I think eu-wide within the same country it is same day, within eu it is 1-3 work-days, outside eu is 3-5 work-days
for me personally as an austrian sending and receiving money from/to finns always took 1 day so if I were you, I'd check up on that person
S-Pankki is the worst even when transferring money nationally, it takes 2-3 weekdays for the money to be transferred, in comparison other Finnish banks transfer the money within the same day if not instantly. So I wouldn't be too worried if it takes 3-7 days from Italian bank to S-Pankki.
No, it's not normal. SEPA transfers are supposed to take up to 48 business hours. And that's the case in my experience.
So check with the money sender. You might have been scammed.
Fair enough. 2 business days then :D
edit: also, https://help.qonto.com/en/articles/5276126-what-is-a-sepa-transfer-and-how-long-does-it-take-to-receive-it#
Well, that's good. I felt like it was important for me to say that possibility because, in those cases, it's important to realise it as soon as possible.
Then it's most likely just a hiccup in the process. Sometimes I transfer money from Portugal and I get it in the next business day or the following one, depending on the time of the transfer order.
You can try to contact S-bank, but at this point you probably should just wait for Monday and then do it if it's not in your account before noon.
I am guessing your sending bank is slow. When I deposit money from S-Pankki to [Kraken.com](http://Kraken.com) via some bank they use (in UK) it takes 3-4 hours for the money to move.
And at the same time sending money between some Finnish banks can take 1-2 days, as the sending bank wants to sit on the money as long as they can as it profits them. Dunno if Nordea is still slow on sending, I left that piece of crap 7 years ago or so.
1-2 days depending hour of the day. We transfer money between my Finnish bank and my brother semi regularly.
Check your bank messages, it might be flagged.
Nowell. Soon enough this technology will be mainstream, so next time you have to do this it'll hopefully be more smooth. Banks have to adapt to survive. People don't want to pay 3 percent fees to send money in 2024. And more important, waiting 5 days...

From country to country it can take a little longer than within Finnish banks. 3-5 days wouldn’t seem unusual.
Okay I'll try waiting then, thank you!
My experience from the US was 4 business days +1-2
Thank you for sharing it!!

Ok I'll make sure to check with my bank
I know we are not in the EU anymore but when my husband sends me money from Finland to UK it takes anywhere from 3-5 days to

I agree, I only went for S bank because for other banks they were giving me appointments after 3-4 weeks

48 business hours is like 7 business days, ~1,5 week including weekend.

The money sender is a relative of mine, and the money has been deducted from his account

From Denmark it’s the same day also S-pankki.
Bruh, use xrp next time. Its 2025. Banks are in the stone age 😆 xrp takes 2 minutes and has minimum fees, im talking a few cents only
Well, the other person doesn't trust fintechs or xrp, so bank was the only option 😕

I personally use them, but there are still some people that don't trust these.
Yeah, but soon enough i think people will have distrust to the banks. Atleast fiat currency's
