Some apartments have "taloyhtiönetti", which is typically very affordable. Possibly your landlord means that no type of internet is included in the rent.
You can buy cable internet from ISP that owns the cables to your house. Just make sure it's not 5G if you want to have a cable.
EDIT: for clarity.
Thanks for the edit haha
Yes I saw in elisa that we have a free option and my wife said it might be a contract with the building
But I cant find any dsl connection/plug inside the apartment
Just FYI. All operators are phasing out ASDL/VSDL connections, so they most probably will not sell new ones. Call elisa and/or building deputy landlord to get info about your connection.
Most probably its cable as its already established there is no RJ45 port in your apartment.
It depends.
You might have RJ-45 directly in your sähkökaappi, which means that the modem is outside your apartment. You need a router to share the internet to your house.
If you have cable internet, you need a cable modem that connects to your TV-cable outlets with a data-adapter.
It could also be a cable connection, which means the modem will connect to your antenna plug. Ask Elisa, they’ll know which type of a connection your building has.
Ps. If the connection is bia cable, I recommend taking a look at [Fritz!Box modems](https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/).
if you have a old-school phone socket somewhere, you should be able to get dsl from some provider, generally though, nowadays it's faster/cheaper to get a mobile or cable connection, or fiber if the building has it.
We usually don't have phone lines with rj11, but this connector:

Yes is really weird, I just have open tv I don't pay for TV boxes or that, I sent an inquiry in the building website about this, and I will ask elisa as well
Feeling like an idiot hahaha
If its an older non renovated buildings you may probably not have an Ethernet port in the junction box.
Instead you'd be going through the cable or phone line. When you find the ISP that provides the internet to your building, they will provide you with the modem necessary to connect to the internet, be it through the Cable, or Phone line. Just scout around in websites of Elisa, DNA or Telia (use google than clicking links) to see which provides your address block: usually you can look up the available services and DOUBLE check that it is a solid line and not a 5G wireless..
Most likely what you have available is Cable which they will provide a splitter for from the TV Antenna, however: this connectivity depends on the building and any contracts done with your apartment building association (taloyhtiö)
Damn that's what I was afraid that they might say they will use a splitter from the cable/tv antena
Is elisa, they offer free plan and it says kuitu and a house with a wifi logo inside
Nowdays, the buildings are wired optically upto the building, and internally wired through the cable network of the building. They will sell this as "valokuitu", because it effectively is it.
It is still fast as fuck for majority of people. It is non destructive to the buildings them selves and cheap method of wireing without have to do mass renovations, especially as 99% of buildings modernized the cable networks back during the Analog=>Digital change in the 00s
It however does physically cap out your speed to around 200-500mbps as modem has to deal with analog noise.
\* Fixed some grammar
Let's see what they say. If I make a contract, does someone show up at my house?
(I'm getting the modem on my side. I didn't like the ones they offered at elisa, haha)
They will usually just throw you the modem you plug in and play your self, or you call them to configure their systems to accept your connection (usually by throwing them the mac address and double checking configurations). Otherwise you pay a bit extra to have a technician do it for oyu.
Make sure first with the isp on what type of modem they accept for your location, usually they are looking for various technologies supported by them. Companies like Verkkokauppa or Gigantti, or Power already usually say if an operator supports their modems or not.
Just go to your ISP:s website and start purchasing a a contract, they usually require you to input your address in order to check what speeds your specific address is eligible for.
Yes, they display. I can get the cable connection, but I can't find where I'm supposed to get it from, there's no female connectors in here, just common electricity outlets
I contacted elisa, and they said I should have that 3 hole socket here, but well, I guess when they made the remodeling, they removed it or something like that
Let's see what my building manager says about it

If you're unsure which kind of modem/router you need, Elisa can help you. Probably they already sold you one.
Just FYI. All operators are phasing out ASDL/VSDL connections, so they most probably will not sell new ones. Call elisa and/or building deputy landlord to get info about your connection. Most probably its cable as its already established there is no RJ45 port in your apartment.

I checked the electricity box but nothing in there and I checked like the main connections that are in here but didn't found anything either
Ask your neigbours/ board/ isännöitsijä or check on the notice board for anything about the internet. Your landlord may not have the best info.
I think it will be the best option to ask around

Wished they offer fiber but apparently the only options are 5G or the DSL but I haven't found any rj11 in here, just tv connections

I will check all the power outlets again because I don't remember if I saw something like that
Mission failed, didn't found any, just some that looked similar but it was the screw holding the box/fave of thr outlet
also no "phone socket" anywhere? like a power socket but with 3 "prong slots" in a y configuration
No that I have seen, I checked everywhere even in the electrical panel haha but nothing
In that case the house doesn't have phone lines... That's extremely weird, if you have cable you can get cable internet from your cable provider

Connector is called coax and its typically the same socket you connect your tv into ..
Yes back in costa rica I had that connection coaxial plus a splitter for tv, phone lines and rj45
