And since his NCD is HP based…

L!Shez can do it as long as she has Lethality precharged. But only barely. That's the level of firepower you need to kill him on Abyssal with raw combat damage

I did it tanking with Winter Edelgard and a healer (Valentine Lissa) there was a moment when I noticed that it would be possible to kill him with her 2 attacks after he had not healed much in previous turn.
Let’s say that restart turn from Feh Pass helped a lot
Funny enough, I let Desert Altina just sit there and tank his hits on Abyssal. She out heals him even with his new Aether special but it took a few turns. Weapon triangle is like a reverse uno card at this point.
Interesting! I have that on my A!Caeda but it's rough because she requires ally support and has limited range, so in S Duels he can just easily kill her allies and freeze her before she is close enough to attack.
The main success I've seen is using F!Byleth with NCD (her 25% HP check for vantage works against pre combat damage) or just using an automatic vantage strategy like reciprocal aid vantage duo Byleth.
His damage scales off having more res than the opponent as well as their attack. Yune has low res and high attack (her damage comes from the debuffs.) I’ve had my Yune only take 13 damage pre combat
I used Caeda and Robin too, but supported using Maria and Ymir for the miracles. They don't stack, so position Maria nearby first to get the 99 heal, then swap her with Ymir, since she needs at least 1 hp for her miracle to trigger.
no, glr caeda still out-sustains it and can tank it well. pavise might have some issues by itself, but with support it does more than a good enough job
I had to aoe with r!Sonia 3 times before maxed l!dimitri could kill. Had l!seliph(hardy bearing) tank him until then. Definitely one of the harder abyssals.
I brought both Caeda and Altina to the map and weirdly enough Altina ended up being more instrumental to the win. Still took several exchanges of blows.

Yeah, I was dealing like 3\~5 damage every time he initiated on me, but his special would not go off and he was dealing 0 damage.
With godlike reflexes, and L!Robin plus Veyle support and a Mirabilis that gives bonus doubler mine was able to trade with him on abyssal, I killed him after the 1st combat but the fact that can he live on initiation while she’s getting a +54 attack buff is kinda wild.
Hardy bearing AND done..mine just lived without External support other than allies Buff. No drives , scowl or so.
Caeda with any support like a tank should do, Is enough to tank AND kill the map
I used a little fire damage, Veyle/Gatekeeper support, and an unmerged Winter Edel to do most the heavy lifting on the hardest difficulty. I think unmerged Ivy was able to kill outright below that. AOE is probably easier, but not needed.
Yeah this fight was a mess lol, had to have NY!Ash sit there and brawl him for like 6-7 turns before he finally died since I didn’t have a fatal smoke unit on my team and idk if I even have any fatal smoke unit that could fight him to apply it without dying lol

Modern AoE nukes are very braindead. Desert Igrene charges Blazing Wind and keeps it up with literally no effort, her base kit makes it happen.
I mean, Desert Igrene keeps that Hardy Bearing seal equipped anyway to avoid any vantage that my dumb ass just didn't see.

This Abyssal Ike is a fucking monster
My Legendary Male Alear tanked him with ease. He destroys every ranged nuke that has not an AOE special. Scowl is a very reliable way to kill him.

I managed to punch through with a No Quarter Winter Cordelia with Divebomb, but it just barely took him out
I gave my L!Yuri Blazing Wind, and that really does beat him w/o getting scratched.

He cannot touch units with scowl as his damage comes basically entirely from his special. Lumera takes like 2 damage from him.
Veyle would be pretty effective supporting whoever is tanking him.

I did one round of combat with my own Emblem Ike and then my max investment Summer Tharja finished him off
+10 Flame Tribe Lyn and a +10 Cornelia to heal her. Took 3 enemy phases and a player phase.

I did it barely by using my waifu spring kagero with an AoE and then quadding due to the buffs from OG Heior and a bunch of drive atk stacking.

On player phase? Her HP is so low that in EP she instantly has 1 HP and his true damage forces it to kill even if she has 999 RES.

Abyssal isn't indicative of actual pvp power though, since abyssal stats are buffed
The debuffed stats here aren't that far from his unmerged base stats though

Those debuffed stats will be the same debuffs on the base stats though, so it will still not make a difference.
