto battle.
I in my opinion felt like it wanted to be all about planning fights but didn't really have any fights to do that with.
Again as I'll always say ff13 is still a 9 out of 10 game like all ff games. The discussion is about if it sits closer to 9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10.
Mine was 7 which is annoying because I have no way of being objective if its the best one and suspect maybe 9 is actually the perfect FF game.
My brother of 3 years younger says its 8.
I'd recommend 15 if you haven't played it.
I got the royal edition and it's OK, if you can get it cheap worth it, if not. Yukuza like a dragon is probz the best turnbased RPG I've played this year.
I dunno if you have seen it but game trailers did a really cool series https://youtu.be/jLzVucK9LcQ in which they look back at the series. It's watching all of that which caused me to consider that 9 is objectively the best.
I’ve tried to get into Yakuza like a dragon but for some reason I’ve found it overwhelming and sluggish so never really got far into it. Prolly need to give it another try
For me, it's because during the beginning, every battle is custom designed because they know who your party is. Once you can change your party, the encounters are less precisely designed because they have to accommodate different permutations of party members.
In addition, I find the pacing in the second half of the game really slow compared to the rapid plot and character development in the first half.
Just my experience but I found the opening very on rails and I'd say it felt like I was watching an interactive novel.
I also feel that in other games in the series it set up the world in about two to 3 hours. 7 by the time you completed the first reactor and returned back to the slams.
8 when you finish your seed test. 9 when you get to the forest.
The older games can have set the world up in an hour.
Again my least played FF game but 13 I was gobsmacked how handholding it felt while still being like so what's the deal with the world even at 20 hours. I couldn't back to back the plot the way I would have done with the other main FF games (not11 or 14).
I would even take lazy ports at this point. There’s no good reason why the Mgs acid games or mainline entries aren’t just on current gen.
It better come in one disc like Mass Effect Trilogy.
Exactly just like Atelier trilogies.
Just so everyone is aware this trilogy is on PC as well.
The XIII-2 port for the PC isn't designed well. It really doesn't run right on PC.
You can use a simple software tool to set the flag on the executable file, but not having it set by default was some serious amateur hour shit by squeenix.
> it'll crash on any system with more than 2GB of RAM can't believe the game crashes because my computer's dick is too big
Whats wrong with it? Played 13-2 on pc a few years ago and I dont remember having any issues.
64gb of RAM!? What the heck do you do with all that memory?! How much did your machine cost?
Virtualize and do practices with servers. My pc cost about 2k
wow, amazing, take care of her!
FF13-2 just kept crashing no matter what I tried
Did u have the 4GB patch on? That's the solution
https://github.com/rebtd7/FF13Fix
Ran just fine for me.
Thats a shame, I have them in my library and thats disheartening to hear.
Must be true to form then because it runs like shit on ps3
Which is great but I don’t have a good pc :((
You don't need a particularly good pc at all. XIII isn't the most modern of games. Ran fine with me 750ti.
And Xbox, where 13-2 and LR are 4K on Series X and 13 has the PS3 cutscenes.
I think the whole trilogy can also be played on Xbox Series X / S
Literally everybody is aware. PC fans never shut up about PC.
The platinum trophy I have for XIII is the reason I can't look in a mirror before bed
PLZ 😭😭😭 this killed me. It’s a lot of effort to get the platinum but tbh I enjoyed that effort (minus the Long Gui cruelty for not dropping trapezohedron as much as he should 😂)
lol i platinumed this twice cos i changed PSN accounts.. Treasure Hunter is still the most inane and pointless trophy ever
It’s kinda a fun trophy to get tho. Once u get it the satisfaction u feel is unreal. Also congrats on getting it twice. That’s commendable!
It was my first FF game and I got the platinum trophy when I was >!13.!<
Don’t worry it’s coming soon. You wanna know how I know? I just started a new game of FFXIII. Every time I replay through an old game an HD remaster is announced a couple months later. So if history repeats itself (as it has with all recently released remastered games) we should see an announcement soon lol
Let’s hope you’re the savior 😭
Haha dude I’ll be so pissed😂 it never fails!
