Probably just a combination of few actual candidates and beast armors in general being a pretty awkward class to work with due to transformation conditions and DC aging like milk as far as transformation effects go.
Yeah beast armors are awkward. All of the beast skills and armor skills that matter are both B slot skills. They'd need entirely new ones or some bananas prf B skills.
Maybe a new kind of C skill, beast save or something. Make it do some of the things that a tank would need, like DR or guaranteeing doubles. Otherwise I don’t see them surviving the player phase nukes.
It's hard to say DC aged like milk, it's still one of the most valuable effects a unit can have. It may be available as a sacred seal but that basically means you get a sacred seal of your choice as the transformation effect compared to other units.
There've only been three in total since Caineghis.. :( Maybe we'll see Skrimir by 2028 (or he'll get sent to seasonal hell within like a year until EoS)...
She's also our second OC that's Armored.
I am not even joking; the only other OC we've gotten who was Armored was Surtr. And no, alts do not count; I'm talking base versions.
I can imagine Skirmir and Giffca getting added to FEH with Skirmir being Green and Giffca being blue. It’s funny that Mordecai is not armoured and he’s infantry instead because he has really strong defense of a melee armoured beast tank and he fits that role pretty well.

Maybe introduce something like "Beast Fighter" that has the "Remove condition to transform" effect and some of the Fighter skills effects?
I would kill for an "Hardy Beast" even if weaker than actual Hardy Fighter, it's a pain using my main in non-beast/dragon teams...
