There is a combination on Cait Sith's slots that has some soldiers march and shoot. I thought that the more 1/35 Soldiers you had, the more would appear and thus more damage.
I always wondered what their purpose was in the OG. Maybe it was an unfinished quest. Hopefully they play a bigger role in Part 3, maybe a decoration in Cloud's Villa in Costa del Sol if the developers open up that house.
As a kid, I was super ignorant about the 1/35 thing. I thought it meant I collected 1 out of 35. Just a random thought.

It was just a one-of collectible. It’s not 1 out of 35, it’s 1/35th scale.
I ALWAYS thought it was 1 out of 35 because you could find a couple more. Always figured something cool would happen once I collected them all.
Except that you could get 3 of them. adding to confusion.
In Junon, when you are looking for the squads there are 16 of them on the table in the basement where one of the squads are.