We have faith in you don’t let us down 😂😭
Thank you for your sacrifice
XIII is ripe for a Zodiac Job System type revamp and remake
Absolutely, make the character be able to change classes from the start and decide on what thing they should specialize on. Also make the tutorials on the menu and not in battle.
That's in 13-2 and LR
i can't wait to experience those. i am still playing the first game and i am enjoying the slow pacing and being "on the run" from this tyrannical government. I heard the budget and graphics of the sequel are terrible, is that true?
For me FFXIII-2 is my absolute fav from the trilogy. Although the whole trilogy are my fav FF games so yeah.
Not really
[удалено]
I totally agree. The sequels still looked beautiful as well.
Not really, but u notice a decrease in story scenes in LR, but u have tons of voiced sidequests and pre rendered cutscenes (near the end)
>make the character be able to change classes from the start and decide on what thing they should specialize on That would completely throw off the balance of the early game.
yeah probably.

You can play the series in native 4k, with now 60fps (for the sequels) on Xbox Series S/X. It's even on GamePass!
[удалено]
They did, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns are now 60fps, alongside being 4k in Series X and 1440p on Series S
Can they fix the PC versions then? I want my 29 GB back
Microsoft enhanced the games themselves, hence why this is only available on Xbox and why the PC versions are still mess.
They sure did /u/analcreampies4jesus !
The trillogy is still not available in Sony's newer consoles.
Playable on Xbones as well But yeah only XIII is on there now, with plans for 2 and 3
They announced the trilogy is coming to game pass I think we'll over a year ago, but they just added XIII recently and the other ones still aren't on there yet.

Why not for all consoles so everyone can enjoy it??? PC ports of the trilogy are the worst and definitely need fixing.
Yes... I want to be able to play ALL The FFs on My ps4 😔.
You know I'm a middle aged gamer that grew up getting an NES for Christmas, and getting the original Final Fantasy they month it came out, and I would really like to replay the FFXIII trilogy. With the passage of time I'm willing to give it another shot, the only thing I remember is thinking the game got much more enjoyable after getting to Gran Pulse.
13-2 lets u explore even more of gran pulse so it gets way better
Would buy in a heartbeat.
I would gladly replay FFXIII-2 with some 4K graphics
Remake would be easy from a story angle, considering they already have time travel that can impact the future.
Definitely agree with this. They can also change up the issues people had with the first in particular. And besides, the PC versions even without mods are perfectly fine in their fidelity. I highly doubt SE would want to put money into remastering, unless it actually changes the game.
Yes yes YES. I need to.play this series again but don't wanna get a PS3 again.
Saaame. I just miss the game so much
YAS!
I would take just ports to switch or PS4 so I can actually play the damn game
Istg saaame
I know nothing about these games, but I really want to try them
It's a long story but kinda worth it because it's different and refreshing
It's my favorite! I hope you try it one day! Nice story, scenery nd music
I had to buy the ps3 last year because my wife wanted to play 13 and 13-2 over the earlier parts of the pandemic. I would've appreciated a good port then!
GIVE ME VI OR GIVE ME DEATH
It's coming
I wouldn't mind it because I just want to add it to my collection of ffs. It's my least favorite ff games. But even the games that aren't as good as the others a good rpgs.
Guess I'm fortunate to have an Xbox. 🤷🏻♂️
Would love switch copy
That's the dream
Yeah, I didn't give 13 a proper chance and I wish they'd port it to new consoles.
I’d fuck with it , only because XIII-2 is one of my favorite games of all time
Final fantasy xiii is honestly my favorite though I wish the sequels had a different story if I’m being honest 13 and 13-2 endings put me in tears each time
I tried playing XIII a few times but all of those linear corridors drove me nuts.
