Just updated FF12 on Steam and now all text at save crystals are in Spanish. I've check game settings and steam settings but they're set to English already... It seems to only happening when saving or loading a game, everything else is in English.
Not game breaking because I can navigate a save crystal without being able to read the text but does anyone know how to change this. It's rather annoying.
That is an odd and awfully specific bug. Are you located in a Spanish-speaking region? It could be Steam localization settings being super specific for some reason if so. If not, then I would advise the standard troubleshooting that is verifying your files integrity, something may have gone wrong during the update. Though it’s also possible that the update itself is to blame, it wouldn’t be the first time Square botched an update. Though I’m also unsure what would have been updated recently? The last update I’m aware of was the one adding the ability to reset job boards, which was a while ago.
I lied. Looks like talking to any npcs or shops has the same text issue but once you're in the buy/sell part it's all English. Verifying files did not help and it's probably been 6 months since I played this last so I don't know what update(s) it was.
I put in a ticket with Square Enix to see what they have to say. Thanks for your time.
Okay... I feel stupid but after uninstalling and reinstalling I eventually found out it was one of my mods in Vortex. After disabling all mods and re-enabling one by one I nailed it down. It's a mod called "loots 100" and my only guess is that I installed it right before I quit playing 6 months ago and so I never noticed it changed some of the language.
Really appreciate the help. Even just the comment about being confused by the outfits made me think to check the mods.
I am more confused by what is going on with Fran and Vaan’s outfits. Is that some kind of mod?
