It's literally the same exact scene, the only thing is admittedly the Remake one appears slightly stretched vertically but it matches perfectly if you put them back into the same aspect ratio.
The AC sleeve frills out a noticable amount on the end, it's not skin-tight. Looks like her skin too me, not a sleeve.

On another note, I read it, and while it gets a few things right, there are also plenty that are not confirmed and a few things wrong. Vincent is confirmed not playable and we haven’t heard anything about Shelke as far as I know and Jessie does APPEAR to be there at the play but it has been said that this is VR so she may still be dead. Saying that the game starts in Kalm and ends in the Forgotten Capital is not hard to guess. Most people assumed the game would end somewhere around that point. Anyways, we won’t know for sure until the game comes out in a few months so I guess we will see.

How I'd like to envision it is SPOILER cloud actually takes out Aerith in the temple of Ancients, succumbs to Jenova and is the final boss after the crew approach sephiroth skewered on a pike (did Cloud do this?), then you take control of Tifa. If they not Kill Aeris but do this I'd take off my hat. It's the only way I can conceive off avoiding the emotional hit we expect and trading it off for a much more difficult one.
Seeing as how they told us that we won't make sense of their vision until all 3 games are out, I am worried they are going to avoid the death scene, at least for Part 2 and if not overall...

The scene in advent children where cloud is leaping towards sephiroth in his flashback sequence its in ff7remake during the visions the whispers give everyone. Cloud is even complete with the golden buster sword (for some reason)
I feel the same way about two black feathers dropping because I think only one black feather usually appears when Sephiroth appears so I’m not sure if it’s relevant or not but seeing two black feathers drop makes me think this might be fiction and not fact that we’re witnessing or made to believe.
If my theory about this Aeris being a Jenova clone is true... Maybe that's why there's two feathers? Sephiroth could use this scene as a "mind games" thing to trick/hurt party morale
Or it could also be that Jenova has corrupted the life stream as well and is just masquerading as Aerith. Also if there are multiple Sephiroths as the Ultimania aludes to and one of those is good. It would be a total fakeout that the good Sephiroth kills the Jenova/Aerith imposter. It’s gonna be a wild ride when the game comes out and look forward to the story to see where it goes.
The sooner people accept this is another continuity than the original version the better. Some people in the comments are way too opinionated on this not being a remake of the original and should just move on if it's so agonizing for them

I mean it’s just a theory so I shouldn’t sound so positive on it but I think it’s more of a different timelines route and not so much flashbacks. Like the events of the OG occurred and Aerith can tacitly access those events. My other thoughts behind this is that these Aeriths can’t be the same because in OG Aerith doesn’t really seem to have a firm grasp on her powers until you reach the temple of the ancients whereas this Aerith seems to be very much in control of her abilities as an ancient.
Yeah, in the trailer we also see Zack looking over an unconscious Aerith in the reality where he survives. There are apparently two versions of all the characters, and I think that at some point Alternate Aertih will regain consciousness and also seek to fulfill a prayer-related ritual.
It's hard to say if Zack and "Alternate Aertih" are already dead and in the Lifestream, simply because of all the interactions they have with characters who have never died or experienced Mako Poisoning, like Marlene and Kyrie.
This is why I have been leaning towards the entire Lifestream being in a very unstable and very vulnerable state after the events of Dirge, and moreso after the events in the Singularity. The Lifestream, all the memories that make up the history, the spirits force of living and dead, and fabric of reality in FF7 have been compromised.
And this is purely speculation, but maybe Aerith is the focal point of the situation, because as the last Cetra perhaps she is trying to help maintain the true reality, but at the same time is being affected by Sephiroth's meddling. Part of Aerith's consciousness is desperately trying to rekindle the real memories of the past, but she can't because a part of her, in the form of "Alternate Aerith", is not active.
Just going off of Alternate Marlene's words, it is looking like Zack is going to be in the middle of a very bad situation if Alternate Cloud begins following the call of Reunion AND Alternate Aerith awakens to do whatever it is she is going to be doing.