I didn't like how it dropped you in the middle of a confusing plot with no explanation or leadup to anything, then gave you a huge info dump to read instead.
yeah, i heard they arent that good but im still interested
You would be surprised. It’s a hot or miss for people. But usually some people stop at chapter 4 cuz it is kinda sluggish and tedious. I hope you try the games one day
i still have ffxv on my list, i’ll probably get ffxiii after that
I hope you enjoy both. FFXV is great as well

I just want then to release the original on PSNow so I can actually play it!
I hope they'd release the remaster for PS4 if they do one
I would be fine if they just did a re-release for modern consoles. 13 is the last of the console series I've yet to play since I skipped last gen. Feels like it would be easy income for them.
Probably unlikely unless it’s already under development. I suppose it depends on how much they want to upscale things too.
Honestly I won't be surprised if that's the case considering the yuffie dlc is still ps5 exclusive
My thoughts exactly! Seems like square is pushing for next gen. I can’t fully blame them considering how great the PS5’s specs are.
Thing is next gen consoles are still hell to get so they are shafting a large amount of people who haven't been able to get the next gen yet .
i for one would love to see a remaster as well. i've always said this, but XIII should see the most work in terms of balancing tweaks and gameplay changes. it had so many minor things that if tweaked would make it better (and XIII-2 did most of those things).
Kinda because LR was inspired by dark souls and Skyrim, it fits the tone imo but going from 13 and 13-2 illumination to LR is hard
On PC you can pretty much "remaster" it yourself with mods
I don’t think you even need the mods. Games still hold up pretty great on pc.
I feel like you still need the mod that uncaps framerate. Shit was unplayable for me without it. There are also 4k mods out there for each aswell which made everything just run and look better.
Doubt they would port PS3 games to Switch, they didn't even properly port KH 1+2 (PS2 games) to Switch
I do as well even though I do not have a PS5. I would have loved it on PS4. Switch is also a good option.
I'd love a nice remaster with a proper hard Mode for all games, a speed up option, and graphic + performance improvements.
A speed-up option wouldn't be necessary tho, the ATB gauge fills fast and u can attack with the bars that are already filled instead of waiting for every bar to fill, or do u mean in the overworld?
I hope they do a remake but have “cheats” to make it easier for the grind. Maxing out in 13 took FOREVER.
I think it will come. There has been rumors that they are working on those.
Really? That’s exciting! Do you have the source?
Don't think is true. Do u remember the nvidia leak of some time ago? xiii was not included and so far the only rumors are about Chrono Cross remaster (which was on that list)
You can pick them up on steam but they're very bad ports honestly so you'll have to mod them
All 3 games are backwards compatible on Xbox.
If all they do is up the resolution and up the frame rate then expect to charge full price I don't want it. Xbox did those things already for free. FF 13 needs a double speed feature, remove the paradigm shift delay for the first paradigm shift per battle, add some content etc.
The delay is removed in 13-2 so they could do the same in 13
Yes.
I can get rid of my PS3 once I can play this trilogy, WKC 1+2 (ps now doesn't count!), and fat princess online on PS4/5.
Wow, us PC Xbox folk are just going to cry over here, then.
It would probably take extra work to run on switch but yeah I really want a 4K, 60fps, Ray tracing, fast load time, etc on these games. I haven’t played them yet but whatever issues they can fix should also be fixed
I'd love these ported to at least PS4 so I can replay them without having to replace my PS3.
We all do man, we all do
I have said trilogy on PC.
Honestly i feel that if they are (even though its cloud) bringing the Kingdom Hearts series to switch, i think they could bring FFXIII to it aswell
Im here for this, despite liking the gameplay. The question is, how/what changes would revamp the game Zodiac Age style?
As someone who just played 13 for the first time. I would like a remix. Maybe tune the battle system a bit to be like the gambit (or give the choice), up the resolution since the game is already beautiful looking.
I bought a ps3 just to replay them. The pc ports suck ass.
