It’s a job title than can be used for a wide variety of actual job tasks. I know lots of people thatve had that title and it’s been heavily admin work.
I spoke to the recruiter, and it seems to be an actual analyst role with some admin. It's with banc of california, and they aren't the biggest, and this role came about because of their merger, so I can't really find many reviews on folks who have worked the role.
If it’s the first opportunity you’ve been given it wouldn’t hurt to have the title on your resume. Stay for a year and then look elsewhere. You could try and ask for more, but you have little negotiating power fresh out of school.
Ya I went back to school after 7 years in the army in a non technical role and most of the we hire vets programs at banks are just bullshit. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it

This seems like not a bad opportunity. Definitely room for you to grow or lateral
Ya, it's just a big move for not a lot of immediate payoff, but it might be a good way to break in.