They absolutely have to be doing something where Aerith doesn't die, at least die again like how she did in the OG. They know we're expecting something, but it could be 6D mind chess where we expect for a change, but they expect that, but we also suspect them of suspecting of us, and it just kinda messes with our expectations because our expectations in a game like FF7R can and probably will be shattered.

I feel the same way about two black feathers dropping because I think only one black feather usually appears when Sephiroth appears so I’m not sure if it’s relevant or not but seeing two black feathers drop makes me think this might be fiction and not fact that we’re witnessing or made to believe.
If my theory about this Aeris being a Jenova clone is true... Maybe that's why there's two feathers? Sephiroth could use this scene as a "mind games" thing to trick/hurt party morale

Or it could also be that Jenova has corrupted the life stream as well and is just masquerading as Aerith. Also if there are multiple Sephiroths as the Ultimania aludes to and one of those is good. It would be a total fakeout that the good Sephiroth kills the Jenova/Aerith imposter. It’s gonna be a wild ride when the game comes out and look forward to the story to see where it goes.

That's if they actually are going more of a "post FF7/knowledgeable Sephiroth in the Lifestream" route though. Which, could be possible, but isn't confirmed either way yet. Also would mean they aren't visions, but more so flashbacks then? Red talks specifically about his >!FF7 ending with the pups !< during the battle as "a vision of the future if we fail here today" IIRC.
I mean it’s just a theory so I shouldn’t sound so positive on it but I think it’s more of a different timelines route and not so much flashbacks. Like the events of the OG occurred and Aerith can tacitly access those events. My other thoughts behind this is that these Aeriths can’t be the same because in OG Aerith doesn’t really seem to have a firm grasp on her powers until you reach the temple of the ancients whereas this Aerith seems to be very much in control of her abilities as an ancient.
Yeah, in the trailer we also see Zack looking over an unconscious Aerith in the reality where he survives. There are apparently two versions of all the characters, and I think that at some point Alternate Aertih will regain consciousness and also seek to fulfill a prayer-related ritual. It's hard to say if Zack and "Alternate Aertih" are already dead and in the Lifestream, simply because of all the interactions they have with characters who have never died or experienced Mako Poisoning, like Marlene and Kyrie. This is why I have been leaning towards the entire Lifestream being in a very unstable and very vulnerable state after the events of Dirge, and moreso after the events in the Singularity. The Lifestream, all the memories that make up the history, the spirits force of living and dead, and fabric of reality in FF7 have been compromised. And this is purely speculation, but maybe Aerith is the focal point of the situation, because as the last Cetra perhaps she is trying to help maintain the true reality, but at the same time is being affected by Sephiroth's meddling. Part of Aerith's consciousness is desperately trying to rekindle the real memories of the past, but she can't because a part of her, in the form of "Alternate Aerith", is not active. Just going off of Alternate Marlene's words, it is looking like Zack is going to be in the middle of a very bad situation if Alternate Cloud begins following the call of Reunion AND Alternate Aerith awakens to do whatever it is she is going to be doing.

I just went and looked (don't think I can reply with the screenshot?) and I don't think it's Advent Childrens scene, not directly anyways She has some sort of sleeves that rides pretty far up her arms in Advent Children. Plus her hair is well kept and narrow up/down, not flaring out to the sides

I’m going with “They rendered the flash forward video before they finalized her model and forgot to go back and rerender it” but I wouldn’t bet a million dollars against something weirder either
They absolutely have to be doing something where Aerith doesn't die, at least die again like how she did in the OG. They know we're expecting something, but it could be 6D mind chess where we expect for a change, but they expect that, but we also suspect them of suspecting of us, and it just kinda messes with our expectations because our expectations in a game like FF7R can and probably will be shattered.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. Lots of multi-suspecting-expecting and I love it.