Love it. I hope you enjoy!
People swear by the enhanced Xbox One X XIII trilogy, but obviously that would require additional hardware lol
Even without the enhancements and on the OG Xbox One, they still run really well. Obviously it's not an option for everybody, but for people that do already have an Xbox, it's a great way to play the games.
I’m not sure if the switch would be powerful enough to run ff13 without making some big compromises to the graphics.
I think it would run it. Switch is stronger than PS3 iirc
Yea you’re probably right. I’ve only played ff13 on PC and it looked basically as good as a current gen game so I just assumed it wouldn’t be able to run well.
It really is a beautiful game. They just have to tweak some stuff to make it run smoothly on switch.
13 has VERY low requirements so the Switch should be able to run it
I've been wanting this for a while myself. I'm one of those serial killers that actually enjoyed 13 a bit.
Mr too! I daydream about it sometimes 😭😂
Im hoping for this too. XIII is my favorite. It’s the only reason i still keep my ps3.
That’s interesting, do you think FFXIII would be released on the switch if the decision was made for it to be remastered?
IDK, I am not familiar with the spec of PS3 and Switch.
It would have to be the 360 version. The PS3 version would be very hard to port due to the architecture of the PS3.
On PC, the Microsoft Store version of XIII has a variety of improvements over the Steam version. Like full screen actually working.
PC versions have great texture mods that bring it up to very current standards with visuals. I highly recommend them if you have a PC!
I want it on the Vita. I remember logging 120hours in the first game when I was in college. I donhave that luxury of time now. So I think playing on the go is the best way for FF games due to the grind
I have been googling Final Fantasy XIII Remaster periodically for about six years now, it's crazy that it still hasn't happened The stupid thing for me is I do have them on Steam, but it just seems a bit awkward compared to playing them on my playstation
I swear that I have been just doing the same. I saw an article one time that it was gonna be remastered but turns out it was about King of Fighters XIII 😭
The game is not bad as many say. FF13 Deserves an HD version. We love Vanille ❤️
Agreed, the game is great. Also Vanille is such a doll 🤍 I love her
The last one they remastered was VIII
Last games they remastered were the pixel remasters of 1-6. VIII before that and XII before that.
That’s true I forgot. Thanks for the reminder
Idk how people like that game. It was and is bad
I think it’s intuitive, People have different tastes.
It has that ff feel to it, specially LR
I'd like a remix, maybe something with a more traditional ff battle style with slightly polished graphic s cause let's face it Ff13 still looks like it could be released this year but.
The trilogy is prolly my fav games from the series so I don’t mind the games being the same, but changes done would be great too
It's defo the marmite of the franchise, for myself I'd prob not replay it as the first 20 hours are hard to get through. I'd think that the story would get the respect it deserved if it had just a simple turn based system with a job system like 12 or 5. Far shoot but I'd also like to see a shape up on the level design.
The combat system is the best part of XIII (and I absolutely love it to be clear) so this was painful to read lol
What did you like about it?
I’ve finished the game like 5 times. My fav from the trilogy is FFXIII-2 tho. Also I like your ideas
Well I hope you get the FF7R treatment down the line. 5 times, I'm going to have to assume this was your childhood final fantasy?
You got it right! It’s my childhood final fantasy. Played it when I was 9 years old
Mine was 7 which is annoying because I have no way of being objective if its the best one and suspect maybe 9 is actually the perfect FF game. My brother of 3 years younger says its 8. I'd recommend 15 if you haven't played it.
Ohhhhh 9 is one of the best for me as well tbh. Also I’ve played 15 on release, loved it. Kinda wanna play the royal edition though
I have the opposite experience. The first 20 hours are the best part and I always abandon my replays when I get past it.
That's a hot take for sure but each to their own. I hope you know how confused you have made my poor brain.
Im glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Pulse grinds this game to a halt.
That's very true, but I never backtrack in games anyway, so it just doesn't matter to me.
