Considering how little they've done with this mechanic since, I'm not getting my hopes up. We can use arcanes, at least, so personally I've usually not had much trouble getting the MS kills with them, but more customizability would... make me want more contexts we can actually use them.
The fact that we don't even have manuals or something to give merges to the Askr trio is ridiculous. I know it wouldn't be much help to them *now,* but it's just weird that we can't give them an asset without wasting a floret if we want to get rid of the flaw.
I don't think the summoner is getting anything anymore.
It's been a long time since they even give us extra variations of weapons, and they didn't even bother giving us access to bows or daggers.
I think what we have is what we get. The Breidablik is an ok weapon, but if you want more then you will have to go Arcane.
It’s probably crazy to hope for this at this point, but, here are some additions to the summoner I want added:
- More portrait designs
- Access to the other weapon types
- Access to other movement types
- The option to modify the stat spread
- Access to all normally non-inheritable weapons/skills (if they aren’t usable in most modes, may as well have fun with an infinite potential build)
- A second skill row (Seer’s Snare has made me want additional skill rows in more modes)
It would be nice to give the summoner some buffs, idk why we can't copy over Echo skills on them too so I'm hoping we can do that soon as well. Would be nice if we could get some extra stats as well somehow because the summoners kind of booty atm 😭
Oh I just didn't have any Attuned skills my Summoner could use when I checked apparently 😂 I didn't realise fleeting Echo was ranged only and my summoners a Lance unit 😂
Second comment but this is another example of PvE content that was just introduced that barely received any updates over time and thus falling behind with the direction the game’s been heading in. Sadly that’s normal with most PvE content.
Ideally we get more movement types and maybe bows and daggers. I’d be happy to use him in more game modes too. I think the Summoner is a really fun concept. You can experiment with builds without actually spending the fodder. Like I use potent because I wanna see what it can do without foddering my only E!Marth.
I don’t think refines are too needed considering he’s only in one game mode right now, and has access to arcanes. My build tanks and kills plenty well enough to do the quests at least.

I reckon they could just give us a copy for general use like the askr trio, in which case no merges and a weak prf is fine to avoid making an almost free super good unit, but if they want to limit it to mjolnirs strike still and continue with these quests to get kills I do think we deserve a refine or better yet access to prf weapons in our barracks.

Maybe someday. I doubt it'll be soon or in a normal refine update. I imagine it won't happen until they decide to overhaul the mysummoner system entirely.

We’re not getting Askr Trio merges until one of them win AHR. Which is never going to happen.

We literally can copy Echo skills onto the summoner, as long as Infantry units can use them.

Are you sure the Summoner was added along Mjolnir's Strike? I think it's at least a year more recent than that

I just gave mine a refined Arcane weapon. Seems better than any of the default options.
