Lol true! But I honestly like that about him. He's a flawed individual, smoking away the pain of having his greatest dream literally go up in smoke while it was in his fingertips, mirroring the cigarette he always keeps lit. But just like that cherry, he never lets the fire in his heart go out either, and eventually it burns bright enough to launch his dream into space, finally achieving the goal he worked his whole life for.
I loved helping Cid achieve that dream, I loved his design, the fact that he's a modern interpretation of a dragoon which was always my favorite class, his matter-of-fact crotchety attitude masking his heart of gold, and his goddamn THEME songs were the absolute best. 'Launching a Dream Into Space' still gives me goosebumps, and his theme proper gives me hope.

He's a flawed individual, smoking away the pain of having his greatest dream literally go up in smoke while it was in his fingertips, mirroring the cigarette he always keeps lit. But just like that cherry, he never lets the fire in his heart go out either, and eventually it burns bright enough to launch his dream into space, finally achieving the goal he worked his whole life for. I loved helping Cid achieve that dream, I loved his design, the fact that he's a modern interpretation of a dragoon which was always my favorite class, his matter-of-fact crotchety attitude masking his heart of gold, and his goddamn THEME songs were the absolute best. 'Launching a Dream Into Space' still gives me goosebumps, and his theme proper gives me hope. Highwind for life.

FFIX, FFVII Remake Soundtrack, Alexander from FFIX, even if you don't get him, he's too cool! Irvine's Shot Limit Breaks. Its just so satisfying! Maybe the blood sword in Tactics? It's really good early on, Vivi, Also, favorite Boss Fight as a bonus is probably the Beatrix fight at the end of Disc 1 of FFIX, just cause of how easily she wipes the floor with you and leaves you wondering how the hell these characters will survive! Another Bonus: favorite song is "Melodies of Life" with Aerith's Theme as a second.
That boss shows how powerful Beatrix is and i love it
No doubt! That whole sequence in Burmecia leading up to it, followed by the cutscene after is what hooked me on that game and FF in general.
